Last time on fate/quest, Jeanne Santa and Saber Santa delivered christmas presents and SAVED CHRISTMAS by punishing gilgamesh, who was attempting to destroy the city.
That was about a month ago, almost two now. Surprisingly, nothing has really happened since then. The grail war seems to have stagnated, and while you have no idea as to why personally, you're thankful, as it's given you time to train with Saber and in creating swords. However, that is all about to change, as valentines day is in two days, and you're sure it will end in violence with how Illya, Rin, and Sakura are all vying for your attention while Irisviel and Saber fight them off.
What will you do today?

You take Esther's hand and place the locket in it.
"I found it in your parent's bedroom, stashed under the mattress" You say.
Esther picks up the locket. "It's... my mommy's..." She says, as she opens it.
"It's a nice picture" Emi says.
Esther nods, closing her eyes and holding the locketclose to her chest. "Thank you" She says.
You smile and rub her back, before turning to the others. "Shall we?" You ask.
"Where are we off to?" Emi asks.
"The meeting hall" You reply. "I'm curious to see what's going on there"
"Sounds good to me" Madelaine says.

Death to Magi!
Your past life is mostly insignificant. You were a lowborn boy and one day a lowborn man, but you never amounted to anything more than that. You assumed the title of Antimage not because you desire fame and recognition, and not because you wish to hide from your dark past, but because you want the corrupted Magi to cower in your wake.
You want them to prostrate before you in fear. You want them to cry for the Lord King's forgiveness. You want to catch their tears in your open palm, so that the same palm may be clenched to strike them in retribution.
Their blood, sweat, and tears will be your own to store in phylacteries, that they may be offered to the Lord Above as proof of your loyalty. It will be their penance for their philanderings with the Lord's powers. Magic is not their right, and it is not their power to hold over honest men and women.
The world has been ravaged by plague and treachery. Those who have not submitted to the prevailing blasphemy of the Lažna Prophesy now cower and pray for forgiveness in hopes that one day the Lord Above will bathe the lands in everlasting light, that His people may thrive and rebuild the societies conquered by the forces of greed, hedonism, and divine pretenses.
Your country, Skrivenya Mestikralja, was once an innocent hierocracy where innocent, hard-working families thrived. They paid their dues to the Priestess in the form of victual and written confession, who then paid her thanks to our one and only Lord Above in turn.
And He answered with inspiration for the singers and skalds of the lands, a fair harvest for the pettymen with fingers calloused from hard work and prayer, and His blood to fill the goblets of the noble Clergy, so that they may be drunk on His unlimited erudition.
[1]
>>1146896
You escaped from the Oprichna -- a blanket term for the Clergy's personal agents, legislators, and torturers -- and found yourself in a desolate region known as Odmazda Krater, traversing a hallowed path adorned with gold and silver, engraved with the names of the many pilgrims who walked it centuries ago.
The names have since faded, just as the Lord Above has all but faded out of relevancy. The people still blame Him for the lung rot that split His people in two, and now they seek to elevate a new hero. You were briefly a proponent of this awful heresy until the Lord came to you in a vision only minutes before your impending torture.
You remember His words clearly.
Remember, child:
You are Mine first, and Mine only to raise.
Your life of squalor will become one of prosperity
Only by serving your King.
Remember, child:
There are no kings within your world.
I am King, and I rule from a plane that your mind, in all its jejune sensibilities, cannot comprehend.
And as King, I declare you Mine to control.
Understand, child:
These lands will return to my far-reaching fingertips, and they will do so willingly.
There are no kings in these lands, but there are pretenders all around.
They are known as Magi -- as a heretic, you have met many in disguise.
Yes, it is they who presume to threaten My authority.
Understand, child:
You know more than most.
Prove to me that your world is worth saving.
This will be the last audience you have with Me.
Death to Magi.
[2]
>>1146902
Only one good thing came of your dark past:
>You were a holy warrior called upon to serve the hieromilitants for a brief time, at least until you were cajoled into using your martial knowledge to assist the Lažna Prophesy accomplish its unholy goals. (bonus to strife, starting boon: engraved warhammer from your military days)
>You were a master orator who publicly spoke against the clinics for embezzling the people's hard-earned coppers with false cures. Regrettably, you were one day coaxed into supporting their perversions of the Lord's will. (bonus to presence, starting boon: stoic mask)
>You were a mage. You have scourged yourself clean of all magic -- no need to fret!(bonus to thwart, starting boon: obtain either a siphon or ward antispell*)
>You were a muck slave to the Hierophant Society. Your body may blame you for its many aches and pains, but your brain knows better. (bonus to mettle, starting boon: impressive physique)
>You once played Smokes with the farm girls. They technically won every time, yet you were the only one profiting. (bonus to duplicity, starting boon: 200 coppers)
>You were a pettyman who knew his place... except when you let your delusions of grandeur get the better of you. (bonus to action points, starting boon: three holy books; "division", "of folk", "of matters divine." studying them may prove useful in the future)
*Antispells are similar to spells, but rather than usurping power from the Baromon as magic does, they are faith-based and simply request a momentary outward projection of His power. As such, antispells are not nearly as powerful as normal spells.Think of Witcher signs. Witchers aren't sorcerers, but they're not magically incompetent either.

