>stick dumb ass bernie sticker on your car next to your flying spaghetti monster sticker >surprised when someone rips one off Whoever did it was just saving this Bernie from some embarrassment. Probably wasn't even republican.
>>25953400 He's the only one who gives half a shit about the struggles of the common man. I do like a lot of his economic policies, they're sensible. A lot of people who use the rhetoric "OH UR SOCIALIST THERFORE MUST BE BAD AT ECONOLOLONOMICS" are generally kinda foolish since all they know about economics is Reagan Smash and muh hitler fixed Germany. More to econ than Austrian theory, imo. Keynes is bae.
>>25953408 Cause the only thing Americans hate than immigrants is other Americans.
>>25953397 Sanders > Trump > Hillary > Literally every other GOP Candidate (Cept for Rand)
>>25953485 But what's wrong with Keynesian Socialism?
Austrian Theory has fucked the US every time it was implemented, from the credit based economy of the 20s to Reaganomics to the housing Market Crash.
Regulated Capitalism is great, Unregulated Capitalism is the devil. Giving living necessities, and necessities that were created to be necessities to the capitalist class is not only unethical, it's economically unsound.
I mean, I understand that you're a jobless NEET and don't know how taxes work, but you can at least try to postulate something other than le maymay arrows.
>>25953530 Trump is pro gay marriage cause he's pro gay marriage. As a New Yorker, I'm more familiar with Trump than most Americans. The guy is ridiculously liberal and a rogue element. But he's not a bad guy, socially; he has some good platforms, but for the sake of our economy and public order, Sanders is the superior candidate.
Also Trump is pro gays, pro weed and pro guns. What's not to like? I mean he's a bit of a crass asshole, but it's just an act to garner support on the right since lefties are afraid of Authoritarian Policy.
Ain't nobody voting for Trump. All you see is Sanders Supporters for days. The GoP is virtually nonexistent in New England though. (But that's cause we stopped giving a shit about race/ethnicity in 1865. Still waiting on the rest of the country to catch the fuck up)
Also the Economy doesn't suck here, so we don't really have extremists blaming memes like immigrants or other minorities.
>>25953313 Look dude... If Trump wins, the economy will roar for a decade and my reselling business will continue to boom.
If Bernie wins, I will simply go to college for free all the way up to my masters and then ditch this 90% tax rate shithole for Singapore until the US goes bankrupt and/or repeals his retarded socialist policies.
>>25953614 The debt is a spook. It's a meme. It's meaningless to the average American. Don't let people fool you with such nonsense. Most people who bring it up have little to no understanding of international crediting and otherwise.
>>25953651 Serious question: would doing either really help the US? Seems like growing your population in general is just a bad idea unless it's via small steady birth rates over a long period of time.
What the fuck would we even need Canada for? Farmland that is frozen 1/3 of the time anyway?
>>25953727 Land Invasions against Russia across the Arctic Circle, obviously. Also Annexation doesn't work unless you're a super Authoritarian-Imperialistic Entity (Which America no longer is) if anything, we'd spend entirely too much money bringing Mexico up to our standards, and the Canadian economy would crash immediately.
On the bright side, we gain a substantial amount of Oil.
>>25953313 > I don't understand why people think it's okay to touch other people's property like that! But say the same thing about guns and my money ( Read : MY money, not anyone else's, definitely not for some welfare nigger ) in front of a Demofag and he'll get all butthurt. Oh, how I'm laughing.
>>25953738 >Where? China? Or Europe? Maybe Even Russia? Oh what about South America? Anywhere that is most profitable for them. For decades, that's been China and Mexico.
You have to realize, I was merely saying that either way, I'd win. The only way I'd lose is if Hillary gets in and raises my taxes while not allowing free uni. This is how the markets work, including the labor market. If I can get something for free which will help me in the future, I will. If moving from a high tax nation to a low tax nation gives me a higher standard of living with the free education I received from the high tax nation, then I will. Welcome to self-interest, it's an amazing thing, and something that I have wholeheartedly embraced.
