Reminder if any of these pokemon have ever been your favorites or you've used him you're a normie who needs to fuck back to Facebook:
Scolipede > all
>Good attack stat
>that kid that really liked Mew
I wasn't surprised when he turned out to be gay.
crabis my favorite
mankey is the best by far. if you choose your favourite pokemon by how strong it looks you do it wrong.
>his favoUrite isn't Aggron
mcfucking kill yourselves
Golurk became my new fav instantly after I saw it in one of the newer games
Is Bulbasaur normie?
I can build a competitive team, but when I think of pokemon that are my "favorites", it's the guys I would want in real life as a buddy
a jaguar would fucking murder my dog, but I'd rather have my dog as a pet
A dog so big that you can ride on him, not to mentions he is loyal as fuck and spits fire from his mouth.
>sandshrew and psyduck
Mah nigga, Sandslash and Golduck a cool too
I've been out of the loop for a while apparently.
>God Pokemon that created all Pokemon
>is #493 in the Pokedex
I just cant get over the random number for a God. He should've at least been #500 or something.
Who /poliwrath/ here? I just want this nigga to get a good fighting move
I was under the impression that Nidoking was underplayed. I don't remember anyone bringing him up when I was a kid. People talked about Golem more than him. It's nice having a fully evolved monster by the time you leave the cave.
Paras is a little bitch. The only reason to have him is Spore which sounds good on paper but in reality it's a bitch move plus he gets toasted if they wake up. Onyx is fully evolved, so what? I remember when people said no evolution pokemon were legendary.
Attack needs it most, he's got nice bulk but I wouldn't argue that being beefed up more + bulk up = physical beast
What did you have in mind?
Yeah, fuck that abomination.
ev training is when you go on platinum and use that machine to continuously fight the same pokemon for max stat gains. i said dream eater because you can attack while they cant, thus avoiding weaknesses
>Lucario is a glass cannon so you'll have to train it's HP and defense.
Are you retarded, even if you train his HP and defense he's still fragile as paper, you focus on his attack/special attack and speed
I was always too lazy/had no friends to get an Alakazam so Kadabra was just as good for me.
I always went Venusaur, Kadabra, Pidgeot, Gyarados, Muk, and Ninetails
>tfw used a Pinsir in the battle threads, back when HGSS were the most recent releases
>tfw no-one expected it
>tfw beat some shitter's Ubers team with a Trick Room team with Camerupt on
I've always liked fairly simple designs, which don't massively overstate what type they are. Things like Flareon (essentially a fluffier Eevee with a red tint), Clefable, Golem (admittedly is a rock, but also a turtle thing), and Persian. I'm sure there are others from other gens that I can't remember right now, I'm not a genwunner.
For glass cannon pokemon you don't bother EV training their defenses because no matter if you EV them to 252 they will still die in 1-2 hits
You train their attack/sp attack and speed so they can be more effective in what they're designed for
Its basically like this.
>If you picked Charmander
>If you picked Squirtle
>If you picked Bulbasaur
Cute is good but shit on it's own.
>tfw the recent games require you to trade while holding some specific item to evolve some pokemon, inherently limiting the number of that pokemon you can get
>tfw they do this with shitty 2-stagers which are already wasting cart space (Aromatisse? Slurpuff?)
>tfw no way to get people online to trade with the items, and not worth risking your own if they don't
>tfw literally no-one cared about an ingame justification for why Snorlax didn't used to lay Munchlax eggs (etc), but they still went and put 'Incense' items in the game anyway
>tfw Evo Stone evolutions for shit 2-stage pokemon (looking at you, Sunflora)
>tfw you like the underdogs that others forget about
>tfw always had a soft spot for Exploud, Crawdaunt, Arbok, Poliwrath (to some extent), Kingler, and Pinsir, on that list alone
I wish Kingler and Seaking were gud
So what pokemon best fit /r9k/?
Magikarp/Gyarados is a bit of a school shooter.
Greninja can literally unsheathe katana and teleport behind you, in SSB at least.
>Mfw Black and White is hard mode whatever starter you pick
>there are more then 500 Pokemon
How did this happen? Did retards all jump on the bandwagon of this franchise? I miss my 151.
the only fucking pokemon worth a shit is those unidenfied ones i forgot what they arecalled but they look cool as fuck
and obviously that one that looks like a pokeball and assplodes
Yeah, but that was partly to give you a reason to trade pokemon that were holding items, which was a new feature in Gold and Silver. Why they continued significantly doing it after that is beyond me. For one or two it would have been fine, but not loads. Does anything after the original games even evolve through a regular trade?
>tfw captcha is 252
Ma nigga. This is exactly what I meant by 'not overstating their type' in >>25847414 .
Ninetales is a Fire-type, but doesn't shove it down your throat. It's subtle, and looks pretty good as well.
That's just an average of 120 new pokemon every generation and 114 if you disregard the orginal 151, the series will be 20 years old starting next month and is on it's 6th gen. If they added too little pokemon to a new generation then there wouldn't be much incentive to use and catch all of the newer pokemon
>the series will be 20 years old starting next month
No I can't deal with this
What the fuck
How long was it out in Japan before they released it in the West?
>without entering the thread I can tell there are people who play or care about anything past Gen3 because of their fowl stench and bright autism shoes
I remember the controversy Black/White brought up after it had a bit of time to settle, so much arguing over whether it was worst or best gen.
I really enjoyed Black2/White2 however, they were actual new, fresh games compared to the rehashes like Emerald and Platinum
Reminder that if you don't name your Gardevoir after your oneitis then you're a normalfag and need to leave.
I'll agree that most Gen 5 designs were crap but the construction clowns and all the good bug types certainly make up for it.
>2007 stateside baka
Officially Generation 4 came out in 2006.
It's like am hanging out with casuals...
I'm gonna get the New 3DS XL sometime this month. I'm kinda new to pokemon but wanted to try it (or Nintendo in general) because it's something different. I'm sick of all those whiny spoiled Amerifat kids who play CoD all day. I imagine that Nintendo has a community much better than PS4 or XBOX (PC isn't a console, not talking about PC here). By the way which pokemon version is better, Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby?
Hilda a best. She was first girl character I played.
>Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby?
It depends. I got Ruby when gen 3 came out so I got OR, but Team Magma (OR) has a better design to me.
I can tell everyone got AS so OR would be good for trading over GTS. Filp a coin or get both.
