Last time on Masterpiece of a Shattered God, otherwise known as MSGQuest, otherwise known as 'the most pretentious sounding quest on /qst/':

> ███████ created a penis. They deemed it to be good, and vaguely arousing...

> ███████ created a mortal plane. They deemed it to be good.

> ███████ threw a rock at a mortal. The mortal was obliterated on impact.

> ███████ planted a seed, that would eventually grow into a sprawling forest, on the mortal plane...

> ███████ created a species of small, burrowing herbivores, and a species of large cunning carnivores to help populate the mortal realm...

> ███████ imbues the stone they tossed onto the mortal plane with a shard of their divinity. The stone begins to transform into a powerful servant of ███████...

> ███████ causes a spring to violently erupt from the ground beneath the metamorphosing stone. The stone is shattered, but not disenchanted, resulting in the creation of four stone golems...

> ███████ reluctantly engulfs the penis in sacred fire and places it above the mortal plane...

> ███████ suspends a shroud of asteroids and debris around the mortal plane...

> ███████ creates a lake on the mortal plane...

> ███████ creates a rainforest on the mortal plane...

> ███████ accidentally unleashes an unspeakable evil upon the denizens of the mortal plane...

> ███████ creates a species of winged super-predators that live in the mountains...

How to play: First, submit a command. Keep in mind that you may only execute a single action per command. Commands will be enacted based on how many other Anons in the thread support it. If there is a tie I will roll a die to determine which command will be chosen.

Once I have selected a command, I will dedicate the few measly modicums of artistic talent I possess to representing the content of that command in the world you anons have created. This process could take ten minutes, or in excess of one and a half hours. After I finish and post an image, I will wait for 30 minutes for new commands...

...

So, regarding commands posted in the last thread:

- One person asked for two things: Order golems to build wall, and order golems to build a grand temple on the mountainside. I told him to chose one of these actions, combine them, or make a new command. He hasn't responded...

- A second person said that he would vote for whichever option the first anon did not select. Since the first anon has not replied the second anon's vote is [null] as of this moment...

- A third anon supported the first anon's command to have the golems build a wall...

...

To summarize, as of this post, we have one vote for having the golems build a wall around the mortal's campsite...

Alright, I'm going to give you 30 minutes to throw any new commands into the proverbial ring, or to support preexisting commands...

Welcome to Spirit Detective Quest! This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Yu Yu Hakusho, though it does not take place during the events of the show. You're a young highschooler, one who will find himself granted the title of Spirit Detective, and will be charged with tracking down demons and other supernatural criminals.

>Rules

Each time I make an update, there will be a ten minute window in which you can vote between various options I have provided. Write-ins are accepted and encouraged, but I do reserve the right to veto them. Once ten minutes have passed, the option (or suitable combination) with the most support will win.

You can choose multiple options, but be mindful of when that doesn't take any sense. Saying you want to go talk to someone and then talk to someone else in one post doesn't make much sense.

Also, in combat, I may veto selecting multiple options depending on how feasible that seems.

As far as combat, you will roll to attempt different options. I will not tell you what the number needed is ahead of time, so use your heads and balance risk/reward. Sometimes, you should take riskier options if they can yield greater payoff. Other times, it's best to play it safe. Use your judgement.

This is not Dragonball, and while there are sometimes ways to bring back the dead, they are few and far between, so do not assume that anybody you kill/let die will be coming back.

I hope you all have fun.

Last Time On Saiyan Civilization Quest:

Chief Turnip traveled to the decided upon dueling grounds for the fight between the chiefs of the Skullcrusher and Bloodsipper clans. The chiefs, apparently rival siblings, quarreled for some time before the start of their duel. The actual conflict was prolonged and ultimately inconclusive, prompting Chief Turnip to display his full power in a magnificent display of ki manipulation. This was enough to receive the fealty of both Chief Korn of the Skullcrushers and Chief Maize of the Bloodsippers, on the conditions that they be taught the techniques of outward ki manipulation discovered by Turnip.

