What's your class schedule look like this semester, anons?
Pic related is mine, I'm thinking about adding an Into to Shakespeare course so I only have one class to go rather than two for my associates.
Also, please don't make fun of me, I want to be a teacher.
Last semester and then I'm getting the fuck out of CC.
Got my TAG into Davis.
>2-hour break on mondays and wednesdays
>2 hours of roaming the campus, sleeping in the library, and sitting alone in dark, unused classrooms
>Also, please don't make fun of me, I want to be a teacher.
See you in 5 years when you're back on this board telling us how you want to off yourself because teaching isn't what you thought it would be.
Yes Im french and gay
Quick translation is: spanish, phycics, chemistry, calculus, french, philosophe
I can't find a list of my unit names together (only codes) that I can screenshot so here they are:
Current Issues in Marketing
Going to add another as have to overload but not sure what.
Forgot pic, I'll delete the other post.
My last semester before I graduate. I'm not sure whether I want to do another elective or not just for fun.
>first day of the semester
>in sociology class
>75-80 percent girls
>professor is a literal jew
>tfw it was just the first day and he started talking about white privilege and male privilege
>tfw he already talked about le 70 cents on the dollar meme
>tfw there is some obvious redditor autist that was ranting about god or some shit and agreed with everything the professor said
>tfw he made a couple shitty jokes out loud and no one laughed and you could sense everyone cringing around the room
Should i get out of this class, stay in it and drop red pills, or just stay, contain my autism and give shlomo what he wants to hear?
If the class is required, then give schlomo what he wants to hear. Otherwise, gtfo. If you try to drop red pills you may end up getting a few converts, but you'll get a shitty grade in the class.
Sorry for the super long absence but I'd say it definitely is. Im not only saying it because its my language but truly because I think its beautiful. Learning languages also give you an edge on pretty much every job, and French is one of the most in demand. Plus you can get chicks with it
fuck i forget it
>having classes more than 3 days a week
>want to be a teacher
Hey me too man, good luck to ya.
>tfw you will never understand quantum mechanics
>tfw you will never understand model theory
>tfw you will never understand topology
I'm going to move small piles of brick from one play to another for the rest of my life.
>Lab aid for two separate sections
>Private tutor for three different students
>Treasurer for Uni Society
>Working on an outreach program to local high schools involving basic robots
>trying to get a summer research position
>Cripplingly depressed and barely holding on to any of it
Only a matter of time lads. Either I find fulfillment somewhere in this clusterfuck or it isn't going to happen and I should just write some abstract as fuck poetry and fucking kill myself.
I'm saying this as someone who does mathematical logic, model theory is an odd topic to list among those. Most people who talk about the "cool" fields of math that they would want to know about don't even know that it's a thing. And those that want to learn some field of logic probably want to hear about set theory and infinity, or the incompleteness theorems. Why do you want to learn it anon?
>Quantum at my Uni is taught by an adorable Asian woman who has stereotypical work ethic and is often very difficult to understand
>Good professor, but jesus I can't understand you
>Too cute and friendly to dislike
Please send help.
Mine is this super duper brusque Dutch/American hybrid, he clearly knows 100 times more than everyone else and makes you feel like a piece of shit for not picking everything up instantly. Could be better :/
>Reading about set theory
>Get to the Non-standard arithmetic
>Can't understand things like Ultraproducts or Lowenheim-Skolem Theorems
I guess I'm just interested in the foundation of math. I'm really too fucking stupid for this shit.
y-yeah, it must be the books. Can't be me, just gotta find the right book
Man Anon, I'm envious of you.
I'm complete and utter shit at math.
To the point where I have trouble with algebra
Sorry you're stuck on Ultraproducts and the Lowenheim-Skolem Theorems. Try approaching it from different angles, are there videos or like >>25887071 said and different books? Maybe try asking a professor or something for a different way for it to be interpreted.
Hey buddy, where do you think you are?
I'm pretty worthless and talent-less myself.
I feel so fucking guilty all the time about it. I just want to get a job and live on my own. I don't want to be a burden on anyone else anymore. I feel so ashamed
Still pretty early on in my college classes, and I've been taking relatively light course loads. I was able to scrape together a decent schedule this semester despite waiting until the last moment to sign up for classes (as per usual).
Have a bad feeling this is going to be cuckshit, only took it because I needed some filler.
Might be cool. Another class I just sort of took as filler. I hope it's not cuckshit.
This is a class I actually need. I'm actually quite looking forward to it. The theme of the novels we're going to be reading is "the apocalypse", which should be quite enjoyable.
I'm actually really excited to take this class. I've tried getting into it several times, but it always fills up right away. It's a prerequisite for all of the other programming courses. At long last, I'll be able to shitpost like a cool kid on /g/!
Finishing up most of my general ed
As another fag who does logic, you need some meta-theory and to build up to that stuff senpai.
Logic and Structure by Van Dalen is good, supplemented by Enderton for the more mathy stuff, like Lowenheim Skolem. Then move on to Hodges Model Theory or go the set theory route. Goldblatt has a good book the hyperreals which will give you a good example on how to use ultraproducts and NSA. I believe in you!
