You are Captain Dr Maximillion T Strongarm and everything hurts.

You were recently told by your shy nerd of a navigator that your temporary boss found out someone you rescued put a hit on your partner which ended with you getting stabbed by Mercury Seastone.

Which feels a little like slowly drowning if the seawater was also made of poison and burning you.

You also have a match this week against the champion but it still hurts to get up and you aren't sure how almost being assassinated in public looks.

It's starting to occur to you that you may not be perfect and there might actually be some difficulties on this voyage. Well that's what you get you guess.

>Time to train, if you arent strong enough now just MAXIMIZE MUSCLES.
>Work with maria on teamwork, we will need some secret skills
>Maybe Wreckasaurus will give you some moves, he's invested in helping you
>Do something unrelated to training, you still need to gather crew and you havent even tried yet, plus you should get to know Beef flank.

Skeleton army here... sorry but I have to go to the dentist :(

The year is 851 IC (Imperial calendar) and a great darkness have fallen upon the world. Magic have started to disappear from this world due to unknown reasons, corruption spreads and chaos grew ever stronger. Famine struck the land and plagues claims more and more life as the days gone by, and to make matters even worse, it have been nearly two centuries since a hero, chosen mortal who is the avatar of good, was born. Scholars widely agree that this age was to be called the Second Age of Strife, the first being a few hundred years before the founding of the Imperium which is before the First Hero was born. But enough about the world. Lets talk about YOU. You are currently being led by the chains alongside other criminals and lowlives through the hall of Greystone Prison. Here, your story will begin. One of the guards that's responsible for assigning the inmates their cells turns to you

"Next. You there, lets see..... the chopping block huh? Tough luck. What kind of crime did you even do to get here? Oh well, it doesn't matter now does it? Get in your cell now- wait let me check your name.....

You are Kusajishi Riku, a shinigami and sitting Captain of the Ninth Court Guard Division. At the moment you find yourself deeply embroiled in a conflict surrounding the Kasumiōji family, a noble house of the second rank whose power and influence within the Soul Society's political world are very nearly comparable to those of the noble Shiba, Shihōin, and Kuchiki.

After a show of violent force that very nearly reached the level of what you'd consider gratuitous, you've managed to subdue the secret force of assassins maintained by the Kasumiōji retainer Kumoi. Now begins the process of gathering evidence to bring to the Central 46 to prove conclusively that Kumoi's mad ambition drove him to produce bakkotō, a dangerous and highly illegal type of spiritual sword once considered a rival design to the modern incarnation of the zanpakuto which all shinigami rely on. These assassins have surrendered their blades in exchange for mercy... which was timely for them, as you weren't totally certain how long it would have been before their own now-abandoned weapons started to devour them.

“So, you think Captain Shihōin's going to capture him?” one of the assassins asks aloud, only to be silenced by your intensely disapproving glare.

“You're going to sit there and think about what you just said until she gets back,” you tell the man angrily. “And then you're going to apologize to her for saying it.”

“Yes, ma'am...”

“So who are you people anyway?” you ask, finally breaking your glare and allowing the poor assassin to breath again.

The first assassin who surrendered, the one who seems the most frustrated by their employer's flight, rolls his eyes. “Some of us were from the Nukui family. We served the Kasumiōji... that is, until Hanza decided Lady Rurichiyo was too weak to lead and pledged his loyalty to Kumoi.”

“And who is this Hanza fellow?” you ask pointedly. “Where can I find him?”

The assassin jerks his head in the direction of one of the corpses. “Dead. You and your zanpakuto turned him into assassin okonomiyaki.”

“Ah, so that's who that was,” you nod thoughtfully. “So who's in charge now?”

“That would be me,” he replies. “Nukui Mako.”

“Well then, Mako,” you muse. “Your first order of business when this is all finished will be to apologize to Lady Rurichiyo.”

“No seppuku,” you add, knowing full well what he was about to say. His jaw snaps shut abruptly.

