Hey /r9k/ what was your favorite movie of the year? Did you even watch a movie this year?
interstellar was the fucking best movie of the decade
the martian was very very good
>why the commander / murph is not my girlfriend :'(
gravity was the very definition of failure.
Star wars 7 was awesome
i still hoping for evangelion movie :/ i think that the only 2 directors that deserve that honor are
Of the movies I saw that were released in 2015 I'd have to say The Hateful Eight. I've been watching a ton of movies recently, but I didn't see many new movies in 2015.
The best movie I saw in the past year was Drive, but it was released in 2011 or something.
Bone Tomahawk is the only movie released this year that I've seen, and it was pretty good.
Best movie I watched this year regardless of release date is Interstellar. I wish I would have gone to see it in a giant theater
what do you want ? michael bay ? explosions all over the place
get back to watch fast and furious 7 dude... the guy is correct. if evangelion have a movie the director have to be one of those...
but i would give a 3rd option. Guillermo del Toro. that guy is a master
>watching 4k episodes of Korean children fighting monsters and fucking octopuses
lmao ing @ all the retard wannabe movie watchers in this thread
honestly, what the fuck is wrong with you people?
Interstellar was good, but not that good. mcconaughey is not that good.
Haven't seen the martian yet, heard it was excellent.
Gravity was a very good movie, I'd like to hear why you hated it.
Star wars wasn't that great. Better than the prequels by far, but not that good.
I like Aokigahara, it's one of my dreams to go into that forest with a camera and recorder to ghost hunt or someshit.
I'm too much of a poorfag to afford going to the movies, but I got a gift card for christmas.
Why am I pleb because I like those movies? If you're gonna waste time typing out that shit, you might as well give some thought into your post. Explain your thoughts.
Do you look through box office rankings and select your favorite movie by the least popular ratings?
i don't have the energy to explain. ill just call you reddit and move on. have a good night
Sicario was extremely overrated
Emily Blunt served 0 purpose in the movie
>my donger when she was getting choked
Ok, maybe one purpose
Shut the fuck up
Never fucking reply to me again unless youre_ contributing to the thread, faggot
>Emily Blunt served 0 purpose in the movie
this was brought up several times throughout the film, in the end her role was only to sign off so they could get past the red tape and make sure that everything they did was "by the book" on paper.
Make me, faggot
Then why advertise it as a Blunt movie?
They didn't even reveal the sicario's actual intention until the end and then he just shot that family and then hurr durr the end
Can't believe I used 17gb on that shit
I didn't know robots had such bad taste in movies, I guess it should have been expected since they only watch moe shit, why wouldn't their taste in movies be as bad as their taste in anime?
>Then why advertise it as a Blunt movie?
she had a lot of screen time and we saw most of the events through her perspective.
>They didn't even reveal the sicario's actual intention until the end
it was hinted at from the very beginning when his allegiance kept being questioned, you should have known they were going to end it on the boss of the cartel being killed seeing as they repeatedly mentioned "b-but don't you want to get the people really responsible?"
you're entitled to your opinions but I think you should just give it another watch.
there's no need for an argument, it's not bait, that is honestly how I feel.
moe is garbage for manchildren to feel "comfy" to and the movies that are in the top are mindless action movies, do I honestly need to go further into this?
*shoots you before throwing you out of a plane*
*nothen' personel big guy*
They might be mindless action movies, but that doesn't make them bad movies. I got an extraordinary thrill watching Mad Max. It's not the best film ever made, but it was creative and exhilarating to watch.
I like /comfy/ feels in my movies. I also like films that challenge my perspective. Neither are bad film styles, they're just different that satisfy my moods.
My fav movie is 2001: A Space Odysey, the next is American Beauty, and next is Fight Club. They're different films with different styles and demographics, but they're not bad movies just because they don't fit the narrative that you've created for what a "good" movie is.
Obvious bait here but just for those who haven't watched these films:
Gravity: kicks ass, realistic, meaningful, the plot could be improved a bit tho
Martian: fun movie but way too childish. Realism at ok(ish) levels with only some glaring retarded things
Interstellar: TURD. Story fake as shit, plot holes everywhere. Retarded copy of 2001, for the amerifags of today. Only CGI and bullshit. Realism? Watch spongebob instead.
I know Mad Max is by no means a bad film but I feel its place on the list is a little high for what it was, that's not even my main gripe, Star Wars is even more undeserving of the top.
Mad max was not exactly a bad film. It was an interesting approach to a movie that could very well have been another of these boring "video game" movies.
I enjoyed it at the cinema but I wouldn't watch it a 2nd time
1. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) 9.2
2. The Godfather (1972) 9.2
3. The Godfather: Part II (1974) 9.0
4. The Dark Knight (2008) 8.9
5. Pulp Fiction (1994) 8.9
6. Schindler's List (1993) 8.9
7. 12 Angry Men (1957) 8.9
8. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) 8.9
9. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) 8.9
10. Fight Club (1999)
heres my personal favourites ;^)
>tfw hate all visual media barring some music videos, videos/movies about drugs, and video game streams/tournaments
This just isn't fun anymore. I think I need to leave
The only one I saw was Beasts of No Nation, and it was great. The only ones I really want to see are Creed, Entertainment, and The End of the Tour. I'm sure that I'll eventually get around to seeing Star Wars, but I doubt it will be very good.
>mfw i've seen the top 4
go fuck yourself faggot
if you prefer the absolute boredom of a movie that gravity is and didnt enjoy the fucking adventure of a movie that interstellar was you deserve to be tortured everyday. fuck you
Fuck that movie, it made Eazy look like a punk. Which in retrospect is probably true, considering he died of aids and Dre is a billionaire. But the one thing is Eazy's cred remained in tact which the movie tries to damage and make Dre and Cube look better.
Couple of things were outright fabrications in the movie:
-Eazy got beat up by Suge Knight
-Eazy was going broke after the rift between Dre and him and he was jealous of the Chronic's success
>Room getting spammed to the top
I'm so glad I monitored this poll for three hours. This was worth it.
Picture obviously related, right around the time in the movie when he was getting all teary eyed about what could of been, he was blowing Dre the fuck out in tv interviews and on MTV
>Mad Max and Star Wars up so high
