could one of you please explain to me how you can sleep on your backs every night knowing that pic related could happen to you? sleep paralysis is real and what you see is in it is just as real and vivid if not more vivid then all the other objects in your room you can, in most cases feel what they are doing to you and you can't do anything about it other than lay there.
>inb4 this belongs on /x/
oh shit nigger, I used to sleep on my back and feel something warm on top of me, it would pressure everywhere from my feet to my head
fuck I never thought about it
THAT SHIT WAS ON ME EVERY NIGHT
Sometimes I will induce sleep paralysis on myself "for research"... see what happens is if I dont open my eyes I dont get the visual stuff so I hear stuff. I hear people talking to me. This got me wondering who these people are and why they are in my mind trying to scare me,
I have never had any hallucinations of any kind under sleep paralysis. I regularly induce it for lucid dreaming, and the only thing that happens is that my body gets really stiff and I can't quite move it.
sleep paralysis can also happen if your sleep on your side you dumbass, also
>not even enough willpower to wake up from your own dreams
thats how much of a beta you are, you are literally cucking yourself
it happened to me a lot of time. I just look these entities in their eyes and they usually go away.
Apparently I give enough bad vibe that even something like this is scared of me.
Or probably I just have the willpower to woke up.
Because I don't fear them. I don't know if I just have the required willpower/awareness, but every time I've had a paralysis I've been able to recognize I'm having one, usually because something in the dream clashes with reality, and literally force myself awake by "commanding" myself to move. Also I've noticed that I can more or less reliably trigger them by falling asleep with headphones on, so don't do that if you fear them.
Sleep on my back every night since forever and never had sleep paralysis, nothing to be afraid of here
>get sleep paralysis 4 nights a week or so
>used to freak me out constantly
>it's so common now I am used to it
>common theme is a shadowman figure standing at my door
>used to scream and try to wake myself up screaming
>now I just stare at him blankly like
>"Sup? you jus gon' stand there or wat bruh"
not even my nightmares are exciting anymore...
It's the reason I always sleep on my stomach.
Waking up to pic related is one of my worst fears. I've already had my fair share of sleep paralysis. I've heard voices, usually a woman laughing, I've heard scurrying, people talking in a weird language, I've felt something try to go into my asshole, most recently I've finally felt the cliche goblin/hag riding my back.
>could one of you please explain to me how you can sleep on your backs every night knowing that pic related could happen to you?
Had it happen to me, was spooky as shit, couldn't go back to sleep that night, but was fine afterwards. Stop being such a fucking pussy and sleep however's comfortable
I'm pretty sure this shit is just a meme. Almost every time I sleep on my back and I never had sleep paralysis. Let alone hallucinations.
I'm more scared of sleeping on my belly. Because I usually put my arms under the pillow and wake up scared shitless not feeling them. I always think I'm having a stroke.
I've sexualized my fears for so long that I legitimately can no longer fear them. I just get horny
Sleep paralysis is very real but not that big of a deal tbhwyf. The first time it happened to me it was scary as fuck, but subsequent times I knew what was going on and just went to sleep. In fact, I intentionally make it come on sometimes so I can lucid dream.
It only happens occasionally on its own, though.
Anyone else get this:
I will be laying in bed drifting off to sleep. I am in that half waking, half sleeping state and I am just about to enter true sleep. Then, all of a sudden I hear a very loud noise, it hurts my ears. Most often it is a train's horn blaring very loud. I get a mental picture of a train chugging along in the dark and I am looking at it head on, with its bright headlight shining at me. This very loud sound is enough to wake me up instantly and makes my heart beat fast.
It just means youre reaching REM state. Your body is falling asleep, but your mind isnt. Thus, you easily freak out because you start fearing the sensation. Education frees you. Knowledge is power.
I have always wanted to reach that point. >>25826726
You anon, have made it pretty far in this. Feeling air in this state means you can start telling yourself how you would want to see your dream as. Thus you will be a step closer to lucid dreaming.
>at first feel a mix of fear, curiosity, and revulsion
>then notice how its face is so symmetrical and how it's so slim
>start fantasizing about kissing him and doing perverted things with its shadowy tentacles while he doesn't say a word
I've been spending too much time at /d/
It used to be very common when I was a kid
Common as a teen in high school
Now it only happens if I don't lucid dream basically
The thing that I used to see in my nightmares as a kid started showing up in my room and then started showing up in real life and it turns out I have schizophrenia
Mr spook is a bad man:(
Holyshit i didn't know this is actually a thing,
I looked up, thats so fucking creepy, specially the images on google.
