It says here you've been unemployed for almost a year. What have you been doing with that time?
Perfect answer for this question
>I was a live-in full time caregiver for my elderly grandparents for the last X years. Unfortunately they have recently passed away, but it frees me up to re-enter the workforce.
Employers lie all the fucking time during the hiring process, you have to fight back by lying right back to them. Give them the number of a relative or friend who will cover for you and corroborate the story (obviously inform them beforehand of the situation).
Just lie and put you were working at Radio Shack on your resume. Do anything else and you are just cucking yourself.
I'm not one of the two you quoted, but you're pretty much unhireable with a year+ unemployment gap. So there's really no harm in lying. You wouldn't have gotten a call back with a truthful resume, but lying at least gives you a shot.
I saved up my money and decided to become a NEET for a few years. My STEM+experience is outweighed by the 5 year gap at the end of resume.
Employers would rather have someone with no degree who has been working at Best Buy for the last 5 years than someone like me.
