If the world was at complete peace and there was no such thing as disease and illness, rape or murder people would have gotten used to it and this perfect life style with no worries or sorrows would be the norm. Then one day someone were to stub his toe and the whole world would be in shock yelling "IF GOD EXISTED HOW COULD HE LET THIS HAPPEN?"

Similarly, if we lived in a world of pure anarchy and treachery where it's unheard of to not have at least three crippling diseases and disorders and only living to 20 years old was normal and rape and murder happened constantly then you'd be born into a world which to use seemes like hell, but to everyone else in that world is just an everyday thing. God could just create a perfect world with no hardships, and no sin, and humans who are made to love Him. But then He wouldn't know if people truly loved Him in earnest, or if they were just doing it because He made them that way.

So instead He gives us trials of many hardships, deformity and disease, tempts us with sin and gives us free will to choose sin or righteousness. The point is to validate that you really are making a conscious choice to love Him, even despite those hard things. So He knows your love is real.

It's like dogs. If you have a dog, how do you know if the dog truly loves you, or only is acting like it loves you because you feed it? The only way to know for sure is to not feed it anymore.
