I too went out drinking 2 days ago with some buddies at the local comfy bar, had way too many beers and shots and drank everything way too fast which resulted in me being hungover as fuck the morning after and basically throwing up all day and laying sick in my bed watching youtube videos

nonetheless comfy as fuck weekend

Annual week of solid drinking is coming up at my uni soon. I rarely go out socializing, but since it's my last semester there, I'm planning on getting absolutely shitfaced this year. Luckily have a few friends in my class who are planning on doing the same.

I'm in the same boat for the most part, but I don't do drugs or anything, so alcohol is my only way of getting fucked up. Irish society being pretty okay with alcoholism in general makes it all the easier.

I've been drinking all weekend

>friend and I drink 70cl of vodka mixed with lemonade behind the bushes at a shopping centre
>go into town and buy more alcohol and drink until about 8
>go to see the hateful eight, fall asleep in each other's arms at the cinema
>12:30 when it finishes, friend goes home
>drunkenly wander around town for a couple of hours
>go to a club on my own
>spend 50 quid on admission and drinks and watch girls from the corner while browsing /pol/ on my phone
>closes at 5
>drunkenly wander around town again until the first train back to my hometown at 8AM
>get home by about 9 and sleep till 1PM
>wake up and drink some more

Friday is the least popular drinking day at all unis where I come from. Has a lot to do with the fact that most students go back home at the weekend. Tuesday and Thursday are the main drinking nights.

eh only some do that. I hang out with my asian bro on Friday's, there is usually always a decent number of people doing something everyday just down to the sheer number of people. Tuesday is a big drinking night for normies going to the crappy bar/clubs. I usually don't even go to bars they all suck.

Whats your most comfy drink? For me it's wine since I can feel the effects quickly and it's cheap. I'm on beer right now move to wine later. Beer is comfy too but it takes a long time to get drunk off.

I haven't been out at night in the city in years. I mainly drink in the houses of my friends or in one of my local pubs.

But yeah, it's very common for students from Irish universities to go home at the weekend since most are only an hour or two from their homeplace.

I find cider gives me the shits. Whereas I got drunk two nights running (now my third) on beer, wine, and some vodka and I haven't had that problem. It may be cos I sleep off my hangovers and have 2-3 hour long baths though. Makes it way more comfy.

Orchard Thieves may only be 4.5%, but that's why it's my comfy drink. It will get you drink, but not at such a rate that you don't get to enjoy the drink itself.

drank a six of busch light, a six of PBR pounders, and a couple of vodka shots last night/this morning.

I was diagnosed an alcoholic by a professional psychiatrist for drinking every day, even though I only drank a 2 beers in the evening back then. Now I drink a six pack a night whenever I can.

We're both alkies. I'm seeking help and you should too. Get away from this shitty poisonous drug.

French red wine is pretty comfy. Cote du Rhones, and claret is reliable as long as you get the one that is slighly more expensive then the cheapest. Beajoulais can be good but it's usually to thin. Bordeux is usually decent too. I find you can get a lot of decent french red wine for cheap if you stick with these.

eh, i'm comfortable with it at this point - my drinking is affecting my life that much. it's just making things more bearable. i've been out of therapy/off meds since late 2013 but as a condition of staying at home again i need to seek help for other problems.

i've two or three old friends from college but they're across the country nowadays. can't help drinking whenever i feel like it, especially when it's bought for me or i have the money anyway. it's pretty much the only comfort i got, i'm sure a lot of people in this thread can relate to that

I lift 3-5 times a week that's my main 'comfort'. Helps me feel more secure and lose weight. Ironic that my other comfort is so unhealthy i.e. drinking.
