Look for lessons, try community colleges, they often have rudiments of music theory and/or piano lessons that can help you understand stuff like scales, signature keys, melody, rhythm, etc.

Keep in mind you don't *really* need to do any of this. During the late 70s/early 80s punk and post-punk era there was a massive DIY movement, and some of the best songs were written by groups (like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Television Personalities) whose members just literally picked up instruments and started playing, learning by trial and error.

Yes you can but it won't remove any sebum as there is nothing to emulsify it with the water. Dirt gets trapped in the sebum so it won't effectively wash your face. I suggest if you don't want to use a face wash much go in between the two. Likewise using facewash too often can dry out your skin.
