welding is very high paying and doesn't require an expensive degree. you can get certified at a technical school for very little money.

i interviewed for a job recently. it was a super small, local company. but with the kind of business and transactions they do, it's way more lucrative than most of the corporate desk jobs around. my interviewer was this loud alpha dude. we had a lengthy convo about college and shit. i'm pretty sure he implied that if i did some "favors", i'd get the job. i'm not gay, so i just laughed it off. he said i wasn't quite what they were looking for, and we hung up.

i just thought it was funny. i'd absolutely try to pull the same shit if i was a higher-up at a company with low accountability like that. it also made me wonder. under what circumstances would i have done it.
