Got diagnosis for Avoidant in 2012 but I think I'm just assburgers instead. Or might be Schizoid, I truly haven't a fucking clue anymore.

Personality 'disorders' are definitely a thing, but they shouldn't be classified as such. They are made up of various personality traits that are brought on from early environmental factors.

I'm a lying, manipulative piece of shit but most people see me as someone of strong moral character, girls have called me a moralfag before because that's how I want to present myself. I'm also highly judgmental but dissipate it through "can't tell if he's joking" type snarky remarks. I do things for others and can generally be depended on. I'm in the military.
I also catastrophize and feel like my life is falling apart. All this and I'm usually absent minded over it. Meds do nothing. I'm just an empty person.

I got a letter saying I was most probably schizoid 4 days ago. Waiting on an appointment now, but from what I can see, my opotions are light medication or therapy.

Autism and schizophrenia actually share a lot in common. I think some people theorize they have a similar genetic cause. Many schizophrenics are diagnosed with autism at first, then they start showing psychotic symptoms. I've been basically autistic since I was a kid.

Certain types of schizophrenia do share a lot with autism and are often misdiagnosed as autism because they are pretty rare. Disorganized schizophrenia comes to mind, especially in the extremely rare cases where it's early onset. They are emotionally detached to the point of catatonia and shit at verbalization, word salad is very common. They are also often unable to do certain tasks for whatever reason. I know of one patient who was able to start bathing on his own, bathe properly, but not able to stop. In most cases however, shit like personal hygiene and dressing yourself is completely neglected. They also sometimes have autism-like outbursts. Hallucinations and delusions are common, but they aren't necessary for the diagnosis and certainly aren't the primary symptoms.

At this point you're probably asking, "what the fuck is the difference". 'Tism first rears it's head in infancy, before the age of two. With childhood schizophrenia you have a happy, normal child who gradually goes to shit as the time goes on.

What matters is the incompatibility with the masses; if you don't mix and match well with others, it may be considered a personality disorder if said masses will forever be unable to logically interpret why said behavior shows.
