It's even worse than that. A good portion of /fit/ doesn't even lift. Fitness is a meme now and they post about fitness while not doing anything. Of those who do lift, their beta genetics prevent them from making any significant progress. Without steroids, picture related is the best the average /fit/ user can hope for after years of training.

Confidence( obviously better body better confidence)
Cooking (you would probably need to cook your own food)

Humans lift because we lost the genes that gave us great musculature doing jackshit that most great apes possessed. In the past a man could be built by just doing labor but now we machines to do that so we need a way to build muscle and that is lifting.
