Minecraft can be pretty comfy.
I used to play a bunch back in alpha and beta, but it's somehow lost its touch with me. Maybe because it's too bloated, maybe it's because I'm older, not sure.
but other comfy vidya
>Age of Empires 2
>Spore (I know it's autistic)
>Space Engine (just barely a game itself, but I can spend hours and hours exploring the universe in there)
>any GTA (specifically San Andres)
>Floating Point (super comfy physics game)
>essentially any sandbox or physics-based game
>Pokemon (the simplicity of the older games feels more comfy than others, but I think they're all really comfy)
I'd have a longer list, but my computer's capabilities are limited, therefore limiting my scope of vidya. I also just don't play as much as other people to begin with.
Tell me about my shit taste.
I started playing SA again these days and I love it
GTA:SA definitely holds its own as a good game, even today.
But GTA V is also definitely a pretty good game. I think this has more to do with the fact that GTA in general is a really comfy series, always worth playing.
Vanilla WoW used to be so comfy.
It was as if you were a traveler or explorer.
Today the ambiance and mystic atmosphere which once existed is lost.
>so easy everyone should be able to do everything without batting an eyelash
>ridiculously quick leveling
Gta V is unconfy as shit
If there was any Gta which was confy, it certainly was Vice City.
Plating Arma life doing heroin runs in a big truck is pretty comfy.
I prefer Arma 2 and using a ural but I haven't got any pics of that so this is Arma 3.
good taste, I've been listening to http://player.nashe.ru/?play on the in-game web radio on American Truck Simulator
it's fully playable with a controller, wouldn't really recommended WASD, though
I definitely have an xbox controller I can use.
Thanks, anon. I've always wanted to play those truck simulator games, but I was worried I'd be forced to buy a steering wheel and pedals, which seems kind of over the top, for me.
At least before shit hits the fan, walking around the city is nice.
Fallout, obviously. The new one is extra comfy, since you can build cool settlements
I consider the post apocalyptic atmosphere comfy at times. There's something about wandering around the wasteland without purpose and looting and hoaring the best items. I also like the soundtracks that add to the atmosphere to be honest.
Only limiting factor is that something tries to kill you every 10 metres
>work your way to the top
>social interactions are buttons
>can get a qt waifu just with your rank and prestige
nothing can be comfier tbqh
>joined a comfy Minecraft server a few months ago
>tfw after a two week the guy hosting just left and never came back
Playing Minecraft with a lot of other people is comfy, even if you're not really interacting with them, but just building houses sort of close together and making a comfy village.
GTA VC was god tier
Even the graphics were better than San Andreas
And the sun glare, oh god the glare, sun looks better than irl
Very comfy, i play from time to time when i can borrow mom's laptop
DF is pretty comfy if you wall yourself off and don't ever need to go outside but otherwise it's very stressful
>that rush for a water source
Elite: Dangerous in solo mode. I play it when taking breaks from KSP. I recently unlocked warp drive in my current KSP interstellar play through, so I'm due to jump back into some E:D. I binge played a few months ago so that I could afford a Python, and that thing has just been gathering dust since.
Its an odd one but I find both Killing Floor games to be in their own rights
Killing Floor more on gameplay where everyone just holds up a spot, but Killing Floor 2 definitely with maps since they look so good.
The musics are, but I wanted to kill myself within 2 minutes of hearing that retarded threedog faggot with his shitty jokes and extremely annoying voice
Play F1&2 instead
I find Halo 2 to be very relaxing, gameplay, music and design are very soft. Halo Delta and Regret in particular.
Lost Planet 3 is tagged as a bad game but i really enjoyed it, the parts where you're exploring this ice planet in mecha are comfy as fuck.
Thief 2, Deus Ex (the hubs mostly)
There is something comfy about sneaking around the City at night when everyone is sleeping or whatever and just passing through while hiding in the dark corners
What bullshit, there is nothing as comfy as GTA V. Riding down the coastal highway while the sun sets or flying around low and slow in a prop plane when a thunderstorm rolls is among my favorite ways to chill, along with hiking up the mountain and watching the sunset, going out onto the ocean or just chilling over by the rapids where people are fishing and have campfires going. You're just wrong. GTA5 is extremely comfy, fucking nostalgiafag.