“I suppose it would be too easy a way out,” he agrees. “Very well, we will see what Lady Rurichiyo orders when we confess.”

“Do you regret what you did?”

“Yes and no,” Nukui Mako admits frankly. “Hanza was not mistaken in his assessment of the young Lady, she doesn't have the personality to lead... perhaps the qualification should be 'yet'. But Kumoi was clearly the wrong person to lead us as well, and betraying our rightful leader tarnished our honor as retainers to the Kasumiōji.”

“At least, that's what I believe.”

>You're wrong. You should have given Rurichiyo a chance to grow into the position.
>You're assessment... isn't inaccurate. I've certainly broken with my own superiors in the past.
>You followed your own orders. I think Rurichiyo's mature enough to see it that way.

Veraga Prime was nearly as busy, if not more in certain districts, during the night as the day. The air was filled with a damp mist from an earlier storm and the cacophony of the starport as hovercraft rumbled and raced overhead, a siren wailing somewhere in the distance, the occasional crack of a gunshot or snap of a blaster ringing out. Laughter and cheering leaking out of bars and entertainment dens with broadcasts and gambling covering events from a thousand worlds. Lights from countless advertisements provide better illumination than the flickering lamp-posts that lined the walk-ways that wound through the towering megastructures. Highways for wheeled vehicles twist through the city like veins of some gargantuan organism, an always moving stream of vehicles ferrying bodies and goods from one point to another.

The lights from shuttles and freighters rising and falling through the atmosphere shining like beacons. Many swarm around the various docking pylons that rose up like colossal trees whose branches supported sub-capitals, looking very much like glowing insects from a distance. It was one of these pylons that the smugglers dispatched from Horizon's Drop made their way toward.

"Okay, my contact said the first of our ships are located in..." Clud pauses to glance at the datapad in his hand as the automated taxi rolled down a busy highway, "Dock 56, should be about midway up. Three freighters waiting."

The handful of crew and Legionnaires with him in the taxi nod, the message relaying through their collective Control Worms to the others in the other taxi following them. Several flinch as Eigha's voice sounds in their heads, still not used to the literally intrusive thoughts, <We should not take too long with this. I've seen the same pair of aircars tailing us the last few blocks> she says as she looks out the window of the rear taxi, its window foggy.

Buran, a densely muscled epikor woman wearing a visor to shield her light-sensitive eyes, peered through the window and gave a nod, her mental voice ringing out through the others, <If they're a threat, we'll deal with them when the time comes,> she says while checking the firing mechanism of her pirate traded pulse-rifle, the other Legionnaires doing the same.

Clud sends a private thought to Eigha, the netu adapting quicker to the subtleties of telepathic communication than the others, <Buddy is going to be glad he missed out if this turns sideways.>

Eigha gave a nod even though he couldn't see the gesture, <Probably. Still, we have a job to do, ordered by Jadyk himself and I plan to make him proud.>

<You almost sound like a Legionnaire>

The vorh scoffs, drawing a look from the human across from her, <After that announcement, being one doesn't seem so bad now>

There was a delay before he replies, <You might be right...> before turning to checking over his own gear as the pylon loomed closer against the skyline.

Seated in the Charnel vault you oversee the movement of fleets, moving them in preparation for the Ahkam invasion. There was much to do and tend to still.

After the announcement and reveal of the Immortals the Legionnaires return to their tasks, spread out across the sector and beyond. In Iti'a'Ropku and Vyi'a'Rthun, however, there was an almost immediate sense of celebration among the Legionnaires on leave and the citizens that had been present. Their jovial mood was questioned by their Pirate and Armatocere guests but they kept the news silent, just turning their attention to the festivities of gambling and narcotics.

It had only been a few hours of relative time but there were sudden alerts of approaching gravity wells to Horizon's Drop and moments later in Bastion. The battle alerts fade after the Eyegores confirm the gravity wells as the arrival of several Treeships in both systems, the capital sized craft appearing at first as an impossibly stretched object that snaps into fullness at a sickening speed on the outskirts of the systems before accelerating forward with sub-light engines.

