The three of you do as you're told, and take seats in the three chairs in front of the General's desk.

"Winry has already met him, but as for you two, this is Major Miles." Armstrong motions to the tanned man wearing goggles. "He is my second up here at Northern Command. He and Buccaneer will be present here during our conversation."

Miles nods at the two of you.

"Now, those Elric brothers were able to slip away without telling me everything I wanted to know." the General goes on. "I don't like it. They said they were just heading after Scar to get information on his transmutation technique, but I don't buy it. As soon as Kimblee and his men came into the picture, I could tell there was something more going on. This time, I'm not dropping the matter until I know the truth."

>A.Begin by introducing yourselves properly

>B.Ask if she knows what's become of the Elric brothers, Scar, or Kimblee

>C.Reveal the entire plot to the General. You can trust her, it's Armstrong's sister

>D.Only reveal certain things (Write-in)

>E.Tell the General that you'd prefer if certain people weren't present for this

>F.Tell her there's nothing going on

Born as a commoner, fate had much in store for the young Jean Capet, as his Lord, Jandant de Labendai took him in as his squire.
Years later, Lord de Labendai died without heirs, raising Jean to the rank of a Lord with his last breath.
However, the realm had fallen on hard times after two years of sickness that had befallen Lord Jandant de Labendai.
Still, there was hope. Jean took up the name and title of Lord Jean de Labendai, first of his name. In only a few months, he has proven a prodigy at ruling his lands, restoring what was left of them to peace and order, making many friends, but also a few opponents along the way.

It is night and you are feeling tired, having returned from a hunt just moments ago. Still, there is no time to rest, as the massive amounts of meat you brought back have to be preserved for the soon to come winter.
Antoine, your head cook heads towards the servants' quarters. Most of the cooks should already be in bed, so you hope they won't be in too much of a bad mood.
It only takes a few minutes until Antoine returns, a total of six other cooks and servants following him. They seem tired, but their mood is better than you expected.
>Good evening, all of you. I'm sorry that I had to call upon you at this time, but there's a good amount of meat that has to be preserved.
They nod understandingly and look at all the pheasants and boars you brought back.
>I can't say I wouldn't like to sleep, but I surely can understand your reason, Mylord. Don't worry about it.
one of the cooks tells you. You give him a thankful smile and grab yourself a knife to start carving up the massive boars.
After you got some meat out of it, you take it aside and prepare a quick dinner for the men who missed dinner time while they were out hunting.
Afterwards, you spend the night working on preserving the meat. Everything is working out fine and the reserves grow by quite a bit.
>This is very good news, Mylord. During the winter, we won't have to worry about food at all. Maybe it might even last until summer. Or harvest.
The last part might be an overestimation on Antoine's part, but still this will help you quite a bit.
Also, you feel like you made even more progress in your cooking abilities.
[Your cooking ability is 79/100 at the moment. Roll me three instances of 1d10 for your learning success.]

>Lost to the world, those that refused to yield to the darkness...

You awaken in a haze, feeling altogether out of place in your own body. Maybe this is a dream, only some few faint lights scattered around separating you from utter dark. A closer inspection, once the blur of your vision fades, reveals the dim lights to be portions of plants or trees. An extensive forest, you think. The closest light though, is a glowing flower resting in your hand. Such a small thing, but with a light of confidence and an ever so soft chiming with any significant movement, you swear.

You inspect the flower, a delicate thing the likes of which you've never seen before. Apart from the glow and soft sound though it doesn't appear to be drastically different from any other flower, though in some strange way it is comforting to you. To the touch, and held close, but as well for the faint light it gives in the otherwise total darkness.

And so holding onto it, you rise unsteadily to your feet and explore your surroundings. Through the dark it is difficult to see, and though the flower offers some reprieve, it is treacherous going you find, falling over a few times at first to unsteady ground or low roots. Eventually learning a lesson, you have to move slow and with the light source held low to the ground.

Part 9 – Session 1

[X] More teasing, see if you can make Kteine lose her temper.
[X] Allow Kteine to discipline Yu.
[X] Write in? Tormenting Yustuoc is almost as fun as teaching Kteine about the niceties of discipline.

Kneeling next to the slender near-childer Kteine, your acolyte not merely in the ways of being a gish but also in the ways of Those-Whom-Follow-The-Savior-Gith, you look up at your half-orc slave with a blankness that she should recognize as you being more than tolerant. The woman has been in your employ as an armorer and whipping-woman for almost a century-and-a-half, and yet she still pushes certain boundaries she should know better than to push.