I sleep with a blanket over my head, so i wouldn't be able to see it.
And i have very vivid nightmares nearly every night, so I'm pretty used to things like that by now, that being said, i did have sleep paralysis once where i saw a midget clown standing in my hallway, and It's a totally different level of fear, but once i came out of it i was fine, i also had a nightmare that i was laying in bed, i couldn't move, and something was sitting on top of me(but there's a blanket over my head so i can't see) and i would consider it a fairly mild nightmare desu
Pretty spooky desu
>Only sleep on my back because it feels good on it
>Would open my eyes in the middle of the night and see a faceless woman watching me sleep
>"I-it's just my imagination go back to bed hahaha"
>Keeps going for a month
>One night she reaches towards me
>Muster up the strength to yell "FUCK OFF PLEASE?!"
>She jumps back
>Body language looks depressed and she walks out of the room
>Get up and turn on the lights and she's gone
>Wake up in the middle of the night the next nigt
>She's not there
I miss her. She was spooky but she was the first girl to really take interest in me and I think I made her cry.
>Usually sleep on belly
>Started sleeping on back one night
>Demon attempts to eat me while I helplessly squirm on my bed and make mumbling noises because I can't control my tongue well enough to speak
>Cry while 100% certain I'm going to die
Yeah fuck that, back2belly for me
What happens when you get a boner?
There's a line on my dick because it bends in half when i sleep on my stomach.
Mine is similar to this.
I heard this really evil low chuckle coming from like some cave inside of me.
The most visual I got was seeing a really bright car light on my desk.
My wellbutrin makes it a thousand times worse tho.
I can't even asleep in a chair without getting it.
Can only sleep on stomach
Sleep paralysis is that weird state where your mind and eyes are awake, but the rest of your body is asleep.
I couldn't even tell if I had a boner.
And I'm far too focused on trying not to get killed
>The sleep paralysis meme
Go back to reddit and 9gag you fucking piece of shit, everyone already knows about sleep paralysis it's no reason to go around saying you have it in a failed attempt to be edgy. I'm sick of fucking tards like you feeling the need to say it in public like you have nothing else interesting going for you
Just kill yourself you fucking pretentious cuck. Go to reddit and get upboated
I experience it frequently. Sometimes I'll experience it multiple times when I try to sleep. Each night it happens I must breath faster to wake my body up, but each night it is stronger, and each breath weaker.
My eyes are always closed when it happens. I see nothing, but feel my body falling at an extreme speed, in no specific direction.
One day, I will not be able to wake myself up. I wonder what will happen to me then.
>all end up with me being killed in nasty ways
>dont want to sleep anymore.
>when i wake up, i even feel the wounded and missing limbs, despite everything being normal.
>tfw you cannot sleep unless you are on your side
>tfw you want to have sleep paralysis
>tfw sleep paralysis is the easiest way to lucid dream, and you cannot do it
You faggots need to harness your powers. I tried to sleep on my back, but something compels me not to... OH SHIT DON'T DO I-
Fuck you I have to go downstairs to eat sometihng and now I'm scared
>have a nightmare
>always turns sexual along the line
>wake up with sticky undies
I get it on occasion. I don't really hallucinate, just feel a bit panicked about something bad happening while I'm stuck or not being able to be unstuck. Sometimes I'll feel a presence or something but I've never had the crazy witch on chest hallucination thing. It actually sounds neat. I mean it isn't real at all.
I actually want to sleep on my back since I hear it's healthier for your spine, but I always think about people that have died throwing up like that and choking to death.
I'll stick to my sides.
>Literally can't fall asleep on my back, only stomach and occasionally my left side
Feels bad man.
>Go to bed
>Try and sleep on my back
>Settle for seeping on my side
>Wake up on my stomach with my arms under me
This is going to fuck up my wrists or some shit.
>have to start on right side, roll to left, roll back to right
>done this every night for like 5 years, if I don't, only like one day a year can I fall asleep otherwise
>haven't slept on my back in like 12 years
>take melatonin every night too, for at least 5-6 years not counting a few breaks
>literally the only way I can prevent myself from cycling forward, and keep on a human schedule (only when I have shit to get up for in the morning though)
JUST END ME
>tfw take up nicotine sometimes
>the first like day I feel a little more in control
>every night after my sleep is fucked up, and I actually screw things up more often than not smoking
INTO THE BIN I GO
I've been hugging a pillow for years. Throughout middle school (jesus fuck too long ago) I would sleep on my side/arm and cut of my blood flow. Almost every morning for years I'd wake up and my arm would be numb. My legs started fucking up too, so for a year or so I slept with a pillow between my legs. I was never over 190lbs.