A message is sent from a Treeship slightly larger than one of your own battleships, its rough hull scarred from battles past. An equally scarred Cacti appears on the screen, a mechanized voicebox similar to Sapling Slrrts embedded into the armor that appeared bolted to its form emitting a synthetic voice, "I am Warleader Caecet. It is a privilege to lend assistance to our allies. We will follow your commands when the battle comes. May your roots drink the waters and blood of your foes." The message was brief but to the point, much like many of the cacti your Reconstructed or servants had interacted with.

Beqor and Raakah continue to make their plans with the other Blackscale, many of their plans heavily involving the use of their collective Knight constructs supported by zombified Sunscale. Other plots included the use of the cybernetically enhanced cyborgs they kept in storage or the release of virulent plagues. From what you gleaned in passing you began to feel pity for the Confederate laboratory they were targeting. Their message still stood, asking if you would like to involve yourself with the plots to provide guidance or to introduce yourself to this new Cabal.

Through the sub-space communications relay an urgent message from the Dagger Clan on Myrshyn arrives, stating that they request a line of communication regarding a new undead outbreak potentially related to the Refuge Crisis. The message appears to have originated from Dagger Lord Erex themself.

What shall you tend to first?

House Yvaront is sworn to House Frey. Currently Yvaront is weak, only a modest amount of land, and the only knightly swords loyal to Yvaront being three sons and their father. Not that the Yvaront household has excelled much higher than it’s current status since it’s formation. But in many ways they have never been lower with nowhere to go but up. The year is 285AC, two years after Robert’s Rebellion. It’s been one year since the last Lord Yvaront died.

House Yvaront is family of nobles and knights in the stories of the ASOIAF. Set in the Riverlands as an ambitious and old house that must forge their way into greatness and the histories of Westeros. And they have been given the chance in the years following rebellion.

The Seven Seafarers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lzl1KEI2-dU

The ridge of Soldier pines behind Andras’ troop were outlined by the bright blue-gray sky.
“An hour’s walk to the Rayne Tower from here.” Franklyn said walking his horse to the left of where Andras was mounted on Triumph looking down to the fishing village called Cess.
A dozen thatched buildings huddled at the shore of the Bite, four docks and a little inn. “And then the watchman must ride another league to Fyre More.” Dalton said reigning up to the right he looked across his elder brother to his twin and smiled. “You think they’ll be get here in time to see us off?” Andras snickered with his younger brothers and adjust the sword belt at his waist. “We’ll have finished at that point.”

They had been in the lands of House Fyre since before dawn. Moving from farm to farm collecting taxes and farm yield from Fyre peasants. Andras was even able to convince the farmers to carry the harvest for them to Coop back in Yvaront land. The biggest objection after Andras talked to them was that he usually “-gave milady Fyre’s men me barley crop. ” They just took both the barley and the onions.

Ardras wheeled around to where his group of four and thirty Yvaront smallfolk stood. He had helped train the lot with his father and brothers back home and arm them each with fire-hardened spears, and crude shields of woven branches. Seven men mounted on rounseys and in oddments of rusted mail and helm from the Yvaront armory and carrying long axes and boar spears. Andras was faithful that the people in Cess wouldn’t put up much resistance, but a show of power went a long way he was told.

A question of “How is everyone” brought a few replies of “Good Ser.” and “Ready to fight, Ser Andras.” and a “Fine, Lord Andras. I never been to Cess before!” from Bowen.

“Good, good. Let’s get this done.” What his twin brothers had said did give Andras some pause, the trails and roads between here and the Fyre household were many, twisting and hilly, it would take them a while to get here. But they posed a problem as well. A incoming force could take any number of those and then they’d be right on top of us.

“Dake!”

