What are some things from your robot childhood that got completely ruined overtime? For me it's cartoons.
And you haven't forgotten he has a baby and a dog now right?
They should really just end FOP.. and Spongebob..
Why do companies love to milk the shit out of franchises until people absolutely hate them? They should end gracefully before they turn to shit..
>implying the 90s and early 00s werent the best times for cartoons.
And I'm not even saying this because
>everything was better when you were 12
It's actually true.. the 60s, 70s and 80s had shit cartoons. The 90s were great for the most part, the early 00s were great. But I feel during the late 00s they all went to shit.
The only cartoons I still like from now are Regular Show and (sometimes) Adventure Time.
The only contenders for greatest decade for cartoons other than 90s and early 00s was whenever the original Looney Tunes and Tom&Jerry came out. Was it the 50s? Can''t remember.. they were both god-tier shows.
Anyone else get really annoyed when watching this? Even as a kid I realized just how easily solvable almost all of his problems are when you can wish for almost anything
It's shitty flash animation with none of the original writers, humor centers around Spongebob being flamboyantly gay, Patrick being retarded, and Happy Tree Friends level shock humor and gore
>humor centers around Spongebob being flamboyantly gay
CAN YOU FEEL IT NOW, MR KRABS?
What? I thought the show ended with the episode where Timmy grows up and his kids get the fairies as well as them being baby sitter by robo Vikki. Also why is it that evey single cartoons quality of drawing gets better with every season yet the animation becomes complete shit?
What the fuck is this real?
This looks like Poochie from the Simpsons.
Mid to late 2000's was actually kind of a crappy time for cartoons. They have come back quite a bit since then.
The mid 2000's is when they started pushing all of that live-action shit, so overall there weren't a lot of good cartoons produced then.
>billy and mandy
>courage (close enough)
>hi hi puffy ami yumi
>whats new scooby doo
Though I'd but it this way:
>What the FUCK happened?!
Not gonna mention the rest of the decades because I'm not too knowledgeable, but I do know the 80s is shit.
To be fair, there are some pretty damn good cartoons out right now - but they're targeted at adults. Shows like Adventure Time, Archer, Steven Universe, Futurama, Bob's Burgers - these are damn good shows that people seem to take for granted because they're not specifically aimed at little kids anymore. But the great thing about most of these shows (maybe excluding Archer) is that they're still quite accessible to many different audiences, which is part of what makes them so enjoyable. You have to be a good writer to write for so many different demographics. In essence, I think they're picking up where the Simpsons left off.
I know how /r9k/ likely feels about Steven Universe but you have to give it credit for having a mythos/backstory and having enough faith in its viewers to follow bread-crumbs and put things together without just doing a straight exposition dump.
CN went to shit when they put that fat white guy and black girl as the hosts for CCF. When the logo went from "Cartoon Network" to "CN".
They were great and there was a lot to enjoy. What preceded it was poorly animated slapstick gross-out 90s cartoons and what followed was barely any cartoons at all and the ones we do have have meme computer animation and tumblr tier plots
Idk, but to me they're shit. Archer is pretty good and Futurama has been out forever so I count that as old shit, but AT is retarded, SU just makes me irrationally angry and Bob's Burgers is better than a handful of sleeping pills after the first 5 minutes.
>What are some things from your robot childhood that got completely ruined overtime?
YTV. It was basically Canada's version of Nickelodeon. It used to have all kinds of great cartoons and anime, and now it basically just airs tween sitcoms, Spongebob and FOP.
>YTV from 1998-2003
I feel like such an oldfag because I don't recognize any of these shows except for Invader Zim (when I was 13 I was friends with one of those *holds up spork* dooooooooooom type of people)
gone too soon, soon too soon
>be a 14 year old me
>Friday night, I stay in, no interest in doing things with family or friends.
>Parents out of the house because they have lives'n'shit
>CCF intro starts on TV
>Aw shit nigga, bring it on!
>GET YOUR OWN!
>LEAVE ME ALONE!
Gotta be honest I laughed at this. I could imagine him REEEEEing at the thought of sharing his fairies with the roastie.
