OP, you bring up some good points and I can tell that in essence your heart is in the right place. If anything you recognize a societal problem that most "normies" would just laugh at.

What can I say though, as you said social skills are getting poorer and poorer yet the ego's of some people get higher and higher. We are the social media generation and it has created a void in which some thrive and the others simply can't keep up. All the people here still long for the warmth and comfort of belonging, but it just hasn't happened to us. All these years of negative experiences has culminated into this asocial bubble that we can't seem to get out of.

You recognize the problem, yes. But given your status and age, you can't empathize with the situation here. At this point most of us just don't know what we're doing wrong, society is simply not working with us.

What are we to do when we keep on getting rejected and excluded? We build a barrier of sorts, we tend to automatically recluse as a defense mechanism as to avoid more and more of these toxic experiences that other people simply aren't having. We're still human beings and a lot of us still have these basic human desires, but we're in a position where we are powerless to do anything realistic; so we drown our sexual needs in porn, our social needs on image boards like this, general unhappiness leading to drug use etc. We obviously have some sort of mental health issues, but even that is such a fucked up process; with therapy doing fuck-all for anyone aside from just being friends for hire, and so called "medicines" with effects unknown to anyone. Then add social media on top of this, making all this a meme. How can we even take anyone seriously, including ourselves anymore.

But this the reality, and we're all powerless against it. The accepted will thrive, and people like us are simply taking space, occupying ourselves with these technological distractions until we wither away.

Also, we have plenty of the finite resources. Rare earth minerals, for example, are only so rare because digging them out is immensely costly and destructive to the environment, so only places like China are willing to do it. If we ever were at such a shortage that we desperately needed them, we could tap into our own reserves. Shit, we could even explore Antarctica and turn it into a giant mine shaft.