I don't care about equality, I just want more for myself. That's the way of nature. It's darwinian. People respond to incentives. I plan to respond in a very logical way for my own benefit.
>>25953819 >Keynesian socialism is great XD >just look at these epic memes that prove it >doesn't give any reason why it is I don't see why I should believe you over any other shill online whether they be capitalist, communist, or socialist
>>25953819 >it matters what does your state even have in terms of electoral votes? 2, 3 AT MOST? Keep thinking your little world of all-white suburbia and lobsters is the America we live in you deluded sap
>>25953864 It's buying power on a national level is what it comes down to. With a GDP as huge as ours, it's meaningless; a majority of it is owed to our own social and military programs and citizenry anyway. There's more to it, but I'm trying to keep it as layman as possible since most people look at economics as "The dirty government jews taking my sheckels for the blax to live off MY dime" around here.
>>25953909 I mean I'm a New Yorker through and through; I'm just trying to explain why New Hampshire is imperative for early nominations.
But ya know. Keep attacking New England. I'm sorry the Rest of the US isn't as great.
>>25953907 You don't have to, lol. You're entitled to your opinion, nigga. I ain't gonna fret if some anon disagrees with me.
>>25953900 Because turning your business into a government subsidy for china is a great plan.
People really don't understand the power of statism. The US could literally tell each major corporation "No fuck you, stay here" if it came down to it. They are American Citizens owning American Businesses after all.
Sanders voters: Many are idealistic children who can't even vote. Those that can vote are just adults with the minds of children. It's not necessarily his views that make supporting him something only a childish person would do, but the fact that his plans are simply too idealistic too be practical.
Hillary voters: Pragmatic adults who, while they share much common ground ideologically with Sanders voters, realize that Sanders is simply a poor choice due to his inability to understand how the world and our political system works. Hillary voters are basically Sanders voters that are actually educated and know how the system works.
There is no logical reason to support Sanders over Hillary. Sanders talks big game but will get nothing done. Hillary however knows how to play the game and knows it's not as simple as Sanders and his supporters think it is.
>>25953966 I didn't say that America was weaker than any other nation, lol. I just simply said we're not Authoritarian-Imperialistic (like the Romans, for Example. Or the Soviets. Or Chinese. Or Japanese.) We're an economically invasive plutocracy. (Also known as a Libertarian Republic)
>>25954005 Hillary cannot be trusted; end of story. I'm sorry but my vote is going to whom I feel is the best presidential candidate. The lesser of x evils ideal doesn't resonate with me.
>>25953969 >Because turning your business into a government subsidy for china is a great plan. Technically, if someone moves their factory to China, it's quite logical to accept a deal where you're sharing the profit 50/50 if your profits end up tripling. You're up 50% and you're now benefiting some entrepreneurial Chinaman too. It's mutually beneficial.
>People really don't understand the power of statism. You really don't understand the power of capital flight. See Venezuela as it stands today for an example of what it looks like.
>The US could literally tell each major corporation "No fuck you, stay here" if it came down to it. And then those businesses could "literally" go bankrupt because they're no longer competitive.
>They are American Citizens owning American Businesses after all. We're free citizens first. "American" as a nationality really doesn't even exist anymore. It used to but no longer. America is now a free-for-all country for anyone who wants to make money.
You have to be seriously clueless to believe this, I don't even know why I'm replying
Do you really think money comes from nowhere? Do you think things are actually 'free'
Do you think congress will collectively sign their own enormous tax raise? Do you seriously think rich people wouldn't hide their money or leave the country with a 52% tax as proposed by Bernie?
Do you not understand what 18.9 TRILLION dollars of debt means? Do you not know the country spends more than it collects and thus HAS NO MONEY Z-E-R-O D-O-L-L-A-R-S more spending is absolutely not violable, and not only is forced redistribution of wealth stupid, it's immoral
people aren't mega rich because there's not enough regulation, they're rich because there's NEVER BEEN MORE REGULATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY more can only help them get all the loopholes they want.
