Who else /cold-showers/ here?
So painful and so good
>boosts your test and immunity
Muh uncited bennies
Yeah that would work if there was any proven point to cold showers to begin with. I saw another thread a few days ago where russians jumped into icy water for health reasons but where's the prove as to why it's healthy.
I always do a bit warmer than body temperature for 5 min then the coldest possible on my mild gyno, which seems to have worked pretty well. It has since then shrunken a bit.
That actually sounds really convenient for the washing hair in a rush or for just having long hair. Might go on doing that myself now, especially since I have a huge sink. Do you submerge, or use a chair and lean back?
There is no point in them. Take them if you like them, but it has no biological benefit.
They're actually worse. Very cold water is bad for your skin, as is hot. To wash your face you should use tepid water with a little bit of soap.
Explain that to these people who play polar bear for the sake of health.
I did for a while, because my Doctor recommended it (I was complaining about an extremely itchy and dry nose).
Turns out nothing got better. I just use a Cortison spray now and all is good.
What observable health benefits have they gotten though? What super powers? None. People who think cold water gives them magical health benefits are on the same level as people who believe in homeopathy.
They cite their sources.
The Europeans who claim it's a health aid didn't really seem able to explain the mechanics of it.
