Surely you robots don't just shitpost on here all day. Post pics of your hobbies

I like rhythm games and have played for years but not very good at them.
I'll post a bunch of my hobbies. I find this thread interesting. Here is one of my koi ponds. The picture is from a few years ago and I've posted it here before. I take a great deal of pride in it. Many of my koi, not all, are imported from Japan and other parts of Asia. Others are simply good koi from local petstores that got put in with what would be considered ugly inferior koi. I also have some fancy goldfish, mostly red cap orandas. If anyone knows where I might be able to buy some tosakin goldfish in the US let me know. I would love to buy some as a gift for my dad.
phreaking, stealing payphones and lineman's phones. Mostly for nostalgic purposes.
I love shooting guns. Here is an RPK I got. I only shot it a few times but it's just cool as shit owning one. I have a bunch of other guns too. This one is just kind of rare and unique.
They're great fun. If you take good enough care of them they can get huge and real friendly. Some fish are much smarter than people realize. They can recognize people and become extremely friendly if you spend time just hanging around them. Hand feed them and give them the occasional treat and they'll almost act like dogs. I used to have one that let me pet it and pick it up out the water. He was about 3 or 4 feet long. Of course, most people think I'm crazy or stupid for believing fish can be smart and act this way.
I really enjoy racquet sports, especially squash and tennis. It's a nice release and also a great way to stay in shape.
I'm trying to get good enough at this shit for a pay'n'jump.
How often do you ride? Do you own the horse?
Don't do this dude. Once you get up high enough it's all money and the people are a whole new kind of awful.
>Source: Sister rode in Nationals.
I write. Or try to. Putting down the stories in my head is hard stuff.
I build my own lego sculptures. This one I made from over a thousand bricks and it stands almost 2 feet tall. It's a mecha based off of inspirations like Iron man, Gundam, and Pacific rim. It's even got two pilots, working joints, and posable digits that can attach to weapons.
>SureIy you robots don't just shitpost on here all day.
Assault rifle with working trigger.
Thanks. It's pretty heavy and dense so they would never sell it, but I have thought about bringing my stuff to local lego conventions and shows.
I read books. Mostly philosophy, classics, and lately a lot of world war 1 and 2. I've also been teaching myself German for no real reason.
Monitoring this thread for an exciting yet cheap hobby to take up.
I make replica vidya props. Pic related, almost completely accurate to the in-game model.
Just ordered this, hopefully it's good.
I've just recently started learning bass guitar. I feel like I'm starting too late in life to really do anything with it. So my only aspiration is just to have fun.
I like to cosplay and go to conventions, plus making props and costumes for them
Vaisnavist meditation ie bhakti-yoga
When did you learn to ride?
How long did it take?
I want to learn, but I'm a 25yo male and all the stables with riding lessons are marketed towards little girls.
not that I mind, but their parents might.
I have relatives that can ride, but don't want to burden them with teaching me.
>Others are simply good koi from local petstores that got put in with what would be considered ugly inferior koi.
How do you pick the "desirables" from the "undesirables"?
Do you sell your koi or just collect?
I've thought about getting into it, but the idea of disposing of all the "ugly" koi and pampering the "pretty" ones triggers me too much.
I'd just have to keep ugly ones for fun.
>tfw I just realized I want to ride a horse but don't know how
Yeah shit gets cold here. Cold enough to where the top of the pond freezes a few inches. They make special heaters that float on the pond. There needs to be a big enough hole for gas exchange and they'll be fine. You also have to feed them extra around October and November. When winter comes they sort of hibernate.
There's a lot of criteria like shape, size, color and contrast. There's a lot of shit.
>play drums, guitar, bass
>have been in bands but none right now because everyone I find to play with is either 1 a dick 2 shit taste in music 3 not capable of playing well to the point where I could do better than them myself
working on recording my own music where I play all the instruments
first time using my laptop cam, thanks r9k
I play alto saxophone and write duets for sax and trombone (what my friend plays). They're only covers of video game and anime songs but it's something. I might write and original piece one day.
But I doubt it.
Getting this beauty soon since my current horn is a piece of garbage.
I am into gunpla. Made a NG 1/100 Strike Gundam and a MG Age-2 Normal which I have sitting ontop of my computer desk.
Recently got into airbrushing. I bought a cheap SD Knight Gundam and painted that. Looks good. Currently in the process of painting a MG Exia. After that I have a MG Red Frame but there are so many pieces to it. Like more pieces than my Exia, Knight and Age-2 combined, easily.
Also can't paint in hot weather which makes it hard to paint this time of year (ausfag).