1. Keynesianism isn't socialism you fucking tard. It's capitalism that's uses fiscal stimulus to end recessions. It's not a modern economic theory either. The "new Keynesian" school is more influenced by Friedman than Keynes.
2. Austrian theory is wrong, but it's never been implemented, and neither has an unregulated market.
3. Just because le evil capitalists have more than you, doesn't mean they took anything. Saying that working for someone is unethical is like saying biology is unethical because you need to work to eat.
>>25954059 Well it's a known fact the rich can play the lawyer game and just hire a bunch of them to help them not pay as much. Middle class don't really have that ability so they just end up getting their money taken and well it sucks. Because long-term he's just gonna milk them. Trump's plan is okay but I wonder if he'll be able to execute it.
A lot of it is common sense and comes from actually understanding how the political system works, but this is basically the reason why you should vote for Hillary over Sanders dumbed down enough for your average Sanders supporter to understand: http://bottlemagazine.com/2016/01/19/on-hillary-and-bernie/
>I'm sorry but my vote is going to whom I feel is the best presidential candidate >whom I feel
Exactly. You're voting for Sanders because it feels good, not because you actually understand how politics works or because it will bring significant change. Doing what feels good even though it isn't pragmatic or logical is what children do i.e what Sanders voters do.
>exploit people make their own decisions and nobody forces anyone to go to work, using guns to force people to pay more taxes and threaten them to a life in a cage for not giving up their voluntarily earned money IS wrong however.
>>25954063 >"Darwinian" socialism isn't even rational. It's not socialism at all. It's me taking advantage of what's in the old country and then moving to another country after to take advantage of what the new country has over the old one. My ideas are about self-interest, they're not ideological. Whatever system I find myself in, I'll do what's necessary to raise myself.
But honestly, I'd rather have a freer market and nation than a "socialist paradise" where people actually think that planned economics works in any way, shape, or form. If you'd like to understand why planned economics doesn't work and you're not willing to read up about the calculation problem, just read the short story "I, Pencil".
>>25954085 No, it's just annoying to see people come on r9k when they live in these little cut off sections of society and proclaim the bullshit they see outside as if it is representative of anything other than their neighborhood. Your state has less people than my fucking city and to top it off, it's in New England. It's completely ignorant and cringeworthy to see whenever I come on here.
You all want to lean left but oh no no, you don't want to live near a housing projects. You want to stay nice and comfy in New Haaaaampshire. Fuck off.
>>25954122 They won't but tell me will the rich actually play by the rules and pay their fair share in taxes. The Sanders also doesn't command authority imagine having the guy walk into an executive meeting and tell them to pay their fair share of taxes. They would laugh in his face. I would prefer cutting taxes for the middle class and gradually raising taxes on the rich slowly and surely. That way it won't be an immediate thing that would piss them off.
>>25954069 >Technically, if someone moves their factory to China, it's quite logical to accept a deal where you're sharing the profit 50/50 if your profits end up tripling. You're up 50% and you're now benefiting some entrepreneurial Chinaman too. It's mutually beneficial. Is it beneficial for the American worker?
>And then those businesses could "literally" go bankrupt because they're no longer competitive. No, it's not that simple. There are ways around all these problems.
>"American" as a nationality really doesn't even exist anymore. It used to but no longer. America is now a free-for-all country for anyone who wants to make money Objectively true, but "Americans" still do exist, even if the country has been overrun by gutter-sludge who think they're somehow equal to people.
>>25954313 >Is it beneficial for the American worker? Nope. But that's why you should incentivize investment in the USA with a carrot instead of just a stick. If you put up tariffs on manufactured goods, you not only incentivize reinvestment in the USA but also protect those who Americans who are investors in American companies. On top of that, limiting immigration aids the American worker by creating greater amounts of scarcity in the labor force, increasing the American wage. You can aid both the capitalist and the worker at the same time with a nationalist internal free market.