For real though the girl is probably a better addition than the baby or the dog. but I haven't seen the show in years.
the comment section gave me some hope, and the poster's description
They have to keep the show fresh for the toner viewers. Do you honestly think they care about the opinion of autistic manchildren? If they want to add a loli to the spa it's okay with me. It's not like I watch fairly odd patents anymore. I watch grown up cartoons for intellectually like rock and morty
Wasn't Invader Zim really expensive to make or something? That and it didn't really appeal to the toy-buying demographic, although if they waited a few years they could've taken the Hot Topic demographic hook, line and sinker like Adventure time did.
Steven Universe gains a plotline about halfway into Season 2, and actually has one of the more fleshed out and interesting universes of any fantasy/fiction TV show I've seen lately. I think they realized very early on that they had an older audience, and capitalized on that.
As for Adventure Time, it's targeted toward adults and children alike. It really reminds me of playing D&D in the creativity and endlessness of its universe.
Those two shows are my two favorites, so I'm glad you brought them up.
It was an odd show. It was one of those cult classic/love it or hate it kind of thing. It had a darker tone that was not a good fit for the channel, and it's probably why people didn't like it overall.
Fridays were always special when I grew up.
Toonami had movies on fridays and then CCF right afterwards with like 3 hours of all new episodes of shows back-to-back.
Last time I checked, CN had nothing special on friday nights anymore. Just reruns of Teen Titans Go! as usual.
I think it's a smart show with a well-constructed universe and some good animation/music.
I do not consider myself a member of the "fanbase" as I don't participate in it outside of watching it.
It's just got a good plotline and universe, dog
It's like shit what would the world be like if an alien species invaded and then decided later on we were intelligent life after all and then had a racewar about it
that's some shit /pol/ would write about
>you will never again arrive home after school with a new episode of Chowder waiting for you on cartoon network
I would think steven universe would be cool at first glance, but when I tried watching it
>bu-but x aren't supposed to be with y
>lets fight against forbidden love
>main characters are 90% women and a fat guy
this is nothing but pure unadulterated 100% SJW bullshit
I sincerely don't understand why the gender/weight of a central character affects your enjoyment of a series. The Gems genders have no affect on the plot. It'd be exactly the fucking same if Pearl was a dude and Steven was svelte.
Only retards watch television pick up a fucking book
Sounds aight until you watch it and realize it's designed for children. It's not even like adventure time where all the potheads liked the trippy visuals to just overall unappealing. All the characters are ugly and the color pallet looks super faded for some odd reason...
Basically it's mlp for autistic girls and gays
Danny Phantom was the only good show to come out of Butch and didn't completely fuck it up.
The only thing that show did well was
heightening my already existent Oedipus complex
Is Dan vs the cartoon for robots?
I seriously enjoyed all of it and would say it's one of my favorite cartoons
> implying the show hasn't been shit for years
Both it and spongebob are basically being held together by duct tape and chewing gum. I haven't watched much of them but it's probably safe to assume it's been shit ever since they had a movie where they tried to end the stupid series.
am I missing something?? is this all just some sort of elaborate troll?? im 22 and literally all this cartoons came out during my teenage years, when everyone was jumping over to adultswim/mtv. is everyone here literally underage, or did you guys seriously watch this shit through your teenage years
Where were you when nostalgia threads on /r9k/ shifted from the 80's to the 2000's?
It feels like the final nail to th coffin to the world I have lways wanted to live in
>see baby from thumbnail
>not watching cartoons until 20
the only reason I stopped was because I stopped watching TV altogether
Now I watch some cartoons online and don't know what's new
The cartoons mentioned in this thread span the course of 10+ years and many people here are ~30yo.
Sorry everyone here wasn't as edgy as you watching adult swim and the skank music channel while in diapers.
>I remember playing outside after school until 5pm and watching Toonami everyday.
>Every guy at school admits to watching Sailor Moon which aired before DBZ
>Shit made my fucking day.
>Toonami midnight run was also really cool.
>but then I started realizing that it was getting pushed back further and further. Then it just kinda stopped.
>I remember sitting downstairs watching Friday night cartoons with my brother
>Staying up late with my brother to watch anime on AS
>Yu Gi Oh cards, Dual Masters, Pokemon Cards, Beyblades
Where did all the fucking time go? Me and my brother have grown further apart but we still talk about all those good memories.
What the fuck happened to YTV? What happened to kid shows being mostly cartoons?