Meanwhile, at the village, Artichoke's investigation into the poisoned east side stream did not turn up any results, save for a vague report of a shadowy figure seemingly defecating in it. The sick are now able to speak, but all the healing methods attempted so far have yet to revive their full strength. Strangely enough, the sickly child of Artichoke and Cauli, the tiny infant Coli, seems to have contracted the strange sickness before anyone else.

Finally, Chief Turnip's second child with his mate Zelleri was born, a female.

This is a short prequel/test run quest that I'm doing to get used to how to format stuff on here for the main quest I will be writing later.>> You are a sultan in one of the major provinces of the Illithan empire which is primarily desert and centered in the trade capitol of the empire, Umbertesk. Your disgusting half breed son is being held for ransom by some slavers. The representative of said slavers stands before you, just having made his demands known. 2,000,000 gold pieces or the boy is never seen or heard from again. What will you do?

>To hell with the boy. I never liked him anyway

>Pay up. I may not like him, but he's still of my blood

>Rescue him with the army. I will not be threatened by peasants

>Rescue him with the army. I will not be threatened by peasants
>>
You stand up from your throne, looking down at the man standing before you. "Fools, do you have any idea with whom you are dealing with? I am the most powerful man on this side of the empire and you thought it would be a good idea to capture MY darling son?" The darling part almost made you gag, but you made your point. "Guards, seize this man and send riders out to find the boy!" The man is quickly apprehended and is dragged out of the throne room. Before he leaves, however, he shouts, "Wait! You don't know where our camp is. He could be anywhere in the desert, hell, we could be moving right now and you wouldn't have an iota of an idea where to even start looking for him. Why don't we all just calm down and discuss this like rational men?" Your response?

>That is a chance I am willing to take

For House & Dominion: Civil War

You are Sonia Reynard, Viscount of Rioja and a member of House Jerik-Dremine. You and your House continue to gain in power and prestige thanks to recent victories. While still small numerically the other Houses of the greater Dominion have begun to take notice of your strength and influence.

The civil war that has consumed the Dominion continues to rage as the Major Houses struggle for position and dominance. While an ally of the current Ruling House you have increasingly voiced support for House Ber'helum as their replacement.
If things go according to plan they may be able to stage a peaceful transition of power at a later time. For now the two are allies of convenience against more pressing threats.

Houses Nasidum, Xygen and Bonrah form the core of the opposition. The two sides are roughly in a stalemate at the moment but both continue to look for ways to increase their strength.

Rioja is secure and recovering now that the passage connecting the Centri Cluster to South Reach is restored. Civilian trade has begun to flow again and the Major Houses are continuing to evaluate how to take advantage of this. Your side and the remaining neutral Houses can openly send convoys through, but there are undoubtedly smugglers moving supplies and resources for the enemy as well.

Forces in South Reach continue to face off in skirmishes and other low intensity regional conflicts. In the Centri cluster the fighting remains more severe though its intensity continues to diminish.

Given the overall situation and the need to defend what heavy warship assets the House has you've decided to strike out on raiding missions in the Centri Cluster. By raiding logistics and sticking to tactics you're best at you can have a greater impact with less forces.

Determined to have as much impact as possible with your raiding mission you've set out with a fleet for the Jerboa dwarf galaxy. A trio of dwarfs are located between yours and Helios' home galaxy and all but one have been captured by Nasidum and its allies. Disrupting enemy logistics may help give the local Helios fleets a chance and buy time for your allies to come to their aid.

Your fleet is based around the Qlippoth, a captured and modified Neeran heavy carrier. Fast, tough and heavily armed it has so far been able to keep you in the fight. Two modified Lance Class medium cruisers act as escort for the carrier and support ships. The Outer Heaven, your custom fit Neeran Fast Medium Cruiser, is currently acting as your command ship.

Four wings of attack ships, a Fast Battleship squadron and a drone carrier round out your fleet and provide flexibility.

