It doesn't get better for us. You can definitely try, but you will eventually realize that your efforts are all naught. You will fall back into depression and dispair; at this point you will either give up completely or start the vicious cycle of attempting to approve/failing and falling back into your old ways

I can't remember a time I asked for money from my parents and didn't receive any...
Is it even possible for someone to be a robot and not be middle-class. If you're working class your parents didn't have money to pay for internet or a WoW subscription so you would have been FORCED into socialising with other poor people outside instead of online.

My mom spoiled me well into my early twenties and I only recently thought about how much it really screwed me out of developing into a functional person.
I'm 28 and still living with my parents, never held a job, still being spoiled. Dad seems to be on his last nerve, though, never liked how mom raised me.
I'm too dependent on her to stop and I don't even know how to go out and survive on my own. For fucks sake there are 18 year old kids living alone and working jobs and I'm just here being a drain. Makes me really want to die.

I'm semi-spoiled. My parents were pretty lenient about stuff lie chores. I rarely did chores, and they didn't do much to enforce it. As for school, my Mom would nag me to do Hw, so we eventually agreed that if I did well in school, that she wouldn't nag me about it.
As for asking for things, they only occasionally gave me stuff that I asked for, and I eventually only asked for stuff for my B-day, or for small things like candy.

Why the difference?
