how's life senpai? you makin it in the world?
>tfw you no longer relate to young robots
>you care more about money, your career, and future than stupid memes like >tfw no gf
>still live at home
>still driving a clunker
>barely just graduated
>tfw existental dread life is passing you by and you're getting older
>tfw you just want a good career, a good income, your own place, and the money to travel and experience the world
I live with my parents and I don't recieve NEETbucks.
A usual day I wake up around 10 to 11 am, eat some food, go on the computer to post on r9k, read tech news, do some programming, watch anime, play video games, then finally cook dinner. Repeat above until I go to sleep.
i feel you sad frog
i am become old and ive not done fuck
squandered all my opportunities
im hungover and might shit myself later bc fuck it i pretty much dont care
>don't live at home
>divorced with no alimony
>younger hotter 20yr old gf
>lots of hobbies including mma and standup comedy
>friends are all grown up, hardly see them if at all
>not home much but it's me & my dog & gf when I am
>only browse internet 1-2 hours a day
>still come on 4chan occasionally
it's mixed feels all around
Yes but at least you can afford to live on your own and have a place where you can do whatever it is that you want
At least you have a little financial security and freedom to buy things you want and engage in your hobbies
At least you're respected by your family and made them proud by nothing being a NEET
/business degree/ here. I thought about entering the advertising field and working at a big firm because it's not as monotonous and it seems there's the ability to be creative with pitching ideas.
Is that just a meme or is it a satisfying job?
>easy office job
>small apt in the city
>play old snes games on the weekend
2 things. Day job at a huge chemical company. Bunches of paper work. As a kind of hobby that I get paid very little for I write hockey articles (also still play hockey after like 18 years). Not dead inside because I hate life, dead inside that I'm fucking 24 already and time is going by quickly.
My family forces me to go out every once in awhile.
>do you make money from programming?
>are you working on a project?
Yes, a couple as well as contributing to some open source projects
>how old are you
I work a crappy retail job and my co-workers are a bunch of retards, so that sucks.
...But I don't live with my parents, I'm somewhat fit, and I have 4 grand in savings, so it's not all bad I guess.
I just have to work on fixing my shitty personality so that maybe I can get a girlfriend before I'm 30. My hopes aren't too high for that, though.
>so far behined most of my peers
>everything seems hopeless
>apply to a job at fast food
>everyone is younger, going to school, have a future planned out it seems
>it feels like I can't escape, no drive, used to lift every day now I can't even drag myself to the gym anymore
>went to new years thing with my family
>haven't had a conversation with someone my age in years
>couldn't hold a conversation with any of my cousins my age
>they all have kids and good jobs, friends, wife's, money
>tfw HKV,broke, and friendless.
>just sat by myself as they were all talking among each other
>parents cry because I'm such a loser
> mfw when im 26 and all my friends complain about being old
You're fucking 26, how the fuck are you stressing out about age? I feel like i have more control over my life, and things got way better since i graduated
>23 years old
>going though a program to become certified medical technologist
>worried about how my life will be when I'm 24
>know I'll be able to find a job but worried the pay will be shit
>feel like I'm so far behind everyone else
>feel like I'm a failure
>convinced a poo in loo and a Nigerian to give me $120K to start a venture
>hired myself at $30/hr
>company might or might not make a profit.
>what ever the outcome is, I still win.
It's possible to be technically proficient or at least hard working while being completely socially incompetent. You have to find the right work environment though. Probably not some hipster place, somewhere boring that cares only about profit.
No, I'm failing it miserably. I've got just enough money in my pockets to last maybe a year or two then I'm broke with no job, no home and no education.
They are sort of at that stage right now. My mom keeps trying to tell me to get some minimum wage job but my dad is trying to convince her that I should just wait until I get a programming job.
>1050 a month
that's fucking pathetic.
a the average mexcian here makes about twice that amount.
better watch that gf when Juan puts new 22's on his red f-150.
I'm in yurop but for us it's pretty much like this
>below average salary
less than 1200$/mo
>very good salary
That's living alone with about 800$/mo in housing/food and no debt
i've struggle for years with temp jobs at min wage and having barely 200$ in savings at the end of the month were dreadful
In dollors it's like 1500 I guess
But after rent 700 a month
Bills ele/gas/net/cell/food and traveling expenses I have around 20-30 a week to myself usually though I spend that on boose and Valium to numb my boring life I want to go back to collage at some point
It's alright, got back in to skateboarding again and have a small group of friends. Got a new car too. No bf (no homo) but whatever. Overall not too bad, shitty job but I enjoy what I do and the people I work with are pretty cool. Going back to school in the spring too. Life is alright for once.
we live in different countries and cultures m8
and i'm not even talking about east euro countries
i'm talking about France/Germany/Spain/Belgium
the reality in my country is most position requiring a "license" ( +2 years of studying after highschool ) pay from 1200 to 2400 and you're socially capped in salary by your level of education
my mother who worked in the same company for 25 years was capped at 2500 being an accountant
my dad in the same company jumped from a tech to an engineer about 15 years ago and gradually improved his salary from 2400 to now capped at 5000
and he's the project manager and definitely so he's one of those key person and absolutely vital to their branch
i'm always in awe when I read stories about people in the US making absurd amount of money with few years of experiences and just an engineer's degree
only you could make it here is doing your own start up and if you're sucessful you can pay yourself 10k/mo
hell, our local pizzaiolo is making more than my dad...
