>>26076346 Dude woman can't even have hobbies period. They are incapable of enjoying art and music. I remember a couple female friends of mine put up a Bob Marley poster we asked them there favorite song and they couldn't name one. He's fucking Bob Marley any shit head 16 year old stoner can name no woman no cry or some other shitty song but you cant and your putting up a goddamn posts of him. It was infuriating
I have almost never met a woman who didn't have shit taste. Even the ones that liked one or two things that were actually worth liking still make me second guess their shit when they admit to liking pure trash.
There are exceptions to the rule though, but they are few and far between.
>>26076599 i've never seen any woman with a collection of anything, at all they keep "collections" of pebbles or seashells they found from a single trip to the beach, or quirky items to up their appeal like pins or fridge magnets, and even then those collections never breach 20 individual items
and as for crafts, i've seen dudes assemble and paint gundam models, or model cars, even origami but the most i've seen a woman make was a shittily sewn scarf and some macaroni art (and sewing isn't hard i made a bunch of fleece hats with little effort)
>>26076664 very literally had a bitch yelling about how she was a "basic bitch" and being proud of it i was astonished
>>26076664 >>26076599 No. No they can't. An old "girlfriend" of mine from high school she turned out to be a manipulative cunt who used me, a complete loser, to get back at her ex-bf, L, was super into Decoden and nail art. She sells her shitty decoden iphone cases at about 300% its actual worth on etsy, and works at a nail salon. To her: these hobbies weren't anything more than a means to an end: she forced herself to become good at these things so as to improve her monetary standing. Another friend of mine, M also a cunt, used me because I was two years older than her and wanted me to buy her cigarettes and blunt wraps, is really into guitar and piano. She's actually fairly competent at playing, by white girl standards, but uses these talents merely to seem "deep," she's openly acknowledged that she fails to see any practical purpose or enjoyment in doing so, and plays only to increase her social standing.
I am into tobacco blending and collecting old books. Both of these things are utterly useless skills, and professing that I enjoy both of these things would serve to lower my social standing. Both of these girls have asked me why I'm into such stupid shit, and my only response is that they make me happy. I know that they're obscure, and I know that they're pointless. I just fucking like them for some inexplicable reason. That: "I just like it for some reason," or "It's challenging" are two things that do not drive women to anything but Chad's cock.
women are incapable of doing thing alone they only do things that will show them in better light for chad they cant even comprehend why a man would want to do something alone that is pointless like building model airplanes or shit like that they are fucking vain
>>26076776 >i've never seen any woman with a collection of anything, at all
I used to have over 3000 images of Robert Sean Leonard and other House-related stuff that I used to shitpost on /tv/ back in 2007, I would watch every movie that had RSL in it and make screencaps pretty much just for shitposting with. I would spend hours digging up hard to find content involving that guy and making screencaps. That's only one example, I have done that with alot of things.
Pic is the current collection I am working on. It's quite small because as I have gotten older I have gotten busier (wageslave) and don't have hours to spend amassing folders of images like I used to.
I don't collect things much IRL because I have had to move alot.
>>26077019 Haha, RSL isn't chad. Really, what I as collecting pictures of were him as a child actor, and making idiotic edgy posts about him being a shota. He was in a movie with the guy that plays Odo in DS9 when he was a teenager so there was a whole story I made up about Odo being his weird rapey dad figure...There was also a girl who posted on /tv/ that had a collection of Perfect Strangers images and we would do homoerotic RPs with Shota RSL and Balki...Anyway, it's not important, just the stupid shit I did when I was 17.
>>26077026 I'm saying I collect things in quantities that exceed 20 items
>>26077060 Well, like I said, I had to move alot. Collecting things physically takes money and space. I did used to have a breddy good collection of books from the 1800s, and I taught myself some book repair/book binding techniques and used to put books together when I was bored, I would go around to libraries taking papers out of the trash by the copy machines and fold up all the papers really neatly, sew them together into little booklets, and use materials to make spines and covers for the books. I even repaired some paperback for a friend of mine. And I used to make weird shit from books, I would blacken out a bunch of words to turn the story into something else, and add in my own illustrations to make bizarre nightmarish shit. I didn't do that to show to anybody or give to anybody, just did it for myself. You might think it's stupid but I would say it counts as a hobby.
Does anyone else get annoyed when women intentionally throw themselves into danger just because said person/group fit the small good qualities she likes? Like the whole Christy Mack incident. You would think, at some point in the 21st century, it wouldn't be frustrating to tell them "hey don't do X because Y" and have them listen to it.
>>26077395 Stop and think, WHY do they draw? Social standing? Profit? I can almost guarantee you that it's not a result of appreciation of art. There were tons of female string players, but almost no female composers of say, chamber music.
