Just moved to an apartment and don't have Internet yet so I'm teaching myself to cook out of boredom.
Tonight I'm going to do baked chicken breast with Brussel sprouts, onion, mushroom, parsnips and carrots
That's definitely the goal. Recently got a slow cooker too, and been doing a lot witg that. But I feel like it's kinda cheating because I just throw a bunch of shit in a pot and leave it for 8 hours
don't think of it like that, it takes practice to figure out what works together and what doesn't even if you're just throwing in a pot. have you looked at "tasty" recipes? i want to try making some things from there but i don't have time to experiment
That's a good point, haha and I definitely need to work on that. Especially more about herbs/spices
Actually havent, but thanks for the suggestion. Just poking around on there a little bit and I've already started a list of things I want to try.
Think tomorrow I'm going to give creamy parmesan, mushroom and pea risotto bowl tomorrow
nah its just chicken and bacon in a shitty out of the jar sauce with pasta. chocolate protein shake and a banana to accompany. just finished work and threw it together... although i do love chickpeas and i love the texture of them too
Hamburger and a hotdog too..... I want to have a bbq
All I can eat is this, because if I consume:
>Oats (quick-cook rolled oats, rolled oats, etc)
>Any bread (it is all shit-tier I know)
>Green split peas
>Red potatoes (or any potatoes)
>Pasta of any kind
I get severe constipation, bloating, and pretty much lose my mind (really bad). It also puts me to sleep and I have tried to figure out what is wrong with me, but nobody can help me. It is terrible and is ruining my life. Do any of you know what this is? Thanks if you can help.
hmm i think celiac. i have crohns disease and hte stuff in his picture looks like it would exacerbate symptoms. for me all the stuff he listed is what i prefer like rice, chicken, pasta, etc. processed food, fried food, raw vegetables/fruits, anything with seeds is what messes my stomach up.
>want to cook something nice
>there's people in the kitchen
>I don't like to cook when there's people in the kitchn
>give up on the idea
>tfw fell for the meme of sharing rent
Share an aparment, they said. It will be fun, they said.
Fuck this shit. I'll find a new place by the end of this month, even if I have to live under a bridge (As long as there are no other homeless people). I had enough of this. At least a robot should feel comfortable in his own house.
Straight from the robot's cook book. I added a diced hotpepper to it for extra zest.
Funny thing about getti is the flavor is all in the sauce and it tastes just like any expensive, fancier italian food. Pizza, Lasagna..you name it. And it takes 10 minutes to make.
Some plain rice soaked in this fish + its marinade
This poorfag feast has saved me from starvation too many times.
10 minutes. All you have to do is buy grated parmesan cheese, some fancy Newmans' Own spagetti sauce or "pasta sauce" if you want to be pretentious. And then spaghetti. When you mix those three ingredients it tastes just like any other Italian food.
It's as cheap as Ramen Noodles for people on a budget.
I imagine the noodles in the picture taste like instant noodles - crap. Anyway, doesn't matter. My apologies anons, I didn't know you were talking about a brand name. Real ramen looks different and tastes good.
He's talking about the differences between instant noodles and prepared Ramen. So he's right just being elitist about it. Generally brand named ramen has more preservatives so you can keep it for all eternity and some brands have the flavor infused directly into the noodles.
Real ramen involves a lot more effort and does taste better but he's too busy being an lolxd to explain that to you.
I really like this documentary if you like Ramen as much as I do.
Yes of course. None of the instant kinds include the toppings or pig bones like real ramen could. If you ever have the opportunity to eat real ramen, you take it immediately. I was serious about that documentary, it's very informative about how to make ramen and the different types of Ramen.
>dinner was just a couple of sausages and a huge pile of mashed potatoes
>every meal my parents cook is some sort of meat and then a pile of usually boiled vegetables
i'm going to fucking flip
i just about bust a nut when i taste something that i've ordered from a takeout place because there's so much flavor
>takeout place because there's so much flavor
That is not real at all. What you really like is MSG and fake additives. Those are terrible ingredients making your body thinks it wants, them, but in reality you do not. It is like nicotine in cigarettes pretty much.
Learn to cook, use real spices, etc, and you will be a lot happier with food, anon.
Most nights I have a peanut butter sandwich and a carrot. Sometimes I'll have the sandwich, a piece of toast and a mug of milk though because the loaf goes stale before I finish it otherwise.
I have a banana and a coffee for breakfast and a more substantial lunch of chicken and veg or rice and veg. Two snacks in the day, an apple or orange and chocolate with a cup of tea.
This is my design, I am the master of my domain.