Dice odds for best of 3: http://pastebin.com/994WTT3g

General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics involve three rolls of 1d100, taking the best, and using the base accuracy and crit ranges of the the PTU system, roughly, but the 'turn order' will be more like the anime, where sometimes you can do a few moves in a row or be hit by a combo of moves yourself, all depending on circumstances. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves and also may leave you open to an interrupt, so beware of that timing. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first.

Pokemon and trainers are unique, and may have certain specializations, skills, or other things that the video-game mechanics might not allow. Some examples: That kung fu Bellsprout in the anime, that crystal Onix, or a Roggenrolla that can fly. Herb's perception skills, pokemon knowledge, context clues in general, and other things will hopefully come into play to avoid completely unfair, unforeseeable bullshit, but expect more bullshit from more advanced trainers.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture, mostly likely a butt.

Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Roselia)

You know how it goes by now, pick a race

>Orc- Tribal warlike and living in the southern plains, orcs are tough and strong, having little magical ability, they can be quite inventive when it comes to warfare

>Giants- Standing twice the height of a man, the tusked giants live in secluded areas away from civilisation, they are a nomadic species and also have little technological or magical ability

>Undead- Being a composite group of a living human kingdom, Necromancer and Vampires (as well as other creatures roaming the lands) the undead are magically proficient and spread fast, but on average and slow and technologically weak

>Mere- Water dwelling serpentine like race, they are fast in the water and can use rivers to delve deep into enemy kingdoms, females are magically proficient

>Skagir- Digitgrade legged, grey skinned creatures, they are able to drink salt water and because of this often have a coastal based society, they are fast but somewhat flimsy

>Dryads- Small, nimble and very strong magically, the Dryads have no genders, they have awful tech but are capable of utilising their forests or marshes to the fullest and don't take kindly to intruders.

You’re woken up by the sharp pain of someone kicking you in the ribs. It’s not hard enough to do any real damage, but it gets the same message you’ve gotten for the last few weeks across rather well.

“-up… oan” A fair voice joins the pain, growing clearer as another kick hits you, “Get up! Stupid Gaijin-Joan…”

You finally come to full lucidity, to the glaring visage of your employer. You say employer, but you’re neither wanted nor getting paid. Still you’re getting a free ride out of all of this, so you don’t flip him off like you’d like to, and instead get up to address him.

“What” Your voice, normally coarse and rough, comes out in a near growl from being rudely woken up.

The man almost takes a step back, from your tone as much as the fact that you’re now towering over him. Instead, a snarl comes to his face while he opens his mouth, “Device break again! Stupid Gaijin-Joan go fix! Worthless! Loss of time costing me money! Go Go Go!”

He rudely shoves you out of the carriage, though you easily land on your feet. You briefly consider giving your ‘employer’ a piece of your mind, but the fact that he could dump you in the middle of this shit-hole tempers that instinct. Still, the asshole could at least get your name right...

What should you do?

Welcome to the session my fellow Ambassadors. I apologize for the delay in my return I have been quite busy lately. And we've been experiencing some difficulty with some of the Sslyth warlords who are against the unification of their species. I believe violence might be the only way to resolve this but I am organizing a planet to have a proxy battle on for the fate of their people and their unification. But I must apologize again for talking too much on my own matters how are you all?

Glory to Alainn! You are Cathal Rathais, one of the chosen elite, the 13th Legion, scouting a world 4231 years after your country won the Grand War and placed itself in cryostasis to allow the planet to recover.