Yo. I never got to watch Danny Phantom, but thia bitch is SO dope. SO dope. I saw an image of her on /co/ and went, holy shit, and I watched the episode she appeared in and it was amazing. It's just hella satisfying.
>tfw Fairly OddParents is still around
These kids today have to piggyback on my generations media, good for nothing's
t. A fed up hardworking 19 year old man
Wanted to watch this so bad as a kid but the time just never worked out, I think. It was also a later show, so it wasn't like cartoons were my life at that point still, either. I just really wanted to watch the show, man....
I think it aired at 3:30, which was when my school day ended.... I think I only ever caught a few minutes of an end of an episode once.
oh god, my childhood.
I was there went it all went downhill.
>Be Fairly OddParents CEO
>Get to meeting
>Less people watching your shows
>Nick gets on your ass
>Running out of ideas
>SJW forces a woman in the show for "equality"
>CEO's so desperate that it causes him to lose his mind and become a massive cvck
It was more of a Parody than a cartoon trying to teach us a lesson(unlike todays SJW bullshit)...
Depicting a Classic American body builder, the humor was tasteful and spot on, I loved those catchphrases.
>mfw realizing that there are people so fucking young on this board and website that they consider this hunk of compete garbage show a part of their childhood
not talking about the link OP posted, but the show itself from what I saw of it years ago
>we will never see a non-retarded history channel again
I fucking hate tv.
It's different and therefore it's RUINED
They weren't going to originally. Both original finales were shit and the creator had to be talked out of it.
First Ending: It was all a nostalgia trip by an elderly Eddy.
Second Ending: It was going to end with Jimmy beating up Edd for just for being a good person.
Thank god they came out with the movie and had some decent closure.
western cartoons are fucking shit
anime just gets better over time
I honestly thought that pawn stars was a neat show when it first started out. I have fond memories of watching the early seasons on ninja video, but I didn't pay much attention to it after that
lmao, then have fun crying about how your cartoons have gone to shit while I can just sit back and have fun watching anime
Surprised it's still running
I have a hard time watching most western stuff now
don't watch it now, the first few seasons were OK but then it just turned into a reality show, wish I was joking, it has like 3 spinoffs or something now which is retarded
After watching anime and being a huge weeb for five years and eventually breaking out of it. I can safely say that there are only a handful of titles that personally resonated with me. Everything else is trash.
Good think they have the KND and Samurai Jack reboots coming, right?
Why didn't they make an invader zim reboot? (Yes I know they just released a comic...) Theh could earn some serious nostalgia bucks, just like how the new Star Wars reboot grossed over a billion in the first few weeks.
Nah, right here familiopai
Apparently the plot is that the KND is secretly run by the Galactic KND, who want to destroy all adults.
Oh yeah, they got all of the original voice actors too.
>the director said "it was like producing a fanfiction of my own show"
>fansubbing is dead
>rushed LN adaptations are taking over
>CG is becoming more and more popular
>literally nobody except KyoAni has any money
>2020 Olympics right around the corner
Anime is fucked, anon
I'm not denying that anime is for manchildren too.
All that matters is that I'm having more fun watching anime than you do watching your childhood fall apart.
Time for you all to move on.
>KND was shit
Everyone has their own opinion.
Also, why haven't they rebooted grim adventures? Seriously, if fucking teen titans go gets greenlit, how does the stuff people actually want to see not get greenlit?
>inb4 "but companies want to make money"
That's retarded, they'd made much more money than whatever filler they have (Jonny test, TTG, uncle grandpa, sonic boom, etc.)
You can't hold on to nostalgia forever anon.
It's ok, denial and anger are the first two stages of grief.
One day you will move on.
Execs don't actually have any understanding of what will make the most money, they just know what will do something more than break even. They will never pump a bunch of money into a reboot of an old show unless they KNOW it'll retain its old viewership, and that's assuming it had really high ratings to begin with.
>mfw I think Cartoon Network will be immune from this cancer because of the name but it fucking happened anyway
>Everyone has their own opinion.
tell me why that show was good i honestly could never get into it. not that it was bad but it was just mediocre.
>Also, why haven't they rebooted grim adventures
i'd like to know this too. I guess it's just too over the top for kids today. same with courage the cowardly dog.
just move on anon, anime is waiting for you
Not from my childhood really but my teenage years, Mobile Apps. Remember pocket god, doodle jump, original angry birds, pocket tanks?