Since arriving in the Jerboa dwarf galaxy you've struck out at convoys, outposts and colonies. These raids have caused enough damage that the enemy has begun to divert more resources to dealing with you. For now they've merely strengthened the defenses and patrols in the first oversector you arrived in.

Having moved on from there you immediately struck at a convoy headed for the front lines. Things went better than you expected. Rather than seizing cargo from a few transports as planned you've made off with multiple intact transports along with goods taken from damaged vessels. Even better you've hauled in the crippled hulls of multiple warships.

Finding yourself with an embarrassment of riches and more damaged ships than you can quickly repair you've resolved to return to friendly lines for repairs.

Qlippoth is loaded down with crippled warships and slower transports that would hinder the fleet's movement. Whatever cargo that can be loaded up without endangering the fleet will be. The rest will remain behind for possible later recovery.

Lyas Cinayk will take a small unit and try to hunt down a mining operation they can safely raid. If they're lucky they might be able to recover a mining barge to help hide the rest of the loot with.

Pulling back to friendly space will be tricky but you've managed worse.

Your current location is indicated by the green star at the center of the circle. Normally this circle represents the operational range of your raiding forces from the Qlippoth.

Regions of space near the trade lanes already see plenty of traffic and activity. Even more so near the front lines. These would normally not be the best place to cross into friendly territory, especially with a target like a heavy carrier.

The shipyards you'll need access to are generally found only in sectors with major colonies and industry. What friendly sector did you want to go to?

Oh shit nigger it's a /qst/ adventure thing. That I'm pretty sure I saw someone did before and I'm ripping them off but I can't remember the name so I can't credit them. Yea.

4 persons form an adventuring party in a nondescript generic fantasy land.
Each chacacter needs at least 1 player to be the voices in their head to tell them what to do n shit.

Just give yourself a name with the character's team color to identify which person you belong to. Ex: "Red Faggot"
The party's current mission is to buy the Orc Monk Clackie Chan some new clothes. Due to Richard the Human Ranger striping him of his old clothes and selling them.

Stage 149: The Yako's Tail.

You run your fingers through the soft silk of Yuuhi's tail, and murmur to her, “You know that I am always here if you want to talk about it, right Yuuchi?” You don't look at her or expect an answer, you just pet her soft, warm tail and take comfort in the presence of your devoted, loving, strange samurai. “You know I'm the last person who will say anything about what you've done in your past.”

She shifts slightly and you look toward her, and feel her fingertip against your forehead.

It's hot. It's really hot.

You're locked inside a shed, chained to the frame while sitting down, your arms spread wide. It's not yet the middle of summer, but it is awfully close, and the locked door of the shed and the lack of any ventilation makes it even more swelteringly hot than it has any right to be. You don't have the energy to be sick from heat, and while you aren't dizzy or stroked out yet, you aren't sweating very much at all anymore which is a really bad sign.

The reason you're locked inside the shed is because you've been accused of a capital offense, and unfortunately that capital offense consists of “being Ainu in a Japanese village.” It's a very difficult offense to overcome, since you're pretty much going to be Ainu as long as you live. You ave a hard time adapting to Japanese culture for a number of reasons, the worst of which is that your father was a black forest fox, and your brain is pretty hardwired into thinking and being yourself.

You're not a bad fox, per se. Sure, you are homeless since your mother passed away, and you don't have any ordinary siblings, and your dad was a stupid fox so he never stayed with your mom. You might steal an occasional vegetable or melon, sometimes a carrot, but mostly you eat a lot of bugs, grubs, tubers, frogs, fish, and the occasional rabbit when you get lucky. Not mushrooms though. Never mushrooms. Anyways, it's not the best life, but it's your life and you're going to miss it when they chop your head off.

Depending on whether or not you can make your escape while exhausted, starving, dehydrated, and chained to the wall.

“I don't care if she's just a kid, she's one of them! There's not real people anyways!”