Kteine, the young psychic whom your oath-bound warrior Falna has turned over to you for a deeper education than anyone else might be willing or capable of giving her, was annoyed by your slave's previous remark, but not by her dismissive attitude. Kteine was once a slave, so undoubtedly she is perfectly aware of the etiquette of slaves. Her first request to discipline Yustuoc was merely to establish herself as dominant. Kteine's irritation at the attempted insult concerning her as assisting you with your armor being beneath her was nothing compared to annoyance at the suggestion you were sleeping with her.

This latter you suspect is a result of her discovering that a mated pair or grouping of githyanki do not have sex outside their group. Not even Her Majesty can force githyanki mates to have sex outside their bonds without inciting instinctive and often violent reactions from their mates. It is nearly impossible to convince mated githyanki that they should be aroused by something. Falna and Schechei are truly mated, but Kteine possessed of a mind that is not githyanki despite her body and brain being so, would not fare well through a mating ceremony despite the bonds it would forge.

Pain combined with sex so violent it is nothing less than physical abuse would change the mind of anyone whom was not githyanki themselves.

You idly wonder if the same applies to githzerai.

Kteine retreated to your cell for comfort and companionship, and most likely advice on the matter. What she has been treated to instead is the presence of an insulting, arrogant, powerfully built slave with very bad attitude. Part of it is that you have never really bothered to disabuse Yustuoc of the notion that she is in a version of her people's hell. The other part – and this I what you find amusing – is that she is a lesbian from a society where such affairs were not merely taboo but unthinkable. As a result any sexual pleasure you take in her must be forced on her, and you are constantly amazed at how well she convinces herself she didn't really enjoy being tied up and raped.

She's managed to do so to the point where her attitude and disdain have become a kind of request for your affections. You're not entirely sure yet if that is actually the case, or if she honestly believes her attitude is not an externalized desire for sexual release. Considering she's lived at least twice as long as she should have if she were in the material plane, you are of the opinion she would have admitted that she enjoys and desires other women by now, at least to herself. Seemingly she hasn't, and now she is aggravating an already annoyed warrior.

The trick is making Kteine lose her temper, as a githyanki should.

“I take it that things did not go as you ha hoped with Falna and Schechei,” you murmur softly leaning closer to the still clothed gish. Sliding your hand up her back, you reach soft skin where the low-necked cloth-of-gold is gathered and sweep down from her shoulders. She stiffens slightly, her muscles tensing under your rather gentle caress. And it is most certainly a caress.

The caress performs its double duty admirably. It makes Kteine uncomfortably aware of how naked you are and how close you are, and it makes Yustuoc snort derisively at the open display of seduction. That makes the girl's shoulders bunch up and her hands clench along her thighs, her expression twitching as she resists the urge to bare her spurs instinctively at the perceived insult.

[] A little more teasing on both parts now.
[] Honestly, actually seduce the pretty githyanki out from under Falna.
[] Ask her to tell you about what happened.
[] Give Yustuoc a warning glance, see if she takes the hint or runs with it.
[] Write in?

> Year of Jormund’s High Council: 0003

It had been a harsh winter that year, bitterly cold and filled with rain. It was the sort of weather that bit straight down to the bone, and even the adventurers of Andheim weren’t fools enough to be caught out in its midst without good reason. The streets were often empty, even come the solstice, the wind the only thing left howling through the silence, and even the grand dungeon that had given the town its namesake, an ever-renewing font of precious resources, saw its halls empty as snow piled around its doors.

Consider then, the bitter fate of those with no home to call their own, a small form huddled in the sagging remains of a cardboard box as rain hammers down in waves. Shaking, it clutches a damp blanket to itself for the illusion of warmth, praying for the sun to come or for food to fill its empty belly. In the end, however, its pitiful mewls find nothing but the wind as it drifts into uneasy dreams.

--

“Now, what’s this then?” Perhaps the wind found a pair of ears to hear the message as a voice echoes from outside the box, large hands carelessly ripping through the last barrier against the cold to reveal the feline form huddled within. “A cat, is it then? Well, now, that ain’t no place for yer kind. Come along now, and Gilly’ll find ye a nice saucer and a place by the fire, he will.”