>>25954379 >you're lucky you've found a country that gives you any sort of political voice I'm White and my family has been here on both sides for 5 generations. But just as my family left the British Empire and Kingdom of Italy for a new life before, I can do it again.
>>25954349 >do you know what national debt is Do you? >current government spending is absolutely not viable Of course not, the 1% will totally fuck both themselves and the most important country. How can you dillholes be so naive?
Most of the world can't differentiate a Jew from a white man, but nearly all of them can distinguish a Negro from a white man, and most of the world hates black people far more than the US does.
And, much more importantly, the president has been no more than a popular clown for the past few decades, and the crux of US foreign policy lies behind presidential advisors far smarter than the president himself.
>>25954576 >if current government spending isn't viable, then more can't be either Is it not viable? Why do you choose to believe there's some severe shortage of money in the richest and most powerful country in the world?
>>25954609 My father's side of the family were yeoman free-holding farmers in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
My mother's side of the family were cobblers(shoemakers) and entrepreneurs who came to the USA and reached the upper-middle class in a single generation. They ended up building a cheese packaging business and lived in a townhouse out in a decent section of the Bronx(back when NYC was over 90% European(since you don't think Italians are White).
My family has never been lower class and simply through intelligence, industriousness, and perseverance.
>>25954702 That's also a problem for today's generation they don't know what hard work is. College isn't a right it's a privilege, America is an economic jungle we aren't like homogeneous societies that can do that. If your smart and motivated you can make it in America. But comrade socialist Sanders is just gonna keep creating government leeches.
>>25954751 Not if you're stealing their money to fund dem programs too. Theres not enough money in this country to fund sanders promises. If we took all the money in the country, we still wouldnt have enough.
>>25954694 18.9 Trillion dollars of debt = the government has no money
not a shortage of money literally none of it,
if you do not understand basic math I cannot help you.
>>25954729 so i'm indebted forever to an institution who made roads I have no alternative too, didn't ask for, am threatened at gunpoint to pay for, and that makes the government benevolent and me a greedy shit head. got it
if you're against peaceful and voluntary association, then it's you who is the wretched cunt, and a literally physco at that,
>>25954775 Exactly. You get what you incentivize and he's going to incentivize leeches even more than they already are. The thing is, if the ability to leech is there, why not? If you're the one person in a classroom that doesn't cheat on a test, it doesn't make you "morally superior", it makes you a sucker. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is that you enhance yourself. Learning the material is great and and will aid you in life, but putting yourself at an immediate handicap in comparison to others will not do anything but make your life harder. If you can leech, leech. Just work towards a better society while doing so. There's nothing in the universe that says that hypocrisy is wrong. It's just what everyone has said since you were born. It's entirely subjective.
>>25954839 Look, nobody deserves anything, not even life itself. Life isn't about what you deserve, it's about what you can get. Maximize what you have. I'm not going to "help" other people if in doing so, I'm bringing myself down as well. That's not compassion, it's codependence. There's a fine line between the two but it does exist and it's very important.
>>25954935 I don't really care about abortion, I just think it's funny how libtards talk about how no one can tell women what to do with their bodies and then in the next breath demand that everyone vaccinate their kids.
>>25954933 >nobody deserves anything, not even life itself objectively agreed >i'm not going to "help" other people if in doing so, I'm bringing myself down as well. that's not compassion, it's codependence no if you were really american you'd understand why this is wrong good for you you finally found an overly tolerant white country to tolerate your gutter-ass that wasn't wanted anywhere else in the world
>>25955016 By making everyone actually pay what they're supposed to and taxing companies that operate outside of our borders so that we profit from international trade.
The reality of the situation is that he's going to bleed everyone dry for these programs and still not be able to afford them. His healtcare plan alone would cost and additional 15 trillion dollars. They're not sustainable or even plausible.
