I'm at episode 21 or so. It gets better with time.

The first 10 episodes are atrocious. The worst thing about the series is how incredibly shitty it is drawn. I'm not exaggerating when I say there are certain scenes which could easily be better drawn by a down syndrome child with crayons. TOEI is like a mafia.

As of now the drawing is okay again, but it will never reach DBZ level since cell animation required actual consistency and dedication. Most anime look like crap today.

The series should have ended after the Cell saga. Everything after that was unnecessarilly drawn out(yes, even for DBZ) outlandish and unremarkable.

It's a cultural thing breh. A lot of main heroes are voiced by women. The one voicing boku is ancient by now, but still does it pretty well for that. Western audiences have a problem with that by default, since our society is largely based of hypermaskulinity and domination.

I watch everything in its original tone, not only anime, but also Russian or Korean movies etc. I feel like something is taken away by dubbing it. It feels artificial to me. But to each his own. I personally think the Kaio voice in DBS is terrible, because the man voicing him is probably on valium 24/7.

The older episodes still have slight discrepancies between characters as I think different people drew the character's each episode. One really noticeable example was Android 18's face who in some episodes of the Android/Cell saga was drawn disproportionately or lopsided. Then some people come in for an episode and absolute nail her attractive features.

I'm usually not for this weird manchild obsession towards cartoon characters, but whoever drew her in the episode that she fights Vegeta absolutely nailed her beauty. One of the most attractive looking drawings I've ever seen.