You have assumed the false name "Ace Locke" for your hunter identity. So far, only two people have seen through it, one of which can read minds.

so far you have:
>Updated your bunker database
>registered to the Hunter's guild (and flirted with the receptionist)
>Recruited Pisteia, the Mercenary Princess (Knight)
>Completed Nissa Estalise's quest
>Eliminated a raider stronghold
>Taken control of Outpost Charlie and looted it.
>Repaired a Raider buggy
>Repaired the lift to the outpost garage
>Secured an Otharthurian Outrider
>Secured a Patrol tank
>Met with the Archivum
>Got a lot of money
>Went to Lethbridge
>Discovered and recruited fellow 13th legion soldier Almeda Irnan (Adriana Hammer)
>Acquired quest from Captain Hendrick to obtain his ship.
>Entered the Ruined Ollamic City of Kantrel
>Secured an Ollamic luxury floatcar
>Looted the underground city of Kantrel
>Secured Terminal 48 and renamed her Artoria.
>Obtained a large cargo ship
>Repaired the tank, moved vehicles to ship.
>Recruited a mercenary dragon hunter temporarily
>You slew a blood dragon
>you obtained a plot of land and are building a rather large palace and homes atop it.
>You traveled to Inisvale in Inis Duchy
>You recruited Clark Howard Thule, conduit of forgotten gods.
>You observed the strange soldiers occupying Depot Sierra

The following is information you have collected:
>The Archivum is a worldwide network of academic nature that is studying the ruins of the past. They pay well for artifacts.
>Nissa went to Lethbridge to return to Korlanis
>the 14th legion turned on Alainn and are now the raiders
>the raiders are under the orders of a general
>There is a city called 'Korlanis' Where Nissa came from.
>If you bring your Archivum crest and a signet from a duke, the Archivum will give you something impressive for them.
>Inis Duchy is under the control of Alexander Garvelton and Garvelton Industries, which is spreading dark magic.
>Kantrel fell apart underground due elitism and pale horrors lurking in the underground sea
>Ollam used humans as nodes of their data network
>The blood dragon is expanding territory
>A very prolific Archivum archaeologist might have an idea about who you are.
>Clark was present during the disaster of Otharthur that led to the ban of magic.
>Garvelton draws power form magical anchors in Inis Duchy.
>An Anomaly in Inis forest is producing strange things.
>The shadows in Inis are dangerous
>Pisteia is a princess
>Clark can read people's minds

You ask Clark how exactly you should proceed to deal with the anchors.

"Alexander would have hidden the anchors in various places. I know there is one in Crone's Way tavern. I know there is another one in Inisvale and Havelsberg. He's been to lethbridge, but given the current buildup, I think it's still coming from Havelsberg." He ponders a bit, "Depot Sierra is unlikely to have it, but Graggen possibly has one. If he was aware of the anomaly, then odds are he might have put an anchor there too. In fact, I'd bet on it."

"How do we destroy the anchors?" Pisteia asks.

"You smash them. Simple as that. Your sword would be the best option." He replies, indicating Pisteia."

>Go to Crone's way
>Go to Anomaly

Welcome to A Song of Silver & Sword: House Grallner Quest. Here we will follow the journey of Ser Landon Grallner, the Knight of Whitestone Keep sworn to House Belmore of Strong Song. The year is 288AC, winter is at its peak in the Vale, and the coffers of House Grallner grow thin as does its food supply. The smallfolk find themselves restless, the Mountain Clans grow bolder, and the shadows of the Mountains of the Moon loom large.

Prayers do not fall upon deaf ears, they find succor upon the mind of Ser Landon Grallner. With sword in hand and Faith as his shield, he rouses himself to the challenge.

House Grallner Quest uses the SIFRP rules as dictated by the A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying, A Game of Thrones Edition. In addition to a handful of homebrew rules common to these quests. A .pdf dump is below for those interested in the complete ruleset.

“By the Father I invoke wisdom and guidance in these times of struggle and uncertainty. By the Warrior I invoke courage and the strength to face my challenges head long, as I would battle. By the Mother…” your voice trails, hand continues at task, ears perk to the unlatching of the wooden door behind you and the sound of footsteps, a cold breeze reaches the back of your neck before the words.

“Ser-”

“We have spoken of this Maffew.”