You are Captain Carya Marseille-O'Hara, and you find yourself in the middle of backtracking to your mobile suit with a new ally in tow: Lieutenant Carlyle, one of the mobile suit pilots working for Sweetwater colony's security forces.
“I have three rules whenever I negotiate,” you tell her as you move to continue walking. “Terms are always open to renegotiation, never treat my allies like they're my friends, and never offer anything that's not already on the table.”
The Lieutenant looks at you curiously. “Meaning...”
“Meaning his position of power isn't what we bargained for,” you explain, stopping and turning in front of Catrina. At the moment she's encased in a seventeen-meter-tall robot built out of psychically-attuned metal, but you know she's listening. “I was going to take out those weapons and capture the man behind them either way, and now that I know about this stockpile Shaw's been sitting on I'm going to confiscate it as evidence and have him politically crucified for it.”
“Both sides broke the rules. Both sides lose.”
After a few moments of digesting that thought, Lieutenant Carlyle treats you to a wicked grin and offers her hand.
“We've never been properly introduced... Lieutenant Bianca Carlyle, former EFF.”
You grasp her hand, and receive a much more lively and sincere handshake than Shaw's measured, calculated gesture. Almost like she's an actual person instead of whatever politicians count as. “Captain Carya Marseille-O'Hara. Captain or Carrina works in combat.”
“Well then,” Lieutenant Carlyle muses, releasing your hand. “What's the next move... partner?”
“Let's see,” you muse thoughtfully, stepping back into Catrina's giant metal hand. “I suppose we need to secure the G3 canisters first. Once that's off the table we can decide how to play our hand against the Char wanna-be on the other side of the colony.”
“Decide? What more intel do you need?”

Still, re-establishing comms with the Sericea wouldn't hurt for a coordinated effort.

