Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls. But a dark cloud approaches, and times are about to change. A new chapter in the tale of Dark Gate Academy is about to begin.

You awake in your barracks to a rather rude intrusion of a bolter in your mouth, the Commissar, with a disappointed smile, pulls the deadly piece of weaponry away form your face.

"Get up soldier first day on the job maggot and you already slept in, so unless you want a bolt to the ass get ready and get out. NOW!" The commissar roars the last part at you before leaving you to get dressed.

You groan once he is out of ear shot, a penal legion that is what you got thrown in because you forgot to salute a passing imperial officer who took offense to that. You still wonder if you will ever get to see your homeworld of Agripinaa again. Hell at this point you can't even remember what it looked like. But at this point you could not care less.

Now begins your life in the Imperial guard but first you need to find your gear....

Waking in the arms of a giant bird, rising together in the pale light of the early morning sun and then mutually yawning and shivering your way to the top of an ancient bastille, such things wouldn’t connect as normal in the eyes of your average person, let alone the part where you then dine in the shadow of a serpent larger than any man. But naturally, life needn’t be normal to be pleasant, and from Cici’s point of view, there were no distinctions to be drawn.

She simply smiles as the warm syrup runs over her tongue with each bite of her morning biscuit, at the fact that her adoptive sister wouldn’t need to go to work today, and the subtle tickle as her Mama runs hands through her serpentine locks.

“You’ll be molting again soon,” the gorgon mother confirms, prodding the skin of the wriggling snakelings. “I guess it’s to be expected.”

“Maybe that means I’ll get taller,” Cici says with a wide smile.

After all, that meant she could reach the high shelves at the bakery and run faster, at least if the voices were to be believed, but her mother just laughs.

“You’re growing all the time, sweetling,” she points out. “Just a little bit every day is all.”

And she supposed that would have to do for now. After all, she had plenty to do whether tall or short today, planting flowers for the bees.

I'm sore all over. Whining and biting into the ginger root Yvette got for me earlier, I stare up at the glass ceiling of our shared, and rather classy and cozy room, not really having anything else to do. I mean there's not much I can do right now is there? That fight and the sudden "growth" spurt after it kinda took a lot out of me, and I feel like shit...Well I would if I didn't have a nice tasty root to chew on. Even though it isn't making my legs feel less like jello or stopping my arms from aching like I just slapped a golem, the taste does keep my mind off of...well everything, but especially the aching. Even my stomach kind of hurts, why do I have to go through this crap again? Wasn't once enough? This is some real fucking bullshit. I growl and jam the rest of the root between my fangs, biting down on it slowly so I can juice it a bit.

Still, even if I feel like shit and probably look like shit, I don't regret anything. Especially fighting Carla. I wish I could've recorded that, it must've looked so cool. Especially that tipple suplex, I'm really proud of that one. And the look she had on her face after I slammed her into that catnip. It just makes me want to giggle, and I start to laugh, but my lungs and insides start to hurt like someone's shoved a bunch of needles in them.

I curl up in my bed, clutching my stomach as my laugh turns into a bunch of weak coughing. Well not just weak coughing, I can hear something else under it, that same roar I made right after I beat the hell out of Carla and her band of retards. But it doesn't sound much like a roar, more like a boiling water right now. God I feel like shit!

Groaning and whimpering, I try to pull my blanket over me so I can lay down and try to sleep this change pain off. Struggling to pull it over my horns, I hear my roomie running over to my side, right as I manage to get the damn thing off of my horns

"May?" She asks, with a thermometer and wet towel in her hands already, with a tired look in her eyes "Are you feeling alright? Do you need anything? Water? I told you you should just take some medicine and a hot both, you've been looking terrible all day"

"I'm fine, I told you that already, stop trying to baby me" I grumble as she pouts, the runes carved in her bark shining as she leans over me, narrowing her eyes "Just going through another change, if I need help I'll yell for ya alright?"


I roll over on my side, but I can still feel her staring

"Right after you got in a big fight? It just feels a little strange to me" She says, sounding a little suspicious and worn out "Also I'm not just going to let you suffer, so stop being so stubborn!"