“Yes, Ser. I… I am aware,” the man hesitates for a moment, mouth lipping words without sound, “Morning prayer is of the utmost importance and is not to be disturbed. However, I thought it prudent that you should be made aware that the Belmore arms have been sighted down river. Ser Trevor has been sent to the docks to welcome them. I thought such…”

“An unexpected visit,” you murmur to yourself. Not so much completing Maffew Shett’s sentence as continuing your prayers. Hands complete task upon your breastplate, the final piece of armour you had yet to don during your morning ritual. Wake, take morning prayer, polish and care for your plate, sharpened your sword, and arm yourself for the day with iron and Faith. You sigh and cast eyes to the side toward the small wooden shrine dedicated to the Seven, “Seven I ask for your deliverance through these trials, both new and old. Amen.”

“Amen,” Maffew echoes, eyes upon his feet.

You rise to your feet, finishing the task of straps and buckles that secure your plate to your chest, “The Belmores sent no word?”

“Not anymore than they usually do these days,” Maffew responds, “I very much doubt it is Lord Benedar himself.”

“What makes you say that?” you respond with a flat look, not quite have grasped the entirety of the situation yourself.

“Word had… Spread that Ser Cador Belmore was going on tour of the Vale. Far be it from me to question a Lordling taking to ship and road during the dead of winter but alas. I thought it a simple thing of meeting Ladies of the realm, he is yet unmarried from what I understand.”

You wave a hand as you leave the makeshift Sept set within Whitestone’s garden, the grounds were barren of people, a few scattered guards were all that remained, it was quite, far quieter than your youth here. Soft snow fell upon your shoulders, the metal of your plate made the serene day seem that much colder however. Maffew closes and latches the door behind him and joins your walk across the courtyard.

“You did not think this worthy of my attention?” you ask.

“Frankly… No my Lord,” Maffew responds with a screwed up face, the tip of his nose growing red from the cold, “Your only sister is married to that dolt, Ser Dumas in Gulltown. And there are no Ladies of worth here in the Whitestone. Aside from…”

“We will not speak of her.”

“Of course Ser.”
>>
You pause, face screwing up and words failing your tongue, “I… I don’t even know where to receive him? Should I ride out with Ser Trevor? Meet him upon the docks?”

“That is Trevor’s task Ser,” Maffew says pulling his cloak closer to himself, “You are the Knight of Whitestone Keep now, you may receive him in your hall, upon your seat surrounded by your loyal men and Household, as is befitting a man of your station.”

“My station,” you scoff under your breath, “I am still but a Knight, Maffew, a Knight in service to my Lord, as is my duty.”

Maffew sighs, the elder man having far more of an opinion of your title and what it entitled you than you did. As was his way, son of a far flung cousin of House Shett, he could only dream of such things and as such he projected his manner and desires upon you more often than not. Much to your continued annoyance. The man looks about the courtyard as you stand in silence, perhaps thought, “Ser? May we go inside, I fear the loss of another toe should I stand out here any longer.”

>”You go ahead Maffew, prepare the hall, assemble the Household. I will ride out to meet the Belmores with Ser Trevor.” (Ride out to meet Belmore)
>”Yes, send word to the Household we will be receiving an envoy of House Belmore and to assemble in the Hall. You will meet me there within the hour.” (Wait and receive Belmore in your hall)

We are Lord of our Keep, we will meet him in the keep.

Seems weird he didn't send word before. REAL STRANGE.

We start this new session with the beginning of a mysterious confrontation with a group of astartes, riding aboard a damaged Astartes Strike Cruiser, bearing markings of the Crusaders of Dorn chapter, who have been labeled Excommunicate Traitoris....

Meanwhile on the Surface of Tarkon IV, discontent is beginning to rise as the just short of 2 million refugees have arrived and being escorted from detention areas to specialized vetting facilities, with a required sit-down appointment with a Planetary Government official, who brings out their personnel file and asks them sensitive security questions about political affiliations(if any), religious interests, and to declare their faith in the God-Emperor, with some plebians being remarkably trusting of government bureaucrats, awe struck by simply interacting with an individual from a upper middle class directly addressing plebians and the common citizens of the Imperium...