A face thick with whiskers twitches worriedly as the form gives no response, muttering indistinctly to himself as he reaches inside and wraps his hands around the now-destroyed box’s occupant.

“Now don’t ye go bitin’ Gilly, now,” the man warns as he pulls the cat, blanket and all from its hiding place. “Ye’ll not be havin’ any dinner otherwise.”

His expression changes rather dramatically as despite his best efforts, the blanket falls by the wayside, caught by something he can’t see. What he can see now, however, is a child’s face staring back into his own, a pair of cat like ears sitting atop its head and a cat-like tail dangling below as it shivers in the cold.

“So half a kid and half a cat, is it?” Gilly asks, perhaps more to himself than the infant. “Well, that won’t make no difference. Gilly’s got a warm coat pocket and a warm fire to go home to, he does. Ye’ll share it with him, won’t ya, and we’ll see to puttin’ you up someplace else in the morn.”

--

With no objections forthcoming, so it came to pass that the town blacksmith took in an unlikely visitor that night from death’s door. And good to his word, there was warm fire, milk, and food aplenty for the tired refugee. In fact, there was only one thing in which the old man fell short on his promises, and that was in finding the child a new home the next day. Instead he simply found the town tailor and commissioned a set of clothes fit for a child.

Ol’ Gilly gave her a name before long after that, and though the snow melted in the spring, the child stayed. Until the next winter fell, and the next, until she was a woman grown, the man looked after her, teaching her everything he could while respecting her tendency to catch fire near open flame. A shopkeeper in such a town would need cunning, after all, foresight, self-confidence, and ingenuity. And he hadn’t rescued this girl to leave her to a life of poverty when all was said and done.

No, The Cat and Canary would need a new shop keep someday, and he had done nothing short of his best to sculpt the hands that would carry it onward. That is, until the day finally came for her first test…

--

“Now don’t burn her down while I’m gone,” Gilly chuckles, placing the keys in Felicity’s hand with a huge, gnarled fist.

“Yes sir!” she responds with vigor, tail straightening.

“That’s the spirit! Not that ya need to worry much. Ol’ Gilly’s squirreled away 10,000 alms to keep ya till he’s back. His little girl’s gone and made herself a mage, she has, and Ol’ Gilly’s keen to see it hisself, but if ya budget, ye’ll not be high and dry till four months passed.”

With a laugh and a hug, the old man had then been on his way, huge bag slung over his shoulders and a merry tune on his lips as he’d practically skipped for the stables.

All the while, Felicity’s heart had been skipping to its own number as well. Finally, a chance to put everything she’d learned to work, to prove to Gil that he had made the right decision. She had plenty of money, plenty of reserve stock! She was going to greet her adoptive father with a pile of gold when he came back!

However, the best laid plans of mice and men (and cats) can’t account for the whimsy of nobles, it seems. Not two weeks later, she’d woken to find a note on her door in the flowing script of the local magistrate:

“Attention to all places of business:
In the name of Baroness Morgan and her husband Baron Peasley, it is my duty to inform you that war is imminent upon our land. And in as much as is our duty and yours to…”

Etc. Etc. She hardly read the rest of it as she paced down the lines of needless pageantry. What really mattered was the conclusion.

“-an amount totaling no less than a twentieth-fourth of your previously yearly income, in the case of the Cat and Canary, five thousand gold before month’s end.

Sincerely,

The Local Crier”

And like that, all of her plans had gone up in flames, all because some ponce of a baron had decided to pick a war to the east.

[“It’s okay, Felicity. You can salvage this. All you need to do is accrue some new stock and-“]

As if in answer to her prayers, the bell on the door rang out a clangorous note, a traveler stepping in in a well-worn cloak before laying out his daily finds for appraisal. An unremarkable sword, a battered shield, a few bent, semiprecious arrows, and a ring.

“I’ll take whatever you’ll offer,” he assured her, perhaps a bit too eagerly. “Ring might be magic; it might not. I just need to get out of town… quickly.”

Twenty gold later, and a pile of trash is hers to own, the gentleman already on his way. Now all she had to do was… when did the ring get on her finger.

Shinobi Quest #56

This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event.

(It’s a goddamn Naruto Quest, you bastards. Have fun, participate, and write in when you feel inclined. Most of the outcomes of this quest will be determined by you, the players. Critiques and questions are always welcome, as my knowledge of the weeby shit is not all encompassing.)

