Used to have social anxiety, ~3 months later that I met a lot of great people (honestly they were amazing, being kind smart and friendly )
Since I had no friends I acted autistic that time, but they kept being nice with me, and when I released they really did liked me and didn't talked to me just to shit on my back after, I gained a lot of self esteem and confidence

I know it's kind of cheaty, but at the time I was socially anxious I was still in school and already browsing 4chan, and the first friend I made was a guy I heard talking about 4chan (here in France nobody know what 4chan is so it's not cringy to talk in public about it) I started talking to him, and he was friend with all the people I met.

Yeah, it's a coincidence that I had the opportunity to make friends and get out of social anxiety, but I'm sure wether you are in school or not, you can build the courage to talk to some ''''nerdy'''' guy like normies like to call them then crawl up the social steps .

I get anxiety around new people. I won't say anything when I meet someone unless they say something back, and if they don't share similar interests I won't open up.

Ye, cripplingly bad in the past, power thru it most of the time. Always on high-alert though. Social situations are a bit of a chore. I've got to be high to enjoy others company. I like to think of myself as a pretty top-shelf person, and most people just don't compare. I still give them the time of day and get on their level.
