Can I move to a big city and get a cheap as fuck room and start a new life?
>he fell for the bright lights, big city meme
Yea OP you can live in the projects and whore yourself out to nig nogs.
Well duh, but it all depends on how much you're willing to compromise. People have actually managed to achieve the big-city dream.
This isn't always true. Most countries already have people for every job. Speaking English natively is the only thing foreign countries can't do, which is why ESL jobs are the go-to for people who want to live abroad.
When I lived there I knew a 'murrican black dude who was living there illegally working as a dishwasher under the table.
It's next to impossiburu to get caught as an American illegal immigrant in Canada.
If you want to move to NYC, you could probably find a decent room with other people your age way out in Brooklyn.
These areas aren't bad and mostly filling up with other young white people these days. Then you just get an unlimited monthly metro card to take you to wherever you can find work.
Working minimum wage is pretty shit and will make you want to kill yourself. But if you are reasonably attractive, moderately well-spoken, and can fake being friendly in a retail environment, then it's easy enough to get convention/trade show work.
The Jacob Javits center always has conventions/shows going on and the individual booths that attend these shows are always looking for local people to staff them. If you can stand on your feet and smile for 8+ hours a day, you can get ~$15/hr tax-free cash at the end of the show.
That plus whatever steady work you could find during the week would probably work out fine.
cultured people from different ethnic backrounds, amazing restaurants on every corner, beautiful men/women, amazing fashion, 24 hour cabs and public transportation, bars open till 4am
I can go on and on and on, but if you think fucking chicago compares to ny, youre already lost
>different ethnicities and food
Taste of Chicago and those people and restaurants are still there even when the festival isn't happening
>good looking people and clothes
Literally anywhere with plastic surgery and clothing stores
>cabs and trains
So basically every decent sized city
>4am last call
Literally more than a hundred bars in Chicago and I don't know how many strip clubs
Retard saying "the ocean" had a better argument, Chicago only has the lake
2012. The cheapest you can probably find out there is like $700 now. still not bad. The metro is also extending out to santa monica this year year.
