My parents bought a $4000 metal detector and go together deep into the woods for hours and hours, sometimes an entire day looking for metal. They never find any, what a waste of money.

I got one for Christmas a long time ago. I look it out and ended up digging up a pipe, despite being in the middle of nowhere. Took it to the beach and got no hits. After that it stopped working.