If anything, the one thing i don't like about stalker is the lack of direction. I got the drive from strelok but i couldn't even give it to the barkeep. Also, it reminded me that I have no idea why the fuck I'm looking for strelok or who he is.
>come back from the zone laden with loot
>barkeep pays you about 12000 rubles for it all
4 is casualized as fuck
You have diplo, admin and military mana jauges that fill faster or slower depending on your king + advisors and a few modifiers and you use them for EVERY FUCKING THING it's ridiculous
>crush shithole #1552
>ask for peace after beating them thoroughly
>100 diplomatic mana per province
>results in overextension, non accepted cultures, etc
>spend 75 administration mana to change culture in a province
>spend 50 administration mana to core a province
Fuck EU4 but I still like it
How do I into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I have SoC but holy shit I'm so bad. /vg/ said to play on the highest difficulty, tried that for 10+ hours, got my ads handed to me several times over. Kept going down levels, enemies took too many hits to the point where it didn't feel fair. Help. Please. I love fallout and this seems like the logical next step.
Hyperdimension neptunia series. just easy ass battles, light grinding, and lots of cute girls doing cute things.
Total War series, especially the original rome, Medieval, and Shogun 2 are very relaxing to play once you get the hang of them and you know how to win battles. Having a battle in the rain and watching the droplets falling onto your samurai's armor is great
Fallout New Vegas is absolutely the best if you ignore the repetitious main quest and spend your time being a junker going through old ruins looking for loot and materials to scrap. Also with some mods you can make it however you want.
It gets better once you stop using the bullshit starting weapons and get your hands on something good. Keep playing on hardest difficulty, but try to play very conservatively and tough it out until you get your hands on weaponry that you can aim and fire reliably from a distance then the game becomes cake
Until you have to go to lab X-18. Stock up on alot of ammo
Nothing beats putting on a good album and roaming the galaxy.
It's a dream, really.
I've always thought the assassin's creed series was Bella comfy. Somthing about climbing up those view points and looking around was really relaxing. Its the only series I can say I've 100 percent completed.
My own personal list
>TES 4 Oblivion
>TES 5 Skyrim
>Any 3D Fallout (The 2D titles are good, but not comfy)
>GTA SA and IV
Basically any game where you take your time to learn about the world in the game
I have spent so much time in this simulator. I probably heard every song hundred times but it still doesn't bother me.
This would be my favorite comfy game if it wasn't for vanilla wow nostalgia.
Fuck you, I said I prefer Arma 2 because it's leagues better but I had an Arma 3 pic.
Altis life is still decent. I play in an Arma 2 squad and have about 2000 hours in game but life is good.
You're probably shite pal.
i'm probably the only person here who's played noctis but damn was that shit comfy
i'm looking forward to no man's sky so much, since noctis v has been vaporware for years
get out you hostile pleb
No love for ETS2?
It's literally "comfy robot: the game"
>dual monitor tv or movie
>or listen to music/radio
>no human interaction
>just cruisin in your lil customised truck
>exploring nice landscapes
>king of the road
even my capcha was pics of commercial trucks
except don't drive in the UK cause those weird faggots drive on the left like savages
Well I guess you're bang on the money.
Also reddit and my little poney and tumblr and the freebleeding movement are great and if you don't think I should like these things because you don't like them, well that makes you a massive cunt
I had a shitty pc like you, now I have a good one that can run most games out there, even if not at 60 fps full hd.
Now I lack the will to play shit, other than minecraft and my mmo, dead frontier which barely even use the pc at all.
But that game doesn't have the best girl
Wrong. Pic related. I played this game when I was like 12 years old or somethin and made this girl pregnant as fuck. I stopped playing before she gave birth...thinking about it, that means I abandoned her and now probably owe her child support.
having a little space house in a giant single shard universe minding your own business trying to pay the space bills
simply the perfect robot game
>reach 75% completion
>binding of Isaac stops being comfy and instead becomes a painful grindy slog through greed mode coin farming, keeper unlocks, praying for angel rooms to be even allowed to fight mega Satan, the lost and Maggy runs
Can't believe noone posted this god tier comfy game yet.
