My aunt who is almost like 60 years old had a schizophrenic son who has been a huge burden emotionally and financially her whole life but she loved him.
Her first husband beat her and left her and she didn't marry again. She married another guy.
Her son (my cousin) died and immediately after her husband left her.
She was at our house one day like a year or less later and nothing seemed wrong or off. She mentioned to me she liked talking to my dad becausenow that her only child and her only non abusing spouse was gone she was all alone
This woman is like 60 and keeping it together and looking for work even when she has nothing left to live for and no future, just doing menial minimum wage chores to keep paying for her house.
That is probably the saddest thing I've seen in my life, watching her smile when she spoke to me but I could see she was dead inside and just waiting for her body to catch up.
