my parents were told that I had a 70 iq at age 4 and were even recommended a "special" school where alot of the kids walked around with helmets. Through years of speech therapy I finally was able to communicate and develop social skills. I improved but I still don't think I'm very smart. Got a 700 on my math SAT, a bachelors degree, and a full time job with benefits so at least I am not completely incompetent
