Travelling alone is far better unless you're a bit of an insecure scared type with little confidence. It's better because you don't have to worry or feel attached to anyone else and their plans and you meet loads of new people anyway if that's your thing. If you have a hobby to travel with it's even better and you will sure fire meet new people then and have common ground beyond the usual mundane cliche garbage where you pretend to care about what everyone is studying because your life is so fucking boring that even being in a whole new place can't alleviate you from that reality.