Now everything seems to be the same animated 3d clash of clans social oriented shit.
We really need some kinda way to mind control the CN execs.
>ANON FINDS OUT THIS QUICK AND EASY METHOD TO QUADRUPLE YOUR RATINGS-REVIEWERS HATE HIM
OH SHIT. This was the absolute top-tier when I was a kid, I even had this Game Boy game about it that was ridiculously hard because Double D was pathetic and yet you had to get all 3 Eds to the end. I also had a PS2 game about it that I don't particularly remember anything about it other than the murky colors and slideshow cutscenes.
My nigga I've never agreed harder
Well I'm 19, but I laughed desu that seems shitty as fuck but the startup music makes me nostalgic and it wasnt nearly as social as it was in 2008
most of the apps i dont remember but i miss them
Iphone came out 9 years ago
I like the show but I don't like the agenda pushing they do. I can handle the whole same sex couple thing that is Garnet (one of the main characters), but it really pushes it in your face a lot. It begins to feel less like "this is normal, this is acceptable" and it starts to feel like "LOOK AT US, WE'RE PROGRESSIVE, CHECK OUT OUR SHOW, LOOK LGTBBQ PEOPLE, PLEASE SUPPORT US!"
I mean, hell, there was one episode that was dedicated to some mailman being a creepy fucker and the show basically sitting him down and saying "no no no, bad male, women do not like when you try to interact with them!"
Also, the whole "the leader of the Crystal Gems was a PROUD STRONG FAT INDEPENDANT WOMAN that only died because A MAN came around and swooned her!"
The dialogue is very sappy and cheesy most of the time, too. The songs, while nice, feel out of place most of the time.
A lot of things the show does just rub me the wrong way, and I'm sure a lot of that is because the fanbase is so god-awful. That being said, the show has an intriguing story, interesting and varied characters that are all flawed in one way or another (except Pearl, she's my waifu), the artstyle is generally vibrant and well done (the show suffers a lot with proportions on characters), and the pacing is most of the time very appropriate.
It's a good show. It's not season 4/5 of Adventure Time levels of good, but it definitely stands above most others
>tries to prove a point
>lists a bunch of shit tier cartoons
ho ho ho my sides
Korea was the worst offender. There was no build up, just the last minute le Korea is lez xD and tumblr ate it up I'm sure. If they had half a brain they'd realize they are being used for a cop out ending but what can you expect
seasons 1-3 were literally "LOL SO RANDUM HAHA"
Lemme guess, you still like Invader Zim?
if I'm remembering correctly, 4/5 had the episodes with the Lich getting the Enchiridion, and Finn wishing the Lich never existed. That shit was cool as fuck
>seasons 1-3 were literally "LOL SO RANDUM HAHA"
You're saying that as if that notion has completely disappeared from adventure time OR as if that didn't lead to some great episodes and was the entire reason the show became popular
>4/5 had the episodes with the Lich getting the Enchiridion
It also had episodes like
"dream of love"
>CN's brief love affair with live action shows in 2009
Seriously what the fuck was up with that? That has to be hands down the worst decision they ever made, right up there with cancelling Toonami and Miguzi.
>5 was the beginning of the end
>1-3 were best
Wtf? Who actually believes this? Seasons 6 and 7 have honestly been the best so far. Why are they "bad"?
Eh, I didn't take that much out of it. First of all, it isn't even "lesbian" because they're androgynous space rocks who coincidentally have "feminine" features. I thought that the whole story was that love and compassion trumps all, with the story behind the garnet fusion origin, etc.
Rose quarts wasn't fat, she was big on scale, and if you look when she is having Steven they give her a bigger belly because it's supposed to look like a pregnancy.
I thought the mailman thing was supposed to be a lesson about how not everyone's gonna love you back.
>rushed LN adaptations are taking over
Why don't they just translate Light Novels and bring them over? It'd be a bit more work than just subtitles but the market is larger by a huge margin, especially if translators manage to balance between a literal translation and one that does whatever it wants.