It's kind of funny to see a thread like this. I had a kinda bad acid trip the other night (we almost got arrested), and I realized I need to make more of an effort to have fun/be interesting.
how long have you been at it?
what's the learning curve like?
how do you like it?
There is no kyudo in my area, so I've been thinking about going somewhere to learn the basics and then come back home and refine my form with solo practice.
>how long have you been at it?
>what's the learning curve like?
At first you won't be allowed to use the yumi, at least my trainer didn't. First you had to perfect your form using training equipment. This can be a little frustrating but once you graduate to a full bow it is very rewarding. Buying your own bow can be expensive ( $500 + shipping + tax for a decent authentic one ) but the instructor will probably let you use their equipment.
>how do you like it?
It is not mainly a competitive sport like western archery. There are Kyudo competitions but that is not the main point of the art which is self improvement and a form of meditation ( some call it zen archery for that reason ). You have to focus completely on your form and your bow which kind of puts you in a meditative state, making you forget about everything else. I like it because it relaxes me and the people are very nice.
Because it is a form of meditation you can perfectly do it at home once you have achieved a basic understanding of the form and philosophy.
Magic. Legacy mostly, got an alright playgroup at my local shop
I collect WW2 paraphenalia. Here's my Type 30 Arisaka bayonet.
Fun fact: It was made by Toyota!
masturbating to youtube chicks
Kpop and making vidya.
This, chad gets to play C,F,C,G and sing about his glutes and that's it
>take guitar to school
>"I don't know I was just going to practice after school in the music room"
>"I bet you're really good go on play!"
>they stop me halfway through
>mfw "Can you play Wonderwall?"
>mfw "Let me show you how to play 7 Nation Army"
>game of thrones
Psychedelic users are associated with higher iqs.
Not saying theyre a portal to a magical realm of any of that bull, just that they often give a different and argumentally better perspective to a lot of problems.
I actually have a few but since I doubt I'll ever really get great at em
>Gunpla / Miniature painting
Nice, I just started playing squash on a regular basis with one of my mates, it's pretty good fun
Do you produce any music? What kinda stuff you like?
I watch anime and play video games when I'm high, might even masturbate but I tend to binge fap then stop for a few days. Oh and I was learning Japanese but I've been inconsistent about it.
I have tons of different nip tcgs I collect, so I usually play against myself, I actually really started to like it recently, and building decks to counter my best one is always fun
I make 4chan images.
I edit lots of images, gifs, and videos, spread across different boards.
This is one of my autistic ones.
>play video games and follow the industry closely
>read comic books
>watch shit on netflix
>sometimes read books
>listen to music and go to concerts
My hobbies are all shit-tier and only involve consuming media. I wish I was more creative.
I play Force of Will and Yugioh. Not my deck, but its the only picture I have on hand.
world building, drawing maps and writing lore
Same, anon. I use to do this shit all the time back in the mid to late 90s. I miss those times. You can still abuse old COCOTs located in 3rd world countries if you weren't aware.
Hey, were you that anon from the steamthread before? I am the Jeanne guy
I like programming. I just sort of work on random things, most recently this game thing. Here's some stuff going on in it, I also made a good map editor. I don't really intend to actually finish it since all I do is the code, but I'm going to just flesh out this "game" until I get bored and move onto the next thing. Right now I'm working on a new text system.
Is that a hobby?
Riding / working on motorcycles. Nothing quenches your thirst for speed and acceleration like two wheels.
>tfw blasting past a corner at 200km/h while music is blasting in my helmet.
If i make it past 25 years old I'd be real surprised.
Get a little 80's 250cc bike off craigslist.
Or a recent honda rebel
They're good bikes and they're really cheap.
Pic kinda related
I dabble in writing, drawing, music (guitar, vocals, recently got a violin as a gift but it was used so the bow was broken and I'm too poor to get a new one right now), and lately I've taken up programming and I enjoy it a lot, I'm trying to get into gamedev.
Also I suck at all these things. My strengths probably would lie in my poetry and sketching random shit half decently. I like to watch movies too.
>Yes, lets encourage him to spend 5,000 dollars on something he might not even like.
>something he might not even like.
Are you retarded? Buying a motorcycle isn't a blind buy like you'd blind-buy a cologne from the internet.
>Wanting to spend money on a motorcycle you don't know the history of
>Spending money on a bike you cant check all the electrical connections / seals etc.. on before purchasing
>Wanting to spend money on a carbed bike especially if you are mechanically inclined
>Being so stupid he thinks the parts are cheap and easy to find on 80's bikes
I could literally go on, shut the fuck up if you don't know anything about bikes.
Only sane answer.
i mainly cover songs since i don't speak jap. Miku's my favorite - one of the easiest to program and love the voice in general.