>>26077438 >>26077417 Being an artist isn't much of an attention whore hobby, nothing like playing guitar, and if anything there's a glut of talented artists online, at least relative to demand, so it's not that profitable either. >There were tons of female string players, but almost no female composers of say, chamber music. It's just unlikely for women to take head of the pack in most things, I don't see this as precluding them from partaking in a talent that doesn't bring them much attention or money.
>>26076890 >>Literature >>Cars >>Sport >>Collecting Those are nice ways of saying I can read and drive, I spend my nights yelling in front of the TV screen and I just spent $300 on a plastic toy of mai waifu.
>>26077438 I draw because I like it. Pls kill yourself
>>26076983 Woooow, it's fucking nothing. I have a folder full of Ellen Page pictures on my hard drive that I've been collecting for years; to call me a collector would be a fucking joke and an insult to the people who are actually serious about it.
>>26077514 Why do you like to draw? That is the question.. Anything worth shit in the art world was done by men. Women cant express the absract thoughts like men can. You probly draw to show people and draw attention to yourself
>>26077654 What, just because I'm not good means it's not a hobby? I don't see you complain about >>26076866 and >>26076776 and any other robot who has ever dared to talk about their shit-tier hobbies. Please, make the arbitrary line of double standards you drew between men and women even more blatant.
What is the dating equivalent for women? Like what do women do specifically that entertain the relationship to go further?
So far I can't think of any. Men initiate dates, decisions, hospitality and *if* it's good enough, proposal for marriage. Anything else like trust, taking care of each other or even couples activities are or should be a thing both people should do.
And why do women care so much about being in a relationship if they don't put in the work to make it last?
>>26077438 >>26077514 most girls in grade school are encouraged to draw because they develop more during those years in motor skills and from positive reinforcement from the teachers then they glide through on that for the next 20 years while they make deviantart tier shit and have people tell them it's great because they have a vagina
I'm gonna be different and not say women can't have hobbies, but the hobbies they do have are severely limited and they will never be very good at them because they constantly have people telling them how great they are because of their pussy pass
>>26077738 women "do" approach in their minds they believe giving small hints to the guy and then putting it on him to make the decisions and face the blame is being forward
I have actually talked to women who think this, and have told me that I'm oblivious because "they were being so forward" when in reality, they just act slightly nicer or wear slightly more makeup around you or some shit
>>26077774 Well what would be the problem of just plainly telling a man "hey I find you attractive, want to hang out?" I can't really see this going bad in any way except the guy is a total asshole; which she shouldn't be hanging out with anyway.
I'm 90% sure a decent looking girl telling a guy she finds him attractive is going to turn out great.
>>26077822 the problem is that then the woman has to put her ego and self-esteem on the line to get what she wants which is hard which is why they don't ever do it because really, if you have a steady stream of romantic offers, no matter how bad they may seem you can just fall back on it why would you then put everything on the line for something to possibly blow up in your face? they can't handle what it means to be a man, women for real cannot physically handle rejection or even half the things they put men through they would honestly commit suicide if they had to endure hundreds of rejections just to find one relationship instead of sifting through hundreds of offers
>>26077732 Im not particularly good at anything, but i realize that, shit if i was i probably wouldnt be here.
I do however know the difference between good shit and bad shit. The only reason ive developed those abilities was to attract a mate. The only reason artists, inventors, mathematicians honed their skills was to do the same, weather it was conscious or uncious.
Women to get mates dont need to do any of that shit. They just gotta look decent. Thats why they dont develope ideas and concepts like men do. I didnt make the rules i just see em
>>26077956 Well that's.....depressing. And selfish.
I've talked with other guys about dating. I've listened to some vids about seeing other guys looking for a dating partner. I have nothing but respect and love for the people who are willing to put themselves on the line to be considered worthy of someones intimacy. I don't understand how women are okay with letting their ego get the better of them and choosing to do nothing worth-while to find someone they are interested in that isn't the golden ticket to life. There's no respect from doing so.
>>26077725 I can just imagine how fucking awkward and creepy he is though. I don't think it's necessarily that he was ugly, even though that obviously wouldn't have helped. But from the story I can gather that his behaviour was less than endearing.
How exactly can a board filled with people who claim to have basically no social contact for years at a time say with utmost certainty what others are doing? How would you know? Is this part of the joke? Is this an ongoing joke I'm just not a part of?
>inb4 story from 4chan/twitter/facebook/tumblr/reddit with absolutely no proof or little proof that is probably made up about how Chad or Stacy are terrible people and how this HOO-AH cheated on Dan with over SEVENTEEN African Titanus Dickus Maximus >inb4 statistics brought to you by some retard with almost 0 credibility and refusal to show whether or not he handpicked or modified his evidence >inb4 even more generalizations and baseless assumptions
Really, where the FUCK does everyone on /r9k/ get this shit from, most of you aren't over 20, and the ones that are claim to be KV shuti-ns that haven't seen daylight in decades. How do you suddenly have life figured out? How can you POSSIBLY think you are the first person to think that everyone is a lying cheating scumbag? How can an entire board have such a massive persecution complex?