Last thread, Tsuki Norihime met with the Matriarch of the Aburame Clan, Kogoto, to broker an agreement between her clan and the reformed ROOT. After a discussion on the ethics of power and the nature of failure, Tsuki felt reinvigorated- her path forward seeming just a little more clear than it had before. After reporting her successes and teasing your elderly mentor Danzo Shimura, Tsuki returned to the Hyuga Compound to rest.

Her routine continued into the next day- after her hospital visit, Tsuki decided to begin tackling the promises she had made- first, with the Four Great Spirits, who had helped her out during the attack on Konoha. The nature of the meeting was unclear at first, until the spirits clarified- they objected to Tsuki’s associations with Kaguya, decrying her as a usurper, a demon, and a devourer of worlds...

“You call her a demon- a monster- a “Devourer of Worlds”. What exactly do you mean by that?” you question.

Kaguya Otsutsuki. One of several of species- one that long ago began to subsist themselves off of the fruit of the Tree of Life. Many such places exist- fewer, now. These trees are the source of life- and rarely, these sacred trees produce fruit. For mortal beings, this fruit imparts great power- and is the source of the chakra you humans are able to wield. However, the Otsutsuki were able to induce the creation of these fruits outside of the natural cycle- this abuse eventually drained their home planet of all life except for themselves. Like a plague of locusts, they spread throughout creation, searching for more trees- to gorge on the fruit that sustains them. Kaguya is one of these beings, Tsuki. A parasitic creature that would drain our planet of life to sate her own desires.

“She's from another world? A creature that consumes the life essence of an entire planet to sustain themselves? If I’m being honest… Seiryuu- this all seems a little far fetched to me.” You question.

It doesn’t matter if you believe us or not- She has already consumed the fruit of the Tree of Life once before. As she will readily admit- it is the source of her powers. Why would one such as her come here if that was not her original intention?

“She consumed it to defend herself!” You exclaim.

She would consume the life energy of an entire planet just to defend herself? Sure her residual powers would suffice- especially against humans who could not even utilize chakra.

Suzaku seems intent on driving this point home.

Her reasons do not matter- and more importantly, what will do when her power wanes? Those with power seldom give it up willingly, Tsuki.

These spirits… don’t seem like they are lying. Although the story is very odd, certain points match up with what Kaguya explained- and even before that, what Dr. Kasugi had explained about the tree motifs found across the world in various ancient sites.

The Tree of Life existed- and it doesn’t now.

Your starship is old, yet (mostly) reliable, and you must take on jobs in order to bring in enough cash to keep it flying. You grumble, leaning against the wall. Some time ago, Dr. Sofia had run tests on you, extracted blood, and knocked you out. When you had awoken again, you found that you weren’t chained to the wall anymore. In fact, they had moved you to a different room entirely. You wish they would’ve at least let you keep your dress blues, but when you woke up, you were dressed in what looked like light blue scrubs.

You now sit in a dark cell with concrete floors and walls. Earlier, you tried the door, to no avail, and you spent a good deal of time since then pacing around. You’d gotten tired after what felt like hours, so you decided to plant yourself where you currently sit.

Your mind goes back to that dream you had. Was it just a dream, or had you actually spoken to some sort of… Outside entity? You shake your head, shifting your thoughts to your crew. If what Sofia said to you is correct, they’re probably looking all over the city for you, and for an imaginary car that Sofia told them you got into.

You swear to yourself as you think of any possible way to escape. There are no windows in this cell, a single steel door, and a vent on the ceiling with a small light next to it. The ceiling itself is about twelve feet high, likely intentionally out of reach to keep prisoners from even attempting to reach the vent.

There is a sound of metal sliding across metal behind the door, and it opens slowly to reveal Maria Sofia and her meek-looking assistant, both wearing labcoats. She grins smugly at you as you merely glare at her. You would’ve made a move to attack her by now, but the assistant is carrying a pump shotgun, and she looks nervous enough to use it if you try something.

“I see you’ve adjusted well to your accommodations,” the Doctor says with a giggle. She then gets serious, narrowing her eyes at you. “Stand. Now.” Your eyes go wide as your legs move on their own. Your body moves swiftly, beyond your control, and you find yourself in a standing position. Sofia frowns at you, sighing. “No, no. That won’t do.” She crosses her arms. “You’re a soldier, stand at attention.”

