I would have ended up like you robots but I found salvation through online school where there is never late work and u dont have to contact your teachers. You just do your own thing. I just graduated a semester late robots with a 3.3 or 3.4 gpa, teachers are still grading but one of those.

I dropped out at 16.

I just went back in 2015 and get my GED at 28 years old.

Now I am starting university this year.

It's like a more autistic minecraft if you're just a player, but it's way easier to build/ make stuff. It gives you a free platform, free tools, free servers, free everything.
And if you can get players to spend the onsite special currency in your game, you can exchange that monopoly money you earn into real dollars.
Some of the top devs are earning ~$30k a MONTH, with someone recently capping $50k in one payout.

For me its a risk-free toybox to mess around in and make games, I've been around from the early days when it was marketed more of as a online Lego + physics sort of thing.