Why the fuck do I even browse this board holy shit, I bet people will reply to this post with "GRRR GET OUT NORMIE" and AngryPepe.png because it's such an epic meme
When does [s4s] stop and /r9k/ begin? Is there even a line anymore?
>>26078490 Where did I say that? Don't strawman or put words in my mouth please.
To save a few extra post numbers what I'm saying is robots who claim to have these hobbies are the same people who call themselves "foodies". Sure they can be real hobbies, but the robots' own definitions of them definitely aren't.
What are you hobbies, by the way? Are you really in the place to be talking shit?
>>26078340 I write short stories and fanfiction, I've programmed some stuff, I've modded game systems to fuel my vidya playing (in the process of soldering an internal sd card slot on my PSPGO but I've been really lazy about it), I tried to pick up drawing but I'm not particularly good and dropped it after a month or two but I'm going to try picking it up again since I was making progress.
I've really wanted to get into amateur casting and I have some mechanical things drawn out I'd like to make, I've got some backyard casting and home foundry books and materials picked out for when I've got the money and space to do it.
>>26078440 >that wall Obviously everyone here hasn't had the same level of social experience. There was a thread earlier about some guy down as fuck from watching along came polly because his ex-wife fucked the scuba manager on their honeymoon. but a lot of this thread has been shitflinging, the 'grills have no hobbies' meme seems to always generate a ton of buzz.
Late to the party but the OP screenshot pisses me off so bad. I've never had kids but I've been a mom since I was 10. Fuck women not having responsibility. My parents got off scot free and I didn't. Fuck this fucking world. I'm not the only one.
>>26078606 You're not me. >>26078567 No, I'm just withdrawn and get lost in fantasy which leads me to jot down story ideas and fanfiction. >Impressive list. >>26078667 Please for fucks sakes. You probably got your list of components off of that tripfag called falcon or wherever and bought them off of newegg. Putting PC components is like playing with lego, except you only do it once. It's doesn't count as a fucking hobby. Should I also call playing around with different ROMs on my fucking phone a hobby? I think I might just have gained a shitton of hobbies!
For an example of something impressive there was an artist on /ic/ who neeted it up for like 3 years and became ridiculously fucking good and got a job as a digital painter. I think he does MTG cards or movie work, really fucking impressive.
>>26078489 Your the attention whore in this thread roastie most us robots are gonna kill ourselves at somepoint....and I was referring to this

This what this thread is about ultimately. How arcanin is right and women don't have any true hobbies or appreciation of higher arts
>>26078814 I'm not going to argue anymore seeing you're just going around in circles, but I'll let you in on a secret: getting a hobby isn't going to help you get a gf bud. You only need social skills for that.
>>26078885 >typical female mind can't grasp these concepts Damn, I can count on you to always to feel superior even over how much of a fucking failure you are. It's really not that hard to grasp the concept of a defeatist attitude and self fulfilling prophecy. It's just hard to sympathize since you brought this on yourself.

doesn't matter though, you're just an aussie shitposter that will no doubt move the goalposts more and pull some more reductio ad absurdum on whatever I say
>>26078204 Dude imagine entering a relationship with a girl who has had sex before. I know that's normal at 20a but I did that at 17 and couldn't get it out of my head. It didn't help she was super nerdy so it completely blindsided me. I feel bad but it's still a bit mixed. She had a rough life and so she turned to drugs for a while. She also wasn't that attractive and bullied so she thought that no one would ever love her so why not? She also sold nudes to some dude she met through starcraft though.
>>26079822 Hi roastie. Women are generally incapable of cognizing abstraction and so, in debate, the roastie mind immediately shunts, crudely, to subjectivity and shaming of motivations. Like cudgeling an animal who is misbehaving, this emotional abuse is the primary roastie weapon.
>>26077438 >There were tons of female string players, but almost no female composers of say, chamber music They didn't have the means to be composers, so it was very uncommon. During the 1900's there were some female composers like Nadia Boulanger, Lili Boulanger, Ethel Smyth. I know that Smyth had a very hard time convincing her father to go study music, that's probably part of the reason why she was such a passionate feminist. https://youtu.be/H5QqCD7Pp50
I'm not arguing, maybe y'all are making a good point but you dumb NEETs need to take things into perspective.