I'm just saying, I went back and watched Seasons 1-3 and while they do have some terrific episodes, there are episodes that make me uncomfortable. I like the animation of the newer episodes, and I liked the storylines of S4/S5 the most so far
all that being said I still like seasons 1-3
I can see how you wouldn't like an episode like Davey (I personally thought it was cute/quirky), and agree that Dream of Love ain't good, and Web Weirdos was whack
Season 6 fucking sucked though, almost every episode was awful. But S7 seems promising. Stakes (the 8 part movie) was wonderful
I can understand that to some extent. I felt it made the characters more human though, especially with episodes like Burning Low (if you've seen that one), or any episode that shows Jake trying to be a dad and he's just a complete fuckup
>Why don't they just translate Light Novels and bring them over?
So that nobody can buy them? Anime and manga sales are dismal in the west and you think people are going to buy LNs in droves?
Published LN translations are a thing, quite a few popular ones are available. Also fan translations of LNs are common too, but since a LN is a lot more wordy than manga is it relies a lot on the translators writing skills (which are almost always terrible)
>Seasons 6 and 7 have honestly been the best so far
Season 6 is unironically the worst season
This is the season where the writers gave up on trying to make a fun kids show and started trying all sorts of experimental emotional bullshit that ended up going absolutely nowhere
The season that introduces an ancient terror in the form of a penguin that is easily vanquished before the episode reveals that finn used to also be a cosmic being but is now a human, a plot that means so much of nothing that the comic disappears with the father that finn had been trying to find for over 4 seasons
And this is just on a personal note, but the season that recast Jake's brother's VA to be Greg from SU
the only good episode, truly amazing episode, this season was made by someone who had absolutely nothing to do with Adventure time
I feel you there. I like that it kinda skirts around the "will they won't they" thing with them. I don't want it to outright be stated, but if you watch episodes like Steven's Birthday it's pretty obvious the creators want them to be romantically involved. It was a good episode, just a little heavy-handed with the "Oh Steven, I want to grow old with you!" type stuff.
But I can totally understand/respect the viewpoint of not wanting the characters to have love interests or whatever. Sometimes you just want a show without all the complications of life
>tfw favorite show wasn't around long enough to be ruined.
At least they died with dignity.
Not the guy you responded to, just wondering about this:
>the only good episode, truly amazing episode, this season was made by someone who had absolutely nothing to do with Adventure time
What episode are you talking about? Are you talking about S7?
>DRAGON BALL & DRAGON BALL Z
>YU YU HAKUSHO
Does anyone remember watching this greatness back to back?
It's not even the weebness that's the problem. Most of the people who would read an LN already pirate the shit out of anime and manga. It's cheaper, easier, and faster than waiting for an official (and shitty) English version to come out.
Also, I felt that most of the plot was about as consistent as it had been previously in seasons 1-3, but less subtle. It was still "expose random important plot points" but the old seasons did it by having something in the background or a small part of the episode instead of the entire episode. If you look back though, most of the stuff is foreshadowed, for example orgalord was foreshadowed earlier in the season, and really early in the show, I think on season 2 marceline's dad mentions how Gunter is the most evil being in ooo or something, and the banana man/croak dream episode basically set up the encounter with orgalord.
I thought finn's dad leaving was fitting for the character.
The "cosmic being" thing was set up a season earlier.
I think in the most recent episode the lich's hand was copied all over the multiverse, so that's an interesting plot point.
Basically I really like how they became less subtle with the story arcs.
Wut? Food chain was by far one of the most subpar episodes. I mean, it was okay, but not what I wanted.
If you woulda said "water park prank" though, well, you'd be dead where you stand.
>Basically I really like how they became less subtle with the story arcs.
This is basically taking all of the magic and intrigue out of Adventure Time
we only got hints as to the true fucked up nature of the world and where everything came from. I'm not saying plot and exposition are bad, but in a kids show, subtly showing things is always better than just outright transforming the show into something more "mature"
> most of the stuff is foreshadowed
They actually didn't plan to put in any of the shit THAT far back, especially not to season 2.
The Banaman/croak dream was really only referenced in that episode and establishing that Finn had past lives doesn't mean that they introduced that concept solely so they could introduce the idea of Finn being a cosmic entity
Finns dad leaving was fitting for the character, but honestly just getting rid of him completely out of nowhere is just lazy writing
>I think in the most recent episode the lich's hand was copied all over the multiverse, so that's an interesting plot point
That could be come a plot point, but we saw that once it was severed from Jake lich, it didn't really do anything, so it probably won't lead to anything
It was more true to AT's origins than any other episode that season
Water park prank is just an example of the kind of shit episodes that Adventure Time writers started letting fly
Yeah, fuck waiting years for them to catch up the 10 already fan translated volumes just so I can buy the new one (by which time there will be half a dozen new volumes out anyway)
Buying LNs just doesn't work
Rainy Day Daydream has always been my favorite yes! The Thanksgiving special episode also makes me feel really good. And maybe Puhoy.