Forgot to add this pic. Pic related, best gril right here.
By "paying the space bills" i mean buying subscription with ingame currency
it's a challenge, but still very realistic. Gives a great feeling of accomplishment when you succeed.
I will admit that the beginning is rough and /notcomfy/ but once you stabilize it is by far the most comfy game you will ever play.
I've always enjoyed this game for its atmosphere and dialog interactions. There might be unspeakable horrors ongoing in the sewers, shady film studios, and virtually any warehouse in a bit city, but damn it's comfy in Hollywood.
I already did that for two years in dead frontier.
You can still play without a membership, but you get so much crap it sucks immensely.
Yo eventually get bored of just working to pay the bills and never actually achieving shit, so I started to pay my membership instead.
>can get a qt waifu just with your rank and prestige
Yeah except your waifu will fuck every vassal in your court and have herpes within a month of moving in
This is why I prefer to raid the middle east and force qt mudslimes to be my concubines
No one can fuck them because they are muslim and their portraits are cute
>get some weaponry and food
>rescue a useful survivor or two
>make an impenetrable base out of chairs and shit
>camp out and wait for the helicopter, going on kill runs, looking for food, saving people from psychos
When will this comfy meme just die already?
>someone enjoys a game
>"OMG ITS SO COMFY AMIRITE? XDDDD"
>nothing pleasant or comfortable looking about it at all
>bastardizing the term this hard
If you're the type of faggot who looks at post apocalyptic stuff like fallout and think "yeah, this looks comfy" then you should honestly just kill yourselves.
Skyrim was top comfy for me.
>tfw returning to Breezehome after a long quest and adventuring out, sorting out your loot, Meeko happily barking at you, your wench bringing you dat homemade meal.
Euro Truck Simulator 2
>tfw spent many a evenings at uni, with a mug of warm tea, or some pizza and cola, roaming around Europe, trying out mods and stuff, listening to France Bleu 107.1
Pic related, sitting in your comfy capsule, watching the seconds ticking down before you make your injection burn.
That's not what comfy means you retard
Isn't comfy all about slow, steady progress? I pay my sub because i can afford to (trying to grind for it is a bit too stressful for me).
As for achievements, eve definitely offers that. Imagine planetside 1, but in space. Slowly pushing and growing powerful, or just having the option to chill and be passive for the day.
Comfy varies from person to person, really.
For some people comfy is about reaching the top and just maintaining yourself there.
For others it is about being able to enjoy the game without worries about going fast or running out of time.
But we all know how that game trilogy ended anon.
So fucking true.
Also Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy and Grim Fandango.
i've been getting pretty playing fallout 4, just walking around with my loyal ass dog.
no cellphones, no facebook notifications, radio, eating trash and trying not to be killed.
When i smoke the KUSH it's pretty much just a nervous nightmare the whole time but i like the thrill
>what I based my character on
Just driving around and shooting people, its simple but fun. Had a lot of fun with my mate in San Andreas on multiplayer where we drove around town and he would spray bullets everywhere in the passenger seat.
I know, I was sharing it on messenger groupchat and didn't want to bother taking a screenshot, alt tabbing, and posting the screenshot, when I could just snap a picture of the screen on my phone.
Now I regret it because the pictures are shit.
The only thing I rage quited tibia for was that fucking potions never activated with the hotkey so that I died sometimes because of that.
Then some faggot comes and steals my bright sword (back in 2008 when it was the best low tier sword).
Then my accounts get hacked. Seriously, what the hell.
Spend days long just killing people in a city and killing guards.
Earthbound. It's so... peaceful. I love it's soundtrack.
