>hang out with normie friends
>one of them says: "To me, I feel like the reddit crowd is like super intelligent and they genuinely want to help others out."
>people genuinely agree with him
what the fuck

I wouldn't agree with the super intelligent part but reddit is a much more positive place. You hardly ever get chased out of subreddits and the average age seems to be higher than say /b/ so I could see why it may seem like more intelligent people are on reddit. Here people are generally more rude and posters are mostly children or awkward outcasts..

you very commonly get chased out of subreddits
I'm on my 7th or 8th account now because I say something unpopular and get rude and threatening pms after that
a couple were posted to r/srs, and after taht the account was basically dea, everything I posted was pretty much on autohide and I had feminist cunts send me messages for a few days straight

>Comparing /b/ to anything
The Reddit crowd is normally even more pseudo-intellectual than us.
That description fits Quora better

I talked with some redditors
they genuinely believe the libertarian shit they spew
>DUDE TAXES R BAD LMAO
>DUDE WEED LMAO
>DUDE PROSTITUTION LMAO
