She split up with my father back in 2007, and divorced him a couple of years or so thereafter. Comparing now to then, she's an extremely different person, to the point of it being night and day.

She's EXTREMELY susceptible to those around her, adopting the opinions and personalities of whoever spends a lot of time around her, and allows films and the media to influence her life outlook significantly.

My mom was one of the strongest and best people that I knew, but nowadays is totally different. She's a lot more similar to her friends who she spends most of her time around now than she is to the mother that I knew growing up. She goes out drinking a lot more now, cycles through depression, and is much more of an "outraged" type these days who thinks the world is going to Hell and there's nothing anybody can do to save it. I used to butt heads with her occasionally growing up based on some stuff that was justified, and other stuff that was ridiculous on her part, but nowadays it's a situation where we don't even live in the same world.

I love who my mom once was, and still love her, but I can't stand being around her for prolonged periods of time any more. I wish she'd go back to the person she used to be. I could have probably prevented it if I kept living with her, but hindsight is 20/20, and you can't put toothpaste back in the tube.

I genuinely hope that she's happy with her new life, but I genuinely don't think that she is. She'd have been much better off staying with my dad, most especially for her sake.

If you're being serious, porn addiction is a very serious thing. I had that addiction myself through most of high school, fapping whenever I could, which was usually 3-4 times a day, most of it to porn, only occasionally to fantasies of girls I knew from school. I didn't even realize it was a problem until my freshman year at uni when I actually missed class just to go fap, and combined with a few instances of being very near killing myself, I almost fucked it up.
It was a very sobering moment, realizing that the only things you want to do are masturbate to fake people doing fake things for money and sleeping. Its fucking bullshit.
But after that I got pissed off that I'd fucked up my life so bad, and worked as hard as I could towards unfucking it up. 3 years later and I have an amazing and supportive girlfriend that, for some reason, gave a fuck about my problems and helped me fix them. I still masturbate occasionally when she isn't around (long distance relationship), but that's rare and when we meet up on weekends there is lots of sex involved.
Not saying porn is unequivocally some kind of sin bullshit, but in my experience it'll fuck you up as bad as heroin.

Next time you get the urge to binge on porn, go to the bathroom and quickly jack yourself off into the shower or something and that's it. The urge is over and you're free for the next few hours. Do something productive and you will appreciate the relief.

Understandably, addiction is a mental thing but do that a few times and the obsessiveness with having to watch fucked up shit will slowly fade over time. This is the real solution, imo, not some no-fap bullshit.