Your body complies again as you snap to attention perfectly. You openly scowl at her as she giggles again. You briefly glance at the assistant, who looks away when your eyes meet. You then look back at Sofia. “So did you come here just to use me as a glorified puppet? Seems like a waste of everyone’s time.”

Sofia’s smile vanishes as she narrows her eyes at you, leaning forward. “Hardly. As much fun as it is to have you play the pet dog, we have much work to do.” She turns around. “Follow. And don’t forget to close the door behind you. We’re heading to the R&D Lab.” She looks back at you with a raised eyebrow. “Oh, and feel free to make conversation. I do enjoy a good chat.”

You begin following her as she and her assistant leave the cell. You close the door behind you, making sure to catch a glimpse of the lock before you return to your position between Sofia and her assistant. It would seem that you still have control of your head, even when she’s commanding your body. The three of you begin walking down a long corridor, which looks the same as the inside of your cell. It is very quiet as you walk with them.

>Attempt to talk to the assistant. Perhaps you can coax her into spilling some secrets about this place.
>Attempt to talk to Dr. Sofia. At the very least, you can throw some insults her way.

Welcome to Cabin Control Quest. This is our Third ritual playing as James Fucking Henderson. A man who turned away from his rirsing superstar status in Hollywood to anually direct snuff films for the amusement of The Ancient Ones waiting to end humanity.

Recently it has been discovered that saboteurs have been trying to stop the rituals for unknown reasons. Last year's chemical outbreak and potentially the year before's intel failure being the work of your would be saboteurs. And now... something is loose.

> Continued from last thread >>1029919

"I know we are all here because we're the best. Not the Japs, nor the Germans or even the fucking Limeys can match us. We wont let them." You declare, "We've lost chem, intel and still suceeded. Now we've got a beastie at our door and we will still make it through." You sigh. "Look to the man or woman to your left. Now the right." The words resonate out throughout the facility.

Thomas turns to the man and woman he has handpicked to serve under him. Susan's squad all look to each other with trust. HARRY and Betty interlace their fingers. The stables rise in an exultative uproar as something alien attacks a speaker playing your voice.

"Trust in them. Look to yourself and trust in yourself. Lights up in thirty minutes. James Henderson, over and out." You finish and hear the click of C45513 turning off your mic. You adress the next words to her. "These bastards killed Rachel C45513. They fucked aorund inside your head and want to end the world." You spit. She hasn't seen you this angry in two years. "Find out what security are up against. Give them that intel then either come on ritual duty or find out who let it out." You run your hands through your hair before tossing an empty cofee mug towards a rare bare patch of floor. "I want their fucking heads C45513!" you order.

"ON IT" She replies snapping a serious salute.

"God Help us." You say as you settle into your chair and crack our knuckles.

"I thought you were already here." Henson says with a smile, testing what systems he still has acess to without C45513's assistance.

You stand shifting foot to foot. The dust from the draft created by the door begins to settle some collecting on your shoulders as suddenly you hear a loud sound of mystic energy and you feel your eyes burn as you stare into the swirling purple and blacks of the mystic breach. An elderly dunmer steps from the portal as it fades away.

"Hello there! You must be the new master of judgements, too flashy of a title? No? No bother, I assume you're here for our Lord, Sheogorath." He says, despite his age he talks quite rapidly.

"I am?" You say

"You are." He replies with a warm smile

"I suppose I am, I heard a call from my home and it just..drew me here." You say to the dunmer

"Be glad it was through the backdoor and not the front, how does magic differentiate between doors? How does magic work period?" He ramble before chuckling

"Excuse me, I am being quite rude. I am Venthrall Thimion. If it wouldn't be seen as too rude, I've been in this realm for many years and it tends to muddle the mind or give the mud mettle. Well, what are you..exactly?"

Approximately a hundred years ago about a million seas decided to be just one big as hole of a sea. Somewhere in this "mad sea" is a location where criminals and villains wind up so often that some clever fuck decided to build a city there. MY NAME IS LORD TILLAMOOK
I come from a land that forbids worship of multiple gods or any other than "the great one". I was touched by Anomae the god of life and Grimora the goddess of death as they fought over my soul. The event tore my soul in half. Half alive, half dead, but not truly either I see things that would haunt most. I have clerical and necromancy spells. I have two blades one black and one white. One made from a single white scale gifted to me by a dragon monk and one made from the black bars of a cage ment to hold a demon. I am no hero I simply follow other main characters

Twenty two years past, the once great enemy of the continent lost its grandest territories in the most hideous defeat in its history. The price of blood paid was such never seen before, and all hoped, would never be seen again. In a long, brutal five year war, the country of Emre declared independence from its old masters, the Grossreich of Czeiss. Armies crashed against one another, and war’s newest inventions butchered countless men for little decisive effect. In an attempt to break the deadlock, numerous inventions and innovations were made, but none of them were as effective a weapon as the passage of time. When the Reich’s lines finally broke, its people were exhausted and unhappy, the nobility demanding peace be made before the Emreans conquered their land, chasing the Reich’s armies south.

