Should I buy a monitor, headphones, HHKB, or a GPU?
You're staring at a monitor right now. Gaming, surfing, creeping, whatever, you'll be staring at a monitor 6+ hours a day. Get a new monitor.

disagree; if hes the type of person who has to ask this question likely he wont really be able to tell the difference between varying monitors.
something that will make a more noticible difference in all of his computer related functions would of course be a graphics processing unifier (gpu); regardless of the monitor he has - a better gpu will make it look better.

I currently am using integrated graphics, a 15" LCD from 2005, a membrane keyboard, and $40 headphones(HD668B)

just buy some cheap headphones and keyboard on monoprice then spend big for the GPU unless your CPU also sucks
>>26196542
I already have a cheap keyboard and headphones, anon.
If you don't play too much vidya, go buy yourself a nice ips panel monitor.
>>26196758
I can only buy it from Best Buy. I don't know what is good.

TN panel is the cheaper older, run of the mill panel, they aren't bad, and the "gaming monitors" can reach 144hz refresh rate for a reasonable price, but of course, that is for CSGO players, or for people with decent GPU's. IPS has a higher price point, but the color reproduction is much better and more accurate, but for a good price have the standard 60hz refresh rate, which is perfectly fine. Anyway, you can probably get anything above 22 inches and be good.

Just don't get tricked into buying Nvidia

entire post disregarded

yeah you should definitely go for a graphics card given your setup...
there is one ... variable that would make me disrecommend getting a gpu... but firstly:
what are the other specs for your computer currently as well as your budget?
>>26197024
i7-4790K
Noctua D15
2x8GB DDR3 1600
650W EVGA SuperNOVA gold rated
Asus Z97-A/USB3.1
850 PRO SSD
Fractal Design Define R5
You can now understand why I am concerned with my 15" 1280x800 LCD and $10, 5 year old keyboard/mouse.
I have $300($284 in reality because of tax) on a Best Buy gift card, and I have $233 on my debit card... or at least that's the most I'd like to spend. I have like $1100 in reality just on my debit card.
>>26197080
at the very least i would cross off keyboards/mouse/headset off the wishlist ... my philosophy regarding those types of peripherals is not to replace them until they break.
well... with regards to your system i am tweaking my answer slightly: i dont think you can go wrong with either a gpu or monitor.
... to help you quantify your decision: would you prefer more "screen space" or "slightly higher fidelity" graphics.
>>26197080
put that 233 into an HHKB because you will literally never buy another keyboard in your life. put that 300 on your gift card into a new mouse and the best monitor you can afford. anyone that says something else is a fucking faggot IRL

Enjoy your planned obsolescence when Pascal comes out in a few months, cuck
>>26197254
OP here... This is why I haven't bought a GPU yet.
>>26197254
nice meme anon grate job
HHKB for sure
>>26197213
>>26198471
these. HHKB is god-tier and 15" monitor wtf OP you can use that best buy card to get something way better like a 1080p IPS for only like $100. Don't bother with headphones. the sound quality doesn't improve after like $50, it's mostly the build quality and comfort.
>>26197080
>integrated graphics
>$200 keyboard
anon why not a buy cheap IPS monitor
and low/mid-range GPU like a 380X or a 290
>>26195757
Why the fuck do people buy happy hacking keyboards? do you people not use the Super key ever?