It's been around a week since you had dismissed from the hospital. Most of the pain in your body had faded and everything feels much better than last week. As per Doctors orders you have taken the last week off from school in order to recuperate. Being houseridden has been pretty boring, days of nothing but T.V. and frozen chicken tenders. But you are able to bare, because of your sisters. Dizzy having nowhere else to be and Amy whom has also received a week's leave from school by way of family troubles.
It is the following Sunday morning. She sun is freshly risen and a new day begins. Tomorrow will be your first day back. Good thing you were months ahead in the text for all the classes.
For the last week Amy has been helping you get drinks when your legs hurt and helping you tidy up when your arms hurt. She has asked for nothing the entire week but has been dropping hints about your and her day out together ,all week. No one in the house is awake yet. "My people have already begun sending back reports," Myrddin says. "You'll be happy to know you're quite popular in the city."
"That does absolute wonder for my confidence." You flex your arm. It's still a little sore, but the wounds have healed enough for you to be able to use it in a real fight. "And the investigation?"
"Finished as well," Myrddin says. "A minor baron by the name of Sion auk Corffdyn is the one who directly arranged the assassination."
"And indirectly?"
"He owes very large debts to your uncle," Myrddin says, "and their relation seems to be fairly good, so turning him isn't an option."
It's a shame for Sion that you won't be able to use him as a double agent. The only other option is to kill him, but you need someone to break into his castle and rummage around for any incriminating evidence. Someone needs to take care of him.
You could do it yourself - Olstren's matter is now out of your hands, you have enough time to make a trip before your children are born - or you could delegate the task to Myrddin's agents.

“Thanks for saving me!” the small Caterpie expressed his gratitude. You and Team Poll had returned to your guild to be greeted by your clients from the days missions, the first of which was the caterpillar.
“It’s not much, but I thank you, really.” He states handing you the 500 poke, before heading off.
The Lotad from earlier had come back to the guild as well. Somehow he got here prior to your team. He didn’t have much to say in the way of gratitude, but his money was as good as any, and he even threw in a ribbon. Although you aren’t sure what its effect is.
Then the Geodude came, excitedly taken the rock, he gave you an offer. “Hey I don’t have much in the way of money, but I do have a good item, or I could teach you a cool move! Meet me in town and tell me once you decide.”
Before you could even object he was already off. He was surprisingly fast for a rock.
“We didn’t get that much for the guild…” Alice seemed a bit disappointed with the results of the days mission. Probably feeling this amount of pay wasn’t worth all the mud.

Last time, you dealt with the many burdens of command, but now you're back at the Dam. There's no need to go into what a struggle it was getting Keith's Warmouth and the one-legged Betta-MP back, but you do it in time.
Irina and the technicians run through the mission log of the three Betta-MPs, in search of the truth, and you receive no resistance from the dispirited pink-haired girls. Your girlfriend, though, isn't able to help very much. After a certain point, during a flyover of a sleepy little Qu'liri village, you see a bloom of fire from the rooftop of one of the villages. There's a wash of static, then, and Lyra's feed goes dead. Lyanna and Lara's last long enough to show you a small anti-mech missile hitting Lyra's mech before they too go dead. Irina promises that, if you all survive this, she'll keep digging and figure out the cause, but her best guess is that it was a result of sudden electrical overload although the break in footage is oddly clean. Their ASP systems are entirely fried.
As for Jesus, he surprises you too. There's talk of borrowing someone else's Warmouth for him, as a member of SOUL, and jury-rigging it for sniping...but he refuses. Instead, he asks if there are any mecha currently lacking pilots. After scanning a list, he selects one that surprises you, the humble Pumpkinseed I Sniper of the late Sergeant O'Neil, killed during the Dam Raid. It can't use his beloved custom rifle, but he shrugs it off, "I'd be a poor sniper if I could only use one gun." He says, and gets some practice in with the Pumpkinseed's Iskander, patterned with the ancient Celtic designs O'Neil favored in life. The one modification he does insist on, however, is the addition of a white V-fin crest to the Pumpkinseed's head, stating something to the effect of it being his signature style, the V is an ancient gesture for both victory and peace.

The old crone stretched her aged limbs as she readjusted herself in the bedside seat. The lamplight flickered, causing shadows to dance across the walls.
“So what do you think of the story so far?” a wrinkled smile curled itself upon her face.