Also, I really don't like seasons 5 and 6 at all either.
2007-2008 was the beginning of the end anon, we all know this feel
On 2003 Cartoon Network, you could watch all of this in a SINGLE week:
>Ed, Edd, n' Eddy
>Courage the Cowardly Dog
>Sheep in the Big City
>Billy & Mandy
>Cow & Chicken
>Yu Yu Hakusho
>Zoids: Chaotic Century
>Classic Toons like Looney Tunes & Tom and Jerry
>Family Guy (Adult Swim)
>Aqua Teen Hunger Force (Adult Swim)
>Brak Show (Adult Swim)
>Space Ghost Coast to Coast (Adult Swim)
>Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law (Adult Swim)
>Futurama (Adult Swim)
>Trigun (Adult Swim)
>Cowboy Bebop (Adult Swim)
>Inuyasha (Adult Swim)
>Lupin the 3rd (Adult Swim)
It was such a diverse channel with so many great shows. Now, CN shows about 6-7 of the same shows over and over each day and you're lucky if two are good.
I dunno what happened to TV.
This. I loved the enormous variety. I haven't even watch cable since 2008-9ish now. Near the end all I ever watched was a little bit of x-play and even that had pretty much went to shit ;_;
Fucking love EEnE. Definitely one of the best cartoons ever.
What's so fun about it in my opinion is that they didn't need any magical shit or superpowers to make the show fun. They were just kids being kids. It was great to watch.
I had to get used to the squiggly outlines animation, but now I think it was a great choice of style.
2003 was definitely god tier for CN.
I think what happened is that the internet took over cable's lunch. Things like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube all took viewers away. So now all CN shows is Teen Titans Go. And the occasional RS, AT and SU.
I think 2003 was the biggest year for cable subscriptions. So in turn networks showed better content.
I dont know whether to feel bad or not, though.. the reason I dont have cable now is because it's too damn expensive. I do like the 24/7 channel model though. But not enough to pay so much for it.
85%+ of what you posted were great shows. I used to watch Adult Swim when it first started in 2001 when I was 9-10 and I remember Home Movies, Brak Show, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, ATHF, Sealab 2021.
Man those were the fucking days, I'd stay up til 1am watching all that every night on school nights. My parents were going through a rough divorce at the time so I could stay up as late as I wanted and watch what I wanted. Muh feels.
>tfw when CN will never be the same again
no wonder why people are ditching cable
The martin queen is still my waifu.
Man... and then there used to be Boomerang to show some of those shows, but as far as I know, it's also gone to shit. And they show commercials now too.
Why even bother with cable anymore.
>mfw when everyone I knew would say "you're on Chalk Zone!" because of my name
>mfw they kept singing the theme song
I liked the show though
With all this nostalgia, it's easy to get caught up in the emotions you went through as a kid getting to watch all of your favorite cartoon shows and now seeing them bastardized by tv execs who gives no fucks about quality and only seeks to maximize profits.
What I actually wonder is how do the voice actors feel about the current state of cartoons? Do you think they're happy with the content being put out?
God I remember watching toonami as a kid and getting into anime through DBZ, GitS, Cowboy Bebop and Big O back in the early 2000s
I pity the kids who grow up today with all these crappy bastardizations of shows like Spongebob. 2007 really was a shit year for everthing including cartoons
Helga's asian assistant was always a qt, also does anyone remember The Batman? Almost no one I know remembers it because it had such a weird place between Batman the Animated Series and Batman Beyond.
What. The. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
What the hell do they think they're doing?!
>you lost some kpoints because you did not disable your adblocker on kisscartoon.net!!!!
Well the minute or two I saw seemed pretty classic Fairly Oddparents but I guess it gets worse when the girl gets on screen?
People were too butthurt over that show replacing BTAS that no one gave it a try. Sad thing because the last couple of seasons were fucking amazing.