>>26083728 Fine, i'll try not to be cute: You're all coming at this from a very tribal perspective. You say most women don't have hobbies and most men do, as if that is gonna make you seem better in comparison. You're accepting the accomplishments of people who look like you as your own. This coupled with the fact that there are women who are renowned composers or PhD physicists, who are better than you in what they do than you are in what you do, is what makes you seem dumb. They can be women aswell as blacks, mexicans or gays. You may even meet people like this in real life, maybe then you'll understand.
Also it's funny how so many here don't even have any hobbies besides vidya and anime.
>>26084424 Well you laugh, but, theres a lot of money made from it. Even with indie low budget shit. Also I kind've threw that under the carpet as Programming and Art since thats where I tend to apply those skills too.
>>26086404 Hello, I'm somewhat normie and this post inspired me to comment something that's been on my mind for a while.
Robot friends, why do you insist on classifying people as normies and robots? Is that a meme, or do you really view world like that?
I mean, I've been on r9k for a year (yeah, I'm new, yeah..) and I still haven't figured out the definitive lines between your categories of robots, normies and cyborgs. Can't even place myself either.
What I'd like to know is, are you really not aware that normies aren't some homogenous group of people who share same traits? I mean, there are always some similarities between people, but normies seem like such a broad spectrum of people that I don't understand how you could put them all in the same basket.
So, if possible, could you guys be kind enough to share with me what exactly makes you a robot, and what makes normies normies? I know there will be trolling and shit, but I'm honestly interested.
>>26086723 what makes people robots is their absolute hopelessness in social and societal situations, manifesting itself in very few if any relationships and very few if any real friendships. They are the people who were knocked down and can't get back up because society is constantly walking over them and pushing them back into the dirt
actual normies are the people who had regular childhoods or experiences, who maybe had a couple troubles, but because of favorable conditions, were lifted out of their situations as opposed to the robots who are left to rot
>>26086723 "Normie" just refers to anyone who can handle the pressure of modern life without snapping the way robots have. If you can hold a good job, hold a conversation without sperging out, and maintain healthy relationships you are a normie.
In modern Western society, part of being integrated in society is participating in commercialism and capitalism. Whether you're a sports fan or a movie fan or whatever, you're buying into that system. Normies work for the corporations and pay back their paychecks to the corporations. Even the ones who realize this ugly and unfair cycle do nothing to stop it. Even though normies have a variety of interests, they are all a part of that machine and have a similar mindset.
>>26076983 >>26076776 I just remembered by reading these 2 posts, once I met a chick on a bar, and we made out at her place later. She had genuine interest in micro-bugs and stuff, and showed me some pictures of viruses and bugs and stuff later, not sure if she was genuinely sharing her passion with me or if she just wanted to repel me (which she did, kek)
>>26087810 Fuck, that's close to hope. I'm socially outgoing and trying to include people, making them feel important, and really listening to them, but there's something in me that can't into real relationships.
>>26083468 >thinking I like pussy when I'm all about the dick >"he doesn't hate women because of his lack of autistic experiences and interactions, must be a whiteknight" >anyone who isn't an angry kid about women is a whiteknight >you perspective is intelligent or thoughtful
>>26086723 It's not bipolar or balanced, like for example male/female. Robot refers to people who are social outcasts, people who can't find their place in society due to multiple reasons. The initial idea of robots is rather similar to autistic behaviour though, in the sense of robots being overly lacking in emotion/compassion and generally being overly analytical/critical of the world around them, making them not want to participate in this system called life. They consider themselves to be different and therefore 'silently protest' against society; they do not wish to be part of it. 'Normies' on the other hand are all the rest of people. All of the people who don't mind living their life following meaningless norms and rules that keep them into place (more often than not, without them realizing it). Now, obviously, today, we have many 'robots' who call themselves 'robots' simply because they are social outcasts, not wanted by the rest of humanity, even though, they would actually love to be part of it. But they can't due to their appearance, lack of confidence, or similar.
Nevertheless, there are far more 'normies' than there are 'robots', which doesn't mean that every normie is the same. Technically, I can separate mankind into 3 categories; male, female and everything in between, but this does not imply that these categories are homogeneous, meaning that, for example, every male is the exact same. In the same way, I can make two groups, normies and robots.
Now, as for the criteria, basically, robots know they're robots and nobody really has to tell them they are. Robots don't search for validation from others as they are fully aware of the situation they are in and with that being said, /r9k/ is full of normies who desire to be part of a group, socialize, and therefore try to 'become' robots on /r9k/ because that is all they're doing in their reallife as well. That's a characteristic of normies, the desire to be a part of a social group.
>>26077687 >>26077020 tfw 100% avpd symptoms tfw talk to people on the internet with only 50-60% tfw pretend to be just as normie as them tfw my whole self concept is based on being slightly a normie because i won't let anyone know about how little external sensory experience i actually have because pity makes me uncomfortable