Just listen to this song and tell me it isn't the theme song of you relaxing at home
or this on a beautiful morning
PS, Paula is my daughterfu!!!
hell yeah man
lsd dream emulator is also comfy
>trying to build comfy island city
>all of a sudden need spices
>have to keep refilling norias manually to grow spices
>managing a shit tonne of trade routes
>corsairs, corsairs everywhere
>if you play with AI they develop so fast it's stressful as fuck
>have to deal with spies and natural disasters
REEEEEEEEE YOU WERE MEANT TO BE COMFY
yeah man lsd dream emulator is crazy lol
go play lsd dream emulator right the fuck now
Civ 5 is pretty comfy, especially getting a nice medium sized island.
I like it but its not really comfy, also is your pc able to run it quickly when the whole world is revealed? I have a i5-4590k but it still lags at the end
Pic related, jesus cocksucking christ i remember first getting past crush, on my sisters birthday party and i was supposed to hide in the gaming room/dads office
this ending brings a tear to my eye ;_; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPqgQPOaqCc
>playing shogun 2
>starts off with destroying everyone brutally
>game progresses over the hours
>bigger and bigger lands
>"shogun is taking note of you"
>kk, fuck off
>on the edge of Kyoto
>finally gonna win after 4 hours of straight play-through
>final battle here we go
>declare war on the shogunate and pass turn inches from the capital
>mfw their allies march in and attack me
>mfw all my dreams and ambitions are crushed as about 4000 japs destroy my cute bow army
YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE COMFY RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I recently starting old Blizzard games and they are some of the cosiest things I have played in a long time. Warcraft III and vanilla World of Warcraft have kept me busy for many months now. I only wish I could have played both games in their primes. I'm going to start playing Diablo II soon as well what can I do to make sure I have the best time possible?
why did it have to end.
I agree with OP that Minecraft is a pretty comfy game.
Most of the new editions to the game are pretty shit in the survival aspect, but it's relaxing to just build stuff while listening to a podcast or music.
This is my world I started building in 2012 I think. Will dump a few photos.
A fort in between the harbour and city
it might be the nostalgia talking but burnout 3 was my shit
Fort in the snow, haven't finished it yet.
Best atmosphere and soundtrack of all time
If you're talking about the one I'm thinking about.
Owner had a meltdown and the server is pulled for good. But a couple members from it formed their own server. But I'm vilified and don't know the IP.
I do plan on hosting a server sometime in the future though. Slightly modded to add stuff like, cabinets, new weapons maybe. Tinker's Construct perhaps.
Little Maids a heavy we'll see
Shame, either or it's pretty and I like it. Very good my man.
>pick a character who specializes in speechcraft, mercantile
>spend days picking flowers, and selling potions
>buy fanciest dress up gear
>entertain guards and local populace with my silver tongue
>never leave the Imperial City
Especially on multilayer with robotic friends
Tfw make your fortress or farm, grow crops, hoard food and hide from the horde of zeds
>metro 2033 and last light
It gets better if you mod the game files and change the grass color gradient to be more green.
I swear it helps. They picked shitty hues that are depressing. Getting more vibrant greens is so nice, especially in tundra biomes
I saw back when it started, I wish I could have afforded to buy accounts back when they were a measly 7 bucks.
The game looked promising, but I am not disappointing with what they did. Better than most other sandboxes these days.
No idea if Elkcraft is the new server or not. As I said I'm vilified so I've got no idea what's going on.
Good luck on your search for a comfy Minecraft server anon. I hope that you'll find something suitable.
It's hard these days, now servers are just DONATE FOR EPICS and YOU CAN'T BUILD HERE. I want my server to be semi-vanilla. Read: none of that godawful stuff, just comfy building and goofing off
Honestly I discarded Minecraft's progression when I heard their promises about villager AI.
Anyone who's ever done any AI work ever knows that even simple AI is really hard to do well, and they were making all sorts of big promises. I just knew that it wasn't going to pan out.
