Testosterone is a regulated substance (and can be very dangerous), estradiol is not.

Also estradiol is the same medication that menopausal women take, it's not like pharmaceuticals need trannies to make money of it.
The vast majority of their sales of it are to older women.

I'm bisexual and quite androgynous. I have no deep desire to be a girl either, I just like looking at myself in a way that I find attractive.
That being said, I don't dig the entire crossdressing thing (meaning I'm not a trap). I think that actually "trapping" people will never really give you a desirable partner considering they'll usually fetishize you into something you are actually not. I also have too much of a manface to ever achieve anything along those lines.
To me it's important that I still keep some of my manliness, since that's what seek in men as well.
I also find it exceptionally easy to spot transsexuals (most of them look like manly women), though there's of course overlap with women who are manly on their own. I've only seen about a handful of "traps" that actually look like women.

And also, remind yourself that you won't be like that forever. Your looks will degrade, and whatever partner you find would have to accept that.