I dropped red pills in one of my SJW classes by saying the most flat our retarded over the top progressive bullshit imaginable, not only did the professor eat it up and love it which I suspect gave me lenience but I could tell people in the class were visibly put off by how radical I was and how the professor endorsed it
>applying as transfer to another uni
>get to this
>never had a job
Did I fuck myself or will it not matter too much?
>tfw all I need is math this semester
>haven't done algebra since 2010
Last math class I took was Geometry and some trig in 2011 because I was utter shit at math. I liked those but I've forgotten how to do this shit and now here I am, one class away from transferring and it's fucking math.
Tell me it'll be alright bros.
I had those 5 years ago now, I don't remember a thing about them OR algebra which I took 6 years ago. I remember liking Geometry and Trig because they were fun and easier for me to understand than Algebra but that's it.
What's up with Universities in the US having their students take so many different courses? Here in Australia what you nominate your degree/major to be is what you do, if you're doing a Maths degree you don't have to do history or IT shit
Also what's up with people sucking up to professors to get better marks and stuff? Its like over there you guys have a really close personal relationship with academic staff, its not like that here at all. If you tried to get all friendly with a lecturer or something you'd be seen as flat out weird, most people I know don't even talk to their tutors throughout the year
My sociology teacher took a keen interest in me. She quickly became a friend and a sort of mentor for me. it's not personal or anything but she does look out for me and gives me advice when I need it.
She even hugged me once. It's so strange
My uni this year has a weird structure, 8 weeks of doing all your core subjects and 6 weeks of electives.
Right now still doing core, I've got Integrative Ecology, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Comparative biology and Evolution of animals, Stats + Maths, and Plant Biology II.
For electives, I'm taking Evolution and Biodiversity and a bioinformatics class.
>8 weeks of starting at 8:30am and finishing at 6pm
>then 6 weeks of only two classes
>tfw same school as well
good thing we don't have the same calsses amirite?
>Tfw took all my general requirements at the beginning of college instead of at the end like they tell you
>Have to take my required classes basically one at a time now cause they're fucking pre reqs of eachother
I was supposed to be graduating this semester if I didn't fuck up. WEW I messed up bad
I did a topics in US history class for fun once. Actually was pretty nice. Interesting class, cool professor, easy A. While I didn't agree with everything he taught, he restored my faith in how academia treats WWII. Or maybe he at least had a better understanding of how history should be looked at.
He was very insistent about the fact that in history, there usually are no absolute facts other than dates. We can only read what someone else wrote about an event. These people who write history are subject to the same flaws that you and I are.
Sorry for the lecture, hope you enjoy your classes.
Antennas, microwave/optical engineering applications, DSP and a design project course.
>Anatomy and Physiology
>Cellular Molecular Biology
>Chemistry at 8am
Its gonna be a tough semester
Multimedia & Animation student here. This semester is quite a relief with only 3 subjects, compared with the last which had 5.
>tfw scared to post my schedule since it would be easily recognized by someone in the same program as me, even though there's like a 0.000001% chance of someone on here being in my program at my school
Im taking two accelerated math courses
>general cal and linear algebra
my goal is to take cal 1 over the summer with a stat class and enter into industrial engineering program.
>tfw almost went for a geography degree
>>realized thats no better than a shit life waiting to happen
dont ever fall for the lie of doing what you love. There are no jobs in fields you like
>fucking fedora faggot professor for my mandatory philosophy class
Bio class is anatomy part 2. My professor is based. Dude did cancer and stem cell research.
CHP is another mandatory gen ed. Nutrition. Kind of interesting, feel like I'm in /fit/ but more women.
Don't feel bad about wanting to be a teacher anon, I'm trying to be a
Won't let me post schedule from mobile. I got
>Business & Economic Statistics
>Metallic Corrosion and Polymer Degradation (Graduate Level)
>Intro to Economics (review from high school)
>Data Structures (apparently hard af)
>Physics I (more hs review)
I honestly don't really know how this semester will go. I'm looking forward to data structures, might be an actually challenging comp sci class for once
>Course requires Biology 121 and 122, Chemistry 122, Physics 122, and Psychology 101.
>Game Design Major
>Theater 101, Acting 101, Intellectual Heritage, Media Literacy Workshop (Reddit Edition )
I want off this ride.
Neruoscience major who is transferring in the fall.
Need to buff up my 3.4 GPA so im taking some EZ shit that I need at some point to graduate anyways.
I need help senpai. I need 4 credits to graduate, what should I choose
>2 Psych Classes (Social Psych/ Motivation and Learning)
This is my last semester and don't know which will cause the least amount of pain.
Depends. A lot of American schools apparently don't teach any integral calculus in Calc I, and spend a bunch of Calc II on that. I found Calc II to be much harder than Calc I. Ours was mostly about learning different ways to evaluate improper integrals and infinite series, and an introduction to diff eq.
First year nursing here. I heard 2nd year is pretty hard.
Also, GPA doesn't matter r-right? I'm doing the bare minimum work and getting pretty avg marks.
That's only kittens. You're not suppose to do it to adult cats because they can suffer damage. They aren't meant to be lift from the scruff when adults and it's only ok for vets to do it to keep them still for surgery.
fuck off french cuck, i learned french and it's useless
>most in demand
your empire was shit and no one one uses the language
speaking french makes you sound like a dying frog
