There are different variations.

For example, I'm into vore as a secondary thing to giantess. Only within the fetish. It fits well into giantess shit because it's like, a primally, obviously violent act that is basic to human existence (eating another being), but subverted by the fetish so that another human being is the victim. That's a dynamic that giantess fetish is just ideally suited to, a lot of stuff in the fetish is like that. So it makes perfect sense to me for it to be realistic - hard vore, chewing, painful horrific death.

BUT I have noticed that people who are primarily vorefags and secondarily giantessfags tend to be the other way around completely. For them, giantess is the vehicle to get at their core fetish, vore. And they seem, for the most part, to like "soft vore," where the person is swallowed and usually survives in the stomach. Also they tend to like more "cartoon-y" vore, where the smaller person is unswallowably large but gets eaten anyway, which would violate my own preference for realism. Vorefags tend to like more throat cross-sectionals, more focus on depiction of the "squishy insides" of the girl, more focus on the girl burping with satisfaction (common), and the dominance of her disallowing the person out of her stomach. Whereas for me all this stuff seems too on-the-nose vore-y, so I prefer total realism - girls don't often burp or rub their stomachs exaggeratedly, so it puts me off.

tldr: Two major subsets of vore fetishists. Giantess-with-vore and vore-with-giantess. The latter seems to extend tropes from non-giantess vore into giantess, as a general rule. They are more into encompassment, more into vore subtleties (like "being inside someone" as a mixture of comfiness + submission?). Whereas I think guys like me are more into it just as a symbol of extreme dominance and occasionally brutality, e.g. a cute girl biting someone's head off is cruel, humiliating, and horrible, therefore hot.