Villages are lame. They are the first thing in Minecraft that I truly thought was on the wrong track
Kashyyk is COAT (comfiest of all time)
>strong palisades to keep droids and empire and normies out
>tree houses with strategically placed laser turrets
>speederbikes to ride along the beachfront
one of my favorite servers was called 'swim'
you spawned in a ~40000 block wide ocean, and had to swim for about one or two real-world hours to get to land, and hopefully not getting killed by mobs before finding food and building a bed
it was comfy as fuck, almost all vanilla, nearly no griefers or annoying kids since they didn't have the patience to make the swim
it was worth it though, you almost never ran into other players due to the distances, but when you did it was magical
i stumbled across someone's fortress via a portal in the nether and just explored it and left a sign saying i was there
super chill community for the most part too
I am a nostalgic autist, and it's become shittier in MY OPINION. I didn't ask what retarded 12-year olds thought of the matter, so why did you speak?
Had it on my last computer, now I don't wanna bother getting it again. Feels bad, man.
Tbh, I just downloaded it, but it worked just as well.
They started going "we're gonna have 250 NEW things in each patch" which made it boring after 2 patches. Sure, some stuff was cool, but most was pure shite-like fanservice..
>Save whole world folder in saves
>make a .7z
>upload file to mega or whatever file sharing service you feel like
>Mention which mods are required and version to use the world
It is not rocket science
sometimes i just sailed around to random islands and explored. amazing game.
oh god i just watched a video of this gameplay and it looks so fucking comfy
>UT99, CTF - Facing Worlds
>GTA IV, driving up and down the streets of Algonquin at night
>GTA SA, Grove Street
>Heroes of Might and Magic III, the Castle fortress
>Hitman: Blood Money, House of Cards + A New Life
>Assassin's Creed series: Monteriggioni
There are so many more.
>Hitman: Blood Money, A new life
I must've played that level a thousand times over and over, god damn the memories
Shame people get intimidated by the time mechanics, it's got everything and it's not just a cute girl simulator.
I played the Hitman series so much I ended up doing my own challenges. One of which was to kill everyone in the map with a hammer w/o raising a single alarm.
Another one was executing all targets and only the targets in House Of Cards point blank with the Elephant rifle with 0 witnesses.
Used to play UT2k4 obsessively back in the day.
Would always play the Invasion gamemode servers that also had the UTRPG.
Also had some of the best community created maps, weapons, and monsters I've ever seen in a game. I'd probably had way more than a 1000 hours sunk in that game.
>kill all and only the targets in A Murder of Crows with a stolen kitchen knife, then return the kitchen knife to the chef afterwards
If you threw the knife on the table, the chef would pick it up and start cutting veggies or whatever with the murder weapon.
Shit was cash.
spessmen can be extremely comfy if you're on one of the more autistic servers
Halo 3: ODST was comfy to me. Just walking around as rookie with the background music was nice.
yes ffxiv is very comfy
I am become comfy
They have fully interactive modern cities that you can explore, not a medieval village of thatch huts or some anime cyberpunk fantasy. The humor is great too. It's like roleplaying as an inner city thug without the prison sentence.
LIked the original, but wanted to play as a female (I'm a guy that likes to play as girls because guys are ugly, especially from behind.)
2 and 3 are good, but they didn't have the feeling of growth that the first one did.
Yoot Tower is nice and comfy, especially the Japanese hotel level.
Great fucking taste.
STALKER is one of the only games that has made me want to stop all the action of a game when it starts to rain, so I can get my character under shelter.
You HAVE to play on Master. The only difference difficulty makes is how many bullets it takes to kill something...which applies to your guns AND their guns, so you're actually hurting yourself by playing on a lower difficulty.
Use cover. Use line-of-sight based stealth. If you get caught, stay on the move, because the enemies WILL try to flank you. Use short controlled bursts, never full auto.
There's a STALKER suit hidden in one of the attics in the Cordon village. Climb up a ladder, get onto the roof, then jump across to the other roof, and use your knife to find the crate you find there.
all of my this nigga. I wish you could have an explore mode for rapture and columbia. Fuckin columbia was just beautiful as hell. By the end of the game I felt like the villain for ruining what was basically a picturesque place.
>tfw the pattering of rain on a sheet metal roof
>that one camping spot in the trainyard where you can find those two dead stalkers and all those mutts
It's one of my most favorite places in the game, once you get the bodies out and stuff.
