Who here /out/?
Why is the woods so comfy?
>>25959653
Does this shit cost a fuckton?
As a depressed NEET with no purpose in life could I live as minimalistically as possible and spend 90% of my life finding ways to travel to new places to spend time /out/?
>>25959653
Because suicidal poeple like to be out in the woods. I'm guessing in the near future you'll go out to the woods to kill yourself.
>>25959719
I won't fuck you
>>25959653
I wish there were any were I live ;-;
>>25959653
In my country, it's either too much fucking hot or too much fucking cold to do any camping or stuff
>>25960076
Where do you live, Kazakhstan?
I like to be by myself as well. That translates to being in the forest.
>>25960113
uzbek
>>25960113
I only go out when I have to buy stuff or some other shit, because I am a code monkey who just sits at home and makes money and never goes out. I make more than my father ever did and he still thinks I failed at life
>>25960188
Ehh I was close, but yeah that would probably suck.
I actually don't spend as much time outside as I'd like to. But then it's freezing at the moment.
>>25959699
Literally all you need to do is drive out, you can sleep in your car and walk around during the day.
>>25959653
>be me
>live in the mountains
>comfy mountain biking in the mornings
>comfy programming and developing at my battle station in the afternoon and evening
>comfy bed and posting and watching things at night
life is comfy robots
>>25960205
How do you manage to make money while working from home?
>>25960243
>your car
>>25961079
By coding I would imagine desu
>>25961005
Do you live by yourself?h
>>25961079
No that anon, but this anon >>25961005
I work for a company that does web based development. I have to go in at least once a week for meetings (which sucks since it's over an hour each way) i can't teleconference to for whatever reason. I can access all the systems I need from home, just work my hours and bill for them.
In my experience these aren't the kind of jobs you get fresh out of education or whatever, you need a proven track record etc.
>>25961149
Nah I have a housemate, he rides as well and works at a bar, so we head out riding most mornings.
>>25961158
Do you have a CS degree?
>>25961185
No degree, but like 75% of the people I work with have them.
I went the other path, made a portfolio of my own projects and small business sites i'd done for free or trade. That got me paid work, after doing that a year or so while living at home I got offered a job at a nice big firm.
Worked in the office there for ~3 years and then moved onto this work from home job. I don't work with the big teams doing huge expensive projects, just work with small business making sites and basic android/ios apps.
It's so fucking /comfy/
>>25959653
>tfw no woods near me
>tfw no sea near me
>tfw no mountains near me
I want to die
>>25961271
>tfw ywn live in a /comfy/ mountain cabin with your boyfriend
WHY LIVE
>>25961271
I am a degree less failure but i have literally no idea where to start with this. Can you help point me in the right direction?
>>25961271
Damn that sounds like the dream life.
I'd do anything to be able to maintain a decent income from home and live in a quiet, withdrawn place. You're lucky man
I never look forward to leaving the house
>>25961365
That is not healthy
>>25961328
Part 1
>research current small business website technology
>look at successful small business websites and what they do
>start making websites for imaginary companies that are similar to things in your area
>make a load of good ones
>make some other cool things as well, like a fancy looking portfolio site
>convince someone to let you make a website for free that they'll actually use
Part 2
>use that to advertise, get another free or very cheap website to build
>hope you have good word of mouth
>somehow drum up business
>???
>profit
>>25961374
Where do you think you are, exactly?
>>25961396
OK but where can I learn to make websites and such?? Do I need to learn to code(and aren't there tons of different coding languages/styles)? Where can I begin to even start with that? I like to learn new things but I have no idea where to begin
>>25961455
Do this first:
https://www.codecademy.com/skills/make-a-website
Then this:
https://www.codecademy.com/skills/make-an-interactive-website
Then try and make some cool things using what you've learnt.
Wordpress is very popular these days as well, so I'd suggest looking into that next.

Thanks anon, good tidings to you.
