go to tools>selection tools>intelligent scissors. select the area that you want to modify. then go to colors and play around with levels, hue/saturation, curves, and some people use the burn tool. if you want more detail, there are forums out there with some tutorials.

xrays are bullshit don't bother trying. Learn to redraw so you can do fakes.

there are a few guides on morph boards on other image boards. also, look at lighting and brightness too.

to make your life easier, make sure you master image and canvas size, as well as making two tone text (color with black border) if you want to make captions too. Pro tip: if you make caption porn on an image with little free space, expand out the image to give you space for text, and use the gradient tool to make a backround
