Fuck this. My conscription is coming up this year and there's no way I'm going to go through forced group living with this. Plus, I'm sick of living with such low self-esteem. I'm planning to move out this month and get some well paying menial job and just start saving up for a jaw correctional surgery.

I might have to cut all ties with my family since we have such contrasting opinions regarding my tertiary education but I don't care. I can't stand living with shit anymore.

Almost the same situation. I have a mandibular deficiency(I think, not 100% sure) and it's seriously affecting my quality of life and my parents just laugh it off and tell me to get over myself. I'm saving money from my job but they are making it really difficult.

If you have an underbite I'm pretty sure you have mandibular prognathism. Also, if your jaw makes a click when you open your mouth as wide as you can, you also have improper jaw alignment.

Anyway, if you're finding it problematic to save up a reasonable amount of money per month for your jaw surgery due to your co-inhabitancy with your family, maybe you should think about moving out. Not cutting ties though, I'm forced to the extremes since my family is absolutely against me getting a full time job when I should be studying to get into college. (But I'm doing fuck all right now and I have no interests in spending the last chapter of my youth with a facial deformity.)

I don't have an underbite. I have an overjet, hence the mandibular deficiency. My jaw doesn't click tho. When I went in to see if I could get it fixed by the government they told me they only do it in cases where it's actually affecting your health(sleep apnea, etc) and that mine wasn't. Doctors thought I had mandibylar prognathism so I had an x Ray.

Turns out I just have a large jaw bone/chin. Meh