Here's an old sample - sorryy for the low quality. I recorded the guitar on my phone and the vocals are gibberish syllables (maybe one day will write real japanese lyrics)
That's the best way, in my view. I've just started three months playing guitar, and I've been having tons of fun. I don't care if I end up writing anything or any shit like that, so I'm not stressed out over it.
Wanting a bike and actually liking it are entirely different things
Parts are easy to find because theres so many of these things.
It's relatively easy to see if something is fucked up. Nobody is going to say you have to pay for it before you make sure it's in good shape
You know nothing about buying secondhand shit
Hunting itself isn't hard, acquiring land to do it on is. I live in southern texas and have 80 acres of greenbelt behind my house, so all it took was a 7$ bag of corn, flashlight and a rifle.
>Wanting a bike and actually liking it are entirely different things
That's why i said it isn't a blind-buy like you'd blind-buy a cologne from the internet, you autistic moron. You actually get out of your mothers house you fat slob, go to the dealer and check out the bike in person. And if need be set up a test-ride.
>Parts are easy to find because theres so many of these things.
They aren't cheap like you claimed, dumbass.
>It's relatively easy to see if something is fucked up. Nobody is going to say you have to pay for it before you make sure it's in good shape
Actually there's a risk involved when it comes to purchasing old bikes, and a lot of the time you spend more money on it than you actually intended in the first place.
>You know nothing about buying secondhand shit
You know literally nothing about bikes, shut the fuck up and don't give advice.
pic related, cuck
shouldn't you be off in a safe space talking about your feelings, faggot?
Its the card game I've had the most fun with. Think of it like Magic without the land problem and Yugioh mixed. Really simple to learn and really cheap if you avoid alt. art and high rarity stuff.
I'm all for killing animals bruh, i'm just saying you skillessly spray and praying dat dern piyuhg with zero tracking skills, zero marksmanship, zero tact, zero intelligence =/= hunting.
I fired one shot. It was about 1am.
It ran 25 yards and fell over, was dead within 15 seconds.
Stop being a fucking fudd.
that sounds great to me. what's the original song?
I might try to get back into it. Last time I played with it, I was in school and had to drop it for more study time.
Miku is love and life
this is an original that i made up, glad you like it! the covers i do are mainly anime OPs
you should get back into it anon, it takes some work but is fun once you get the hang of it
the software is kind of unnecessarily hard to use, it's easier that it seems once you figure out the basics. Not sure if I have a favorite, but one of the first i got into and still like is deco*27
I also do gunpla OP. This one is kinda shitty compared to my others but It was my latest build and I painted it so whatevs mane
I'd like to take up art but I've got bad fine motor skills and can't really do precision work with my hand, I can barely fucking write. All through school, Most of my teachers couldn't read my shit and the school let me type all my papers
I play Darts and listen to Kpop all day. I want to try and get into archery but that would mean leaving the house.
I play cards. Online most of the time. And I play video games.
Currently reading all of this
Just finished Seven Soldiers, would highly recommend it
Pond guy here. Here are my fish eating. I think it's mostly cheap goldfish in this one, but you can see some of the smaller koi. The net is to keep ducks and shit out. I don't think I have any good koi pictures. The sandan koi is my favorite though. In case anyone is curious.
No not really. I just feed them a little extra before leaving. Fish can go a long while without food and the water changes do not need to be done very often. Not on a large pond anyway. Generally the bigger the tank or pond the easier or less often you have to change the water.
They are pretty and colorful. The way they slowly swim by is visually pleasing and calming.
>Why do people like x? I don't enjoy it so others shouldn't.
Some kind of crane faggot used to come and eat my fish too. The net keeps them away, but you have to replace or patch up the net every few years. The net is intended to cover fruit trees to keep animals from eating the fruit, but I use it for the pond. The grey tarp is used to provide the fish with some shade in the summer.
you got dem tax stamps fo dem dare guns boy?
Great reading list. Morrisons bat-epic is truly amazing.
And it has
The Bat Myth. The Vengful God. The Dark Knight.
Goddam Morrison is such a good writer.
I listen to music
Lots of music
As a consequence I have mild tinnitus :^)
This whole series was pretty good. every other book in the series is a new story, and the others are just novelizations of the games. I've read a lot worse books that were based on games.
top 20 albums or songs?
And also I download albums but I always listen to every song on an album each time I listen to an album; albums are meant to be experienced as a whole imo.
My taste is nothing special but idc. I've listened to all the complex and hard to listen to stuff, but I sincerely believe that music gets famous for a reason
that gundams that you put togther from a box of plastic parts?
