> I wanna feel how I feel when I'm asleep
DG isn't robot, but this particular song is fairly robot
i feel like burial is pretty robot
I always felt like Ween captured the general feel of this board.
but of course Crywank is basically any feels thread
Why don't you consider anime OST robot music? Are you just an elitistic prick?
has got me through a lot of uncomfortable trips to the supermarket
It's in Finnish, but I don't think that really matters. Just look up the translation of the lyrics, if you want to know the meaning.
don't know why my previous post got all fucked up
Rudy thought that all good things
Comes to those that wait.
But recently he could see
That it may come, but too late...
"A Most Peculiar Man"
He was a most peculiar man.
That's what Mrs. Riordan said and she should know;
She lived upstairs from him
She said he was a most peculiar man.
He was a most peculiar man.
He lived all alone within a house,
Within a room, within himself,
A most peculiar man.
He had no friends, he seldom spoke
And no one in turn ever spoke to him,
'Cause he wasn't friendly and he didn't care
And he wasn't like them.
Oh, no! he was a most peculiar man.
He died last Saturday.
He turned on the gas and he went to sleep
With the windows closed so he'd never wake up
To his silent world and his tiny room;
And Mrs. Riordan says he has a brother somewhere
Who should be notified soon.
And all the people said, "What a shame that he's dead,
But wasn't he a most peculiar man?"
seriously if this ain't robot music i dunno family
The lyrics say nothing about sex, you chose to see the sexual allegory yourself, or you read it on genius or something. The lyrics are pretty average, but I like the imagery that they convey, and I like the delivery more. And art isn't all about metaphors, and the fact that you think that makes it seem like you are pretty new to it
This video has r9k at the end of the URL.
Slint as a band is about conveying imagery, so you're right there, but even if it isn't about sex it's at least a coming of age song. "The girl grabbed my hand, I clutched it tight", this song includes detail which would seem superfluous to a non-metaphorical piece, it's about leaving your comfort zone ("I said goodbye to the ground") by interacting sexually with someone. This is in keeping with Slint's style; listen to Nosferatu Man or Don Aman and tell me there isn't a subtext to either of those
On some real shit, fuck that spiderland album OP everytime we would get high at my boys house myfriends would insist on playing that shit everytime, the first song was OKAY but the rest of the album is total FUCKING GARBAGE, btw one of the guys in the band killed himself
Ever live a life that's real
Full of zest, but no appeal
Ever want to cry so much
You want to die
Ever feel that you've been had
Had so much that you turn mad
Ever been depressed that
(to) those you turn to, you bring distress
Ever sit in tormenting silence
That turns so loud, you start to scream
Ever take control of a dream
And play all the parts and set all the scenes
Ever do nothing and gain nothing from it
Ever feel stupid and then know that you really are
Ever think you're smart and then find out you aren't
Ever play the fool and then find out that you're worse
Ever look at a flower and hate it
Ever see a couple kissing and get sickened by it
Ever wish the human race didn't exist
And then realize you're one too
Well, have you ... ever .. I have
>one of the guys in the band killed himself
Pajo tried but didn't succeed
Even if you don't like the whole album, GMC is probably one of the best tracks on there. From a musical standpoint it really isn't garbage
