It's hard to describe. Just imagine extremely fucking hot metal burning underneath of your skin. It's so sudden, kind of like a dramatic slip, but instant, excruciating, pain, with something eating away at the muscle tissue.

I guess the best way to simulate this is to heat up a scalpel until it's red and stab yourself. Or boil a tiny metallic sphere and put it under a cut.

In short, it's fucking horrible.

If you're wearing a bullet-resistant vest, the impact feels like someone just swung a sledgehammer into you. Cracked ribs and serious bruising at best.

Chances are that if you're in a firefight you might not feel it at all at first.

Then the adrenaline rush wears off and it's not so fun anymore.

I got into an argument with some kid back in senior year if highschool about this apparently "bullet resistant" shirt. No padding, just a weave that doesn't get ripped

I told him that the bullet would push the shirt into the wound and not stop anything. He told me a bullet proof shirt was able to deflect the bullet somehow. I called bullshit imagining some soft shirt that just sinks into your wound.