The Grossreich was a nation with an illustrious history, whose Kaisers had once held sway over near the entire continent. This defeat not only ripped away their last and greatest imperial possessions, but also wounded their pride like no event in their history before. The Kaiser who lost the Emrean War, Kaiser Pieter II Zeissenburg, committed suicide fifteen years after his greatest defeat, as the nobility and their cronies held more and more of the nation under their power, taking advantage of the misery of the people and the military to win more and more influence.

Thus Kaiser Henrik was crowned Emperor. He was young at the time, only sixteen, and the nobility thought him to be easy prey to turn into their puppet. Such hopes were dashed near immediately. Not soon after the crown was placed upon his head, Henrik Zeissenburg rounded up most of the nobility and put them in chains on trumped up charges, confiscating their property for the state and dividing their lands to the people while using their assets to fill the coffers of the state. The few nobles who remained were either great friends of the Kaiser who aided him in this plot in the first place, or so irrelevant they were only noble in name.

The people of Czeiss were shocked and overjoyed, and Henrik became a hero overnight. His next action was to reclaim territories lost in the period of weakness after the loss of the Emrean War. He personally led campaigns in the north to reclaim the Reich’s access to the northern seas, and in the process turned the armies of the Reich from defeated, hopeless worms into the terror of the world their ancestors had been more than one hundred years ago.

Such a legendary figure was both admired and feared around the world.

You are Lieutenant Richter Von Tracht, armor officer of the Archduchy of Strossvald, part time ghost hunter, and part time private investigator. To be true, you had spent a near equal amount of time wearing each cap for the short duration you had been deployed here.

You had recently infiltrated the headquarters of a local imperialist underground movement, called the Dawnseekers, and were initially on a quest to discover the extent of their meddling in local affairs, as well as the various ties to other nations they seemed to have stretching in multiple directions. However, you discovered a distressing development; the Dawnseekers had conscripted your former comrades, a battalion of tankers, to masquerade as themselves, presenting a false enemy for Lord Von Blum’s assault force ready to come here and destroy. The true villains, if this happened, would escape unscathed from the ordeal.

You had been blocked from meeting the commander of the tankers, Lieutenant Colonel Weil. There were hints of some of the captive soldiers working with the Dawnseekers, but you didn’t have a good idea of how deep it went; only that some combination of that with rough treatment and a strategy of dividing the men against each other had resulted in a force that was, for the most part, too weak willed to resist their new masters. Intending to find out from the head honcho, you had tried to meet Weil, only to be denied a meeting. Not deterred, you searched for clues elsewhere, snatching up a captive Dawnseeker who had been in a rush to leave, and breaking into a suspicious room both to search it and to hold an interrogation in.
>>
“You seem to be in quite the hurry?” you say mockingly to the captive you took, a small bookish looking man who looked the least like a soldier out of anybody you had seen of the Dawnseekers. “Care to explain where you’re going?”

“Come on,” the lanky man whined, “Just because I’m not a soldier like the rest of you doesn’t mean I don’t know the plan. We have to get out of here soon!”

“Get out of here soon?” you exaggerate your incredulity, “Is all not that it seems? What do you know about this reason to get out?”

“Of course I do!” He had become well and truly frustrated, at least, to the point he was allowed before Malachi, your tank driver newly turned personal thug, would tighten his grip for a few seconds, “I don’t want to be here when Von Blum smashes and burns everything here and slams everybody in prison! Everybody’s already left except you, me, were I not so rudely interrupted, and that half insane Emrean War fossil Luca the Cutter!” Suddenly he had a realization, “Wait…you are Imperial, right?...your accent, it’s too eastern. Like somebody from near Strosstadt. That’s not something we would have needed to train out.”

You might be able to bluff your way into a more advantageous position. This man, for whatever reason, is under the impression that you are on the same side he is.
