You do know that if you weren't so afraid of what other people thought of you and just acted like yourself, then you wouldn't be so depressed right?
When I act like myself and become a little bit more confident and less depressed and hopeful, literally almost instantly it is snatched away and I am proven wrong. Why bother being let down over and over again? :-)
What others think of me is vital.
Without others, I'll be alone. And if I'm alone, I'll go insane. Like I'm doing now.

you must stay positive and stay at it
you are not going to win everyday, but you still have to try

Humans are programmed to care about the opinions of the herd, since we are social animals. Only autist and psychopaths are unable to do this.

>you are not going to win everyday
I'm on a 6940 day losing streak.
itt: people that don't understand depression
people that think it's possible to "just get over it" without behavioral therapy or medications
people that have never actually experienced depression or anxiety and think it just means sadness or shyness

Then stop being a walking doormat.
I have two possible options, OP.
>lie to impress people
>they see through my lies
>people are repulsed by my fake shitty persona
>I'm left alone
>act like myself
>people are repulsed by my bland, uninteresting, and annoying personality
>I'm left alone, but at least I was true to myself!!!!!!!!!
When people say "be yourself", they don't actually mean it. They mean "be Chad" or "be Stacy".