>>25955084 >if you were really american you'd understand why this is wrong I've given more to "help" other people and charitable organizations in a single year than you have in your entire life. I can almost guarantee you. Guess what? The people you help will become accustomed and entitled to your help. They'll then resent you when you either rescind or no longer can help them. The average person is a leech. Your proletariat is by and large, shit. The fact of the matter is that the majority of the poor are poor because they're people of poor quality, not because they're "oppressed" anymore than anyone else. Did you really think that I came to my opinions out of thin air or because I watched Fox News? No. My opinions are tempered and honed by personal experience. I remember when I thought I could help lift people up and have a mutually beneficial micro-community based upon the ideas of Kropotkin's Mutual Aid. I soon realized that it wasn't possible. I was drained and in the end, hated despite keeping those who I was living with up.
Ie. Once I was like you. I've learned.
>good for you you finally found an overly tolerant white country to tolerate your gutter-ass that wasn't wanted anywhere else in the world I'm quite sure my highly-educated and industrious family would be welcomed gladly in many countries across the world if we chose to relocate.
>>25954982 >>25955122 http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/whatifstop.htm Unvaccinated children can infect other children with potentially deadly diseases, including children that are too young themselves to be vaccinated.
>>25954334 No wonder my parents say fuck that shit. They make the 39% bracket. They work sales and make that shit mostly off commission. Sanders is literally telling people like them to just stop working as hard because either fucking way they'll make the same maximum.
just to fucking ballpark 40% of 230k brings income down to 125k
is this guy seriously retarded? He seriously thinks that 300k combined is the same thing as the people making millions a year? Fuck no, that's the small business owners, the fucking engineers, the chemists, the managers of the dealerships- not the owners, the fucking managers. Why the fuck is there not a 500k bracket, a 1m bracket, etc? How does that make sense?
>>25955913 Dude, my mom isn't home like 4 days a week because she's out at fucking copper mines in the disgusting badlands of new mexico making multi million dollar sales. She grew up on a farm. I might be a silver spoon cunt, but she sure as fuck isn't.
All so sanders can give Laquisha more gimmiebux because she doesn't make enough working part time to feed her mistakes at the 7/11?
>>25956014 300k, combined mi amigo. Who do you think it is? It's rays fucking auto shop. It's the couple where one dud is a petroleum engineer egghead and his wife is a dentist. Where do these 300 thousand dollar a year familys make this money? They paid their dues in their fucking 20s, climbed the wagecuck ladder, and made it to the top of the middle.
>>25955674 Just as the 4chan butthurt has lasted for 8 years. Blame it on King Nigger etc. etc. That's how the cycle works, you guys haven't figured that out yet? As soon as Obama got reelected it pretty much guaranteed our next president would be (ostensibly) conservative.
>>25956168 Define what you mean by shuffling properties. Define it. You don't even know what outside sales is. My mother doesn't touch a product, and she certainly isn't transporting land around the globe.
Don't forget Bill Clinton, he destroyed welfare. It can get even worse. First it'll be drug tests to get welfare, then you'll need to work a job mandated by the government to get your welfare. Shit, you want your tendies? Now you're working the toll booth, or you're working for the TSA, groping old men for minimum wage.
Let's not be idiots. Trump doesn't give a fuck about poor people, he wants you to put in an honest day's work for a few pesos an hour.
>>25956266 I would have said Real Estate, not sales, and I wouldn't have mentioned copper mines in New Mexico then. Yeah, she's selling New Mexico's land, piece by piece, to copper mines. She sells industrial equipment. The shit they use to pull the ore out of the ground, and the shit they use to extract the copper. As in she drives to bumfuck nowhere in the ugliest state in the union.
>>25956637 The cost is impossible to cover. The payoff cant happen because we will lose everything to attempt, and fail, to pay for his promises. His healthcare plan alone is 15 trillion dollars. Let that sink in.
I don't really follow politics. I'm trying to decide which is the most rational choice party wise. All I see in this thread is >these people don't know what they're talking about, but I do! Is politics just a meme?