I stop midstep, and take a long, deep breath. The cold air clears the panic out of my mind like a storm after a battle. I can't afford to panic right now. As difficult as it is to reign in my emotions now, But I have to do it lest I make so idiotic mistake in my worried state. I just have to focus, and control myself. I close my eyes, tightly gripping my zanpakuto as Kotei tries to shake her and Bloody's physical form out of their Sheath. I need to reflect on what I know is going on. But all I know is what I can feel, and I can feel it in my blood....it's an odd, indescribable feeling. But a familiar one, in some strange way, and almost instinctual sensation. Aya is in danger, someone is trying to hurt or is hurting her. I have no idea if I'm the first one to notice this or if I'm the only one who can sense it. If I am either, than I'd have to guess her blood is why I am. But....in theory anyone who's close enough to her should be able to sense this change in her reiryoku, right?
I really hope that's the case, at least. if it is then I'll be alone in this panic. Take a breath, let it back out. Alright, I can't just run off to wherever she is without permission. That would be beyond foolish. As would be going there alone, since I have no idea exactly what is doing this to her. But I can't just stand around and think about this, I need to act. But I can't act as I want to. I need to restrain myself, I need to be allowed to do this, and I need at least another sword by my side.
And I need to be calm and banish the anger in me, which may be impossible. The greatest killer besides overconfidence is passion, after all if I cannot reign in the flurry of emotions and feelings in my chests, I know I'll rush into danger without a second thought. And I have seen plenty of men die like this, Hell I nearly died from something like that once or twice.
And If I get hurt or die, then Aya will be in even more danger and trouble than before. I smirk, pushing both my hands onto my Nodachi's hilt to keep the blade sheathed as Kotei picks up on my bloodlust and finds new energy to try and break out with.
I get a few odd looks from my comrades and fellow shinigami, especially my seniors, as I walk into the barracks for some quite, so I can calm Kotei down.
"Don't worry" I whisper into the blades edge "You'll have your meal soon enough, I just need to get permission and back up first"
Because any rescue done by just one person is practically doomed to fail. And this is something I cannot fail at.
What do I do?
[] Tell Ginrei and ask for permission
[] Ask Ginrei for a force of a handful of other shinigami
[] See who else can sense this
[] Ask Tosen for help
[] Ask Tora for help

Glad to hear it.
And they only have to be able to walk. And ignore a discreet incision.
In the year 1986, crime in the United States is at an all-time high. Criminals, drugs, and guns flow in and out of the country from everywhere in the world, and the gateway to it all is the coastal paradise, Heat City. On the neon-soaked streets of this beating heart of scum and villany, you can get whatever you want -- if you can pay the price.
You are Johnny the thug, and ever since you agreed to take one little job for the Bratva, your life has gone sideways. One thing led to another as you made enemies of one half of the city's underworld, and then the other half. With the help of some new friends -- Alex the enforcer, Nick the thief, and the Yamada family -- you went all-in and led a daring heist on the Triad's skyscraper fortress, Dragon's Nest. It went great until you got shot and fell off the roof, twenty-five stories down.
Through luck or fate, and with the help of the underground fighter Roxie, you survived and lived to tell the tale. Now you're taking some time off for your broken bones to heal, recuperating in an old mansion on the edge of town you bought with your heist money. But you haven't forgotten that someone out there has been playing games with you, pitting the city's criminal syndicates against each other, with you caught in the middle. You're going to find out who it is, and make them pay.

Hype!
It's about a week since you moved in to your new house, the once-great manor. You bought a pair of crutches to help you hobble around, but your broken leg is still a problem. Your more mobile friends are off investigating the city's crime syndicates, trying to dig up leads, and as far as you know, they've got it covered. So for now you're taking some time to deal with your own shit.
During the few hours a day you can move around, you and the Terror Twins drive around town stocking up your new place with furniture, food, and firearms. The rest of the time, you watch TV, read from the stack of old National Geographic magazines you found in the attic, or clean out the remaining junk from back rooms. The manor is gradually feeling less like a haunted house and more like a place where someone could actually live.
You're enjoying the time off. For a while there, it felt like your life was one brawl, chase, gunfight, or showdown after the other. It's good to catch a break.