>That one episode set 1000 years in the future where Mr. Freeze reawakens from hibernation and some future cops have to dig out the Batcave's remains to figure out how to stop him.
I remember the episode where Timmy saw the world transform into a planet of the apes style world because of the wish of a monkey.
That was cool.
I just googled "drake bell debt" and the top of the page says:
>Drake Bell has filed for bankruptcy, according to court documents obtained by E! News. The former Nickelodeon star requested Chapter 7 in May 2013. According to the filing, the Drake & Josh actor owns $1.575 million in real estate and $10,500 in personal property, but has debts of around $2.166 million.
so rip that guy I guess. Last I heard of him he was trying to stir shit up with Justin Bieber, but Justin Bieber apparently got back at him by showing up to one of Drake Bell's appearances and stealing all of the guy's attention.
I guess I'm the only seniorfag, that still thinks cartoon network was a cancer that ruined cartoons, kids social lives, and animation quality as a whole. Sure they had some gems over the years, but it wasn't worth the cost.
Before CN, you had a solid 2 hours during weekday afternoons, and weekend mornings. Other than vidya there was no other reason to not be outside. Even vidya at the time forced you out, because online multiplayer, wasn't really a thing. You had to go to a buddies house or an arcade if you wanted to play with him.
Before CN, animation quality was steadily getting better and better. Then CN started a trend of relatively quickly and cheaply produced, highly stylized shows. There were a lot of pro/cons with this, but over all it sped up the process and eventually turned into a quantity over quality situation. It had gotten a little better, now, but for a while it was horrible.
desu the only cartoon I even remotely think of fondly from my childhood is that one with the cat and the skunk from looney tunes. Everything else was a time waster.
I'm only 20 years old though.
As someone who's just watched it earlier this year for the first time, I think NGE is a bit overrated. Not a bad show, but not THAT great either.
End of Evangelion didn't even make fucking sense. It was shit.
NGE was fucking shit though
>24 episodes of average mecha
>2 episodes of "no one understands what the fuck is happening"
>1 movie which is 25% badass mecha then 75% of 2deep4u artsy bullshit
It would have been a decent series if the just stuck with the robots and psychological themes instead of trying way to fucking hard to be deep
It still has probably the best themesong in anime history though
>NGE is the FnaF of anime. Its really mediocre and went on longer than it should
I agree with this 100%, but a part of me doesn't want to since Mangle, an animatronic introduced in the second game, is my husbando. I feel like ghe second game was what showed that the creator of the game has no idea why his game is even appealing cause of the introduction of balloon boy and the puppet. It was no longer a furry game about furry creatures who scare you, thus evoking curious mix of contrasting emotions from its players, if they're furries; balloom boy and the puppet were just shallow jumpscares at worst and took away from the game as they were not the point of the game at best.
No one likes the FNaF fandom though, and that's fine. Mangle's all I care about desu senpai.
Nge sort of sucked, I hated when it tried to be "deep" too. End of evangelion was terrible.
Artists shouldnt try to be deep and thought provoking when they don't know what the fuck they're trying to convey.
Ghost in the shell is bad in that regard too.
>Pony tail big guy and little non augmented detective walk into police station
>talk about a crime with police officer
>everybody sounds like beat cops
>they turn to leave
>police officer says some shit like "The wise elephant knows when to take the green pomegranates the mockingbird brings on the day of the rat."
>they use that to bring the case together at the end.
The first anime I watched fully that wasn't the obvious Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh!/DBZ.
Shame they never finished it.
History Channel now is actually worse than Cartoon Network, because it takes its nonsense seriously.
>This show was the beginning of the end; there were plenty of better shows with similar premises.
Not him but what does that have to do with wanting to rail the teenage robot in that show?
>search "rave master" on google images
>receive Fairy Tale
This show reached some incredibly deep territory for a fucking Nicktoon that was aired next to stuff like Spongebob and FairlyOddParents.
Did you know that there was supposed to be a movie where Arnold would go find his parents in the jungle?
Shekelodeon fucked with the creator's contract though, so he left before it could be made.
This show was awful, the villains were so watered down and kid-friendly.
they were fucking 10 years old, kek. I mean I was like 5 at the time it was out, so my case was okay, not like I still get like that holy shit
this is why I only like /co/ during cup season
