I watch anime and while I'm kind of a loser I at least have gotten gfs from anime cons who also like it and love the wish fulfillment. They have literally called me oniichan and it is glorious.

The thing is you have to be able to tell reality from fiction. You can try to make fiction come to life but if you expect everybody and everything to conform to your fantasies you're in for a rough time.