I frown...I shouldn't tell her one of the reasons I feel so bad is because I've been roaring all night

This is an experimental quest to test a simple quest system I’ve been working on for a while.
The current system is a simplified version of traditional turn-based 2d JRPGs.
Players will decide which way to go in the map (Up, Down, Left, Right).
When you encounter an enemy, you’ll have four options (Attack, Specials, Items, Run).
When Attacking, roll 1d20 to check success (1-4: Attack Missed, 5-16: Normal Attack, 17-20: Critical Hit).
Since this quest is in experimental stage, we may run into several problems during the quest.
Hopefully we’ll sort out the problems and refine the game system as the quest progresses.

Shaped by little and soft moving... thing, you just recently awakened to consciousness, the small knowledge you have for now is comprised of what you managed to perceive from you're towering stature, and the prayer you receive from the people who worship you.
They are quite weak and short lived, they come and go regularly, make weird assembly around you, Sometime they are loud and moving in rhythm with a pair of them facing each other before the assembly. Other times they are silent, close to the ground, with one immobile on a pedestal, with a skin paler than the other. The Only constant is their expression when facing you.


They call you Becifor. Made of stone, you are the only constant in the landscape around you.

But, recently after eons of silence, you managed to feel a connection with one of the little creature, one who had his back on you, in the middle of the day, un-moving with a slow breathing.

Alright time for something a little different. So I'm planning on writing a creepy pasta, but I want the characters to have some real depth about them, instead of just being shallow derivations of my own personality.

So this is the first scene of the story: a diverse group of people have congregated in the fire room of a old 2-story log cabin after the sudden onset of a blizzard has prevented them from leaving. They are the remainders of a large and wild open-invite (spread largely thru word of mouth within the nearby small(ish) north american town) party, hosted by the enigmatic son of the estate owners (who are out of town and plan on demolishing the cabin soon on return). Its understandably cold af, especially since a couple of the windows have been smashed (the place is completely trashed). The fire is being kindled clumsily by a person(s) and someone breaks the silence...

Characters (feel free to attach a picture for visual reference) and dialogue is completely up to you guys, however at this point the story is only concerned with happenings in said fire room over the course of like 1/2 an hour. Feel free to continue from each others posts, and I will canonise what I like every now and again before setting the next scene.

Your quest continues as Shaggy Rogers as you are now adjusting to your new life as a werewolf with your talking Great Dane and best friend Scooby and Winnie, your new girlfriend/mate with the possibility of being pregnant with your pups. You are now in the middle of packing your things as you decided to retake and continue your role as coach for the Grimwood Finishing School for Girls.

Scooby is busy getting the exercise equipment for gym class just like you asked him to while Winnie goes back into packing her things despite coming all the way here to move in with you and help you with your problem. After your negotiation with Miss Grimwood involving the issues with the food there, you now don't have to worry about going hungry again now that you have everything sorted out with the headmistress.

You placed every single clothing you have in your suitcase while adding your clothing with Scooby Snacks and every other leftover food item you have in the house in case you and Scooby get hungry on the way since it will be a long drive. You wiped the sweat of your fuzzy forehead with your fur covered arm.

Now that you have everything covered on your end, you wonder what will you do from here while you wait for the others to get their things done.

Born as a commoner, fate had much in store for the young Jean Capet, as his Lord, Jandant de Labendai took him in as his squire.
Years later, Lord de Labendai died without heirs, raising Jean to the rank of a Lord with his last breath.
However, the realm had fallen on hard times after two years of sickness that had befallen Lord Jandant de Labendai.
Still, there was hope. Jean took up the name and title of Lord Jean de Labendai, first of his name. In only a few months, he has proven a prodigy at ruling his lands, restoring what was left of them to peace and order, making many friends, but also a few opponents along the way.

Right now, three months have passed while Jean was learning on the lands of Lord Sang-Valois, his soon to be father-in-law.
Klaus closes the book about strategy in the evening.
