OP I ratted on an acquaintance because I was jealous my girlfriend at the time wanted to hang out with him because he sold pot and smoked her out. Called the cops, pretended to be a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous - said that I smelled weed all the time and that he had people coming/going all the time.

They showed up like 30 minutes later with a "Noise complaint" and then "Smelled Marijuana emanating from the apartment."

I was like 50 miles away at the time lolling my ass off when she texted me and was like "So I was X and Y got arrested." I told her I was glad she was safe. That guy got a year in jail.