You also ordered the further detainment and questioning of "suspicious individuals" a possible misstep as you were lacking sleep at the time....

This has resulted in your officials believing that this gives them a free-hand in using the more in depth security measures, which may result in slightly more effective security results but antagonize the refugees and increase the hostility and paranoia of our security forces...

Unfortunately our processes haven't been perfect and several moderately organized cells of heretics have made it past our inspectors, even after several of them received extra vetting, still making it through the process, meaning that are agents are disloyal or incompetent, it could also mean that these infiltrators may have been able to fool common security procedures, through a degree of skill and training to do such things....

In addition due to some of the more harsh measures implemented some of the commoners have formed Citizen's Councils, apparently something the commoners came up with during their 6 month stay on the cargo ship stuffed with refugees....

They permit their people, deemed fit adults, to vote on who should rule them, electing individuals to a council of varying numbers, depending on the size of the population they rule, the largest being almost 200,000 people, the former governmental body, previously ruling nearly all the refugees on one of the smaller freighters....

They demand home rule rights, and the right to settle as separate town... far from other populated areas, in a favorable settlement location, their home rule rights include the right to elect their own local rulers and exempt from conscription, with their direct taxes paid to you doubled....

You will have to wait to make these decisions, as the Astartes shuttle, begins docking on the station, its boarding clamps activating as the telltale machinery noises, moving several servo arms and the sudden dulling of noise from the airlock chamber when a seal is created....

Through the tiny glass porthole, you can see White armor, offset by yellow, and a helmeted Astartes looking through it.....

It finally opens and the 3 of the mysterious Astartes, they introducing themselves as the Crusaders of Dorn, Sergeant Corrigan McKinley, Librarian Carson Brannock and Chaplain Arlen Donnelly

They claim that they were betrayed into invading the warp, and were left to die there by the Imperium....

They have been travelling for nearly 6 months, after initially invading several demonic worlds along with the forces of another chapter, the Graven Fists, they managed to cleanse half a dozen worlds before being intercepted by a small chaos fleet, the Librarian telling you that there was a frenzy in the warp as the various factions of chaos rushed to take in their share of new Astartes devotees, Astartes being one of the prized assets of an chaotic warband or faction, with small fleets prowling for weakened Astartes chapter fleets and individual lost ships, slowly destroying or disabling the Astartes ships, with several Ultramarines successors gathering their forces, and inviting other chapters to join their "Abyssal legion"
the legion was challenging a large chaos fleet, when the Crusaders of Dorn and their cousins were intercepted attempting to join the fleet, despite their reservations about the Ultramarines....

Unfortunately the Crusade fleet was defeated and scattered to the warp, leaving the sons of Dorn to have to fend for themselves.

They shortly afterword encountered 2 separate chaos fleets, including a twisted fleet of Imperial hulks, barely operational ships fitted out with lots of weapons and little armor, functioning as inexpensive chaos arsenal ships....

From another side approached the 2 Slaaneshii warships, the Battlecruiser and the Calidora, an ancient Battle Barge, attempting to capitalize on the easy prey.

They ripped through the fleets escorts and several cruisers

It only took a few minutes battle for the Fleet commander to call a general retreat, falling back to a preplanned position....

Unfortunately a Chapter transport and 2 Strike Cruisers were all that remained of the combined chapter fleets, given the Strike Cruisers small speed advantage over the Chaos forces, the Astartes decided to load up as many of their brothers as possible on to the least damaged Strike Cruiser, sending it away while the the other 2 ships create a distraction...

Crammed, along with the Chaplain and Librarian ,74 Battle-brothers, 12 scouts, in various levels of training and progession and an additional tactical squad of 8 Astartes from the Graven Fists, the only survivors of their chapter, a Squad Sergeant serving as Chapter Master for the grim survivors of their once proud chapter....

They managed to travel for nearly 6 months, constantly being pursued by Chaos vessels, until they spotted an opening in the warp, and approached it towards your world.....