I can't manage to fall asleep staying on my back, the urge to change position gets me every time, and whenever I tried to fight it, I could stay awake constantly. I'd have to be REALLY tired to fall asleep on my back, like "haven't slept in 20+ hours" tired.
I've forgotten everything. I do remember one being an old man and another a British guy. Both angry and hostile. I'd remember both talking in a way I would never which makes me wonder if people live in my head.
>tfw have a toilet witch in my house instead that protects me because I
POO IN LOO
>tfw having recurring nightmare
>tfw gain lucid dreaming
>mfw I rape all of my monsters
I've experienced sleep paralysis three times already, and I've had the voices, weird language, etc. I always see and hear dogs barking and biting me... I could even feel it. It's even extremely difficult to breathe, and I even thought I was going to die once, haha.
>not being afraid of the one place where your worst fears can come to life and seem completely real
It can be really cool.
Now in my adult life whenever it happens and some monsters is attempting to scare me I role with it, I try to not wake myself up so I can see just what it will do.
Though the second to last time I tried talking to the entity (it was a shadow that crept on the ground) . I never tried talking to them before.
I just sort of ask it something like "so what do you want to tell me, tell me something interesting".
Sure enough it whispered. it seemed a bit surprised I was trying to talk to it. Then it was doing this sort of angry hushed whisper. Like you are in a library and someone is pissed.
No real words that I could understand, it was mostly just 'feeling' it was giving vibes. I was sleeping next to my girlfriend at the time and it was extremely maliscious to me, but when I showed no fear it was whispering about her, that it wanted to do maliscious things or that I should.
Like it was trying to convince me to allow it to harm her or that I should.
The I got annoyed with it, basically I 'told' it that now I have to wake up because I'm not getting her involved, it would have been ok to talk to me.
The last one I saw though was a quite tall woman, white dress like night gown or something, dark scragally hair covering her face. emaciated, long disproportionate arms ending in extremely long bloody claws.
She just stood near my bed, maybe making a low growl.
So I thought it would be interesting to provoke her. I basically thought to her (since I can't speak) "well since you're so interested in being here and it's early morning why don't you come over here and put those hands to good use"
She twitched and tensed and growled louder. That really got her pissed. Her fault for being vaguely feminine and coming around when I had morning wood.
How come you lads get to see all the occult and I don't... I only hear whispers in an unknown language and the sensation of falling. And maybe episodes of horror films that scared me when I was a child. I'd so much rather see some Necronomicon tier stuff than gay ass alien tentacles. I have to read more Lovecraft. He was enlightened.
If you learn control in dreams through lucid dreaming, the same hypnagogic state which is responsible for the Hag's Hands can be used for truly spectacular, psychedelic effects. For example, when I wake suddenly in a hypnagogic state, I am instantly aware of it. I'm able to open my eyes and see the waking world, then close my eyes and see my room transformed by dream, often with dream characters sitting on my bed or in a chair nearby watching me.
On one recent occasion, I saw a person's hand lying beside my pillow. I followed the hand with my eyes and saw a young girl dressed in all white standing at the head of my bed, staring at me in silence. We stared silently at each other for a little while, she with no expression on her face, then she grabbed my sheet, crouched down, and drew the sheet over her head at the head of my bed.
When I opened my eyes to see the waking version of my room -- the sheets were still in exactly the same place. I got a rush of adrenaline and jumped up, pulling away the sheets, and of course there's was no one there. But trippy experiences like that can be fun-scary if you know they're hypnagogic fugues.
I fall asleep on my back every night, used to be able to fall asleep on my sides but now I can't for some reason.
Sleep paralysis hits me like once a month if that. Only lasts for 5-15 seconds but holy fuck are those 5-15 seconds scary.
I toss and turn in my sleep I think so it's whatever
SP is fucking dope and extremely helpful for lucid dreaming. It's actually pretty much a guaranteed lucid dream if you don't freak out like a little bitch.
Train yourself to lucid dream and you'll be wanting sleep paralysis to happen.