“We're still going to wait on the shaman. Do you want a ghost hanging around your home?”

The next few things said are mumbles and softer, and you're not really interest in what they're saying anyways, except that someone's going to look in on you later, some priestess. Twisting your hands you can feel the manacles pressing along the bones in your wrists, but you know it is a single length of chain. The screws are too tight to be undone by hand and you're too weak anyways at the moment. But that doesn't mean you can't escape them. It'll just hurt a lot and make a mess.

You've made messes before though.

>Asahi can make only one choice, but her choices are as informed as they can be. Her fourth choice is always an offer to use her inborn fox powers, but they are unilaterally unpleasant powers from her father's legacy.

>As always, write-ins take precedence.

[] Use leverage and determination to break your wrist and maybe deglove your bad hand to escape.
[] Wait patiently and try and conserve your strength so you can attempt to convince the shaman to let you free, even though you are a nogitsune-child.
[] Pray to whatever kami might actually listen to the child of a lowlife murdering thieving bastard of a yako for succor.
[] Ignite the shed. Even if it burns down you'll at least die in ghost fire and be gone instead of stuck in yomi.

You're Astanos, son of Koragos and heir to the heros Kodros who slew the cyclops Thantatos. As such you are to tend to the temple of Hades erected on the island that carries your ancestor's name and sacrifice there every month. (it is 2 weeks until sacrifice week)

A fortnight ago, on your way home from the city, Persephone came to you in a dream and told you that for your family to prosper, you must find favour with many gods to be blessed in the matters dearest to you, though to do this with caution as they are jealous and confrontational.

Once back at your homestead, you started construction on a shrine to Persephone (roll me a 1d100 for that, best of first 2) as well as ordered your new slaves to set up a new field (another 1d100 pls) and a vineyard and to start cutting trees for building material.

When you went out hunting last week, you slew a boar with golden tusks. You added its flesh to your stockpiles and hid the tusks in a chest in your room. They are bound to be worth a pretty penny.

When you came home, one of your newly acquired slaves was gone, having not returned from the woods. He seemed to have vanished, his axe still embedded in the oak he had been cutting down.

Mentes, your protege as opposed to Protage, which is the name of your wife speaks to you of voiceless whispers filling the air.

Each player will begin the game with pop 100. You'll “spawn” in a hex very hospitable to your species. You'll be able to survive there even if you do not build shelter. You're either tolerant to the elements, or there are natural features in the hex for living in.

Fog of war is in effect, if you haven't been there. You don't know it exists. A magical fog covers the face of the planet, and when it recedes, everyone is present and all ecosystems are running and we find ourselves at turn 0.25. We're going to go in seasons for now.

When your people spawn, they have all the knowledge to survive in their home hex, in the stone age. Although they don't know how to build shelters, there are members of each group that “know how to do things”. Bob knows how to start fires, Linda can find edible mushrooms, Frank can tap out a funky beat on a log, Wilma knows how to smack rocks together and make ax heads, etc.

with a 24 roll you aren't having wholesale success, but you are making headway. The emerald crows have still allowed you only to be observed. When you start trying to invert the relationship, the birds always fly off. You've still not found a roosting site or any evidence that they “exist” in the wild, other than you see them watching your people, and you see them fly off when you get boring, or too inquisitive.

>Learn the language of the animals(81)

Regular animals, as such, don't have language as we understand it. Crows, as it turns out have names, within their families each bird has a distinctive call I believe I read somewhere.... You have commenced Animal Lore T1 162/500. Your people have identified warning and territorial calls for all animals, and food beckoning calls for most. At full mastery, your people will be budding rangers.

Just barely fifty yards into the woods, you can already hear shoving, and fights breaking out between some of the less morally upstanding students in their attempts to finish the objectives first. Steel clashing against steel rings throughout the woods as everyone else tries to navigate through the chaos. Maybe Flanagan and Rickert had a point when it came to lowering recruitment standards...

Nonetheless, you had more immediate issues to deal with.

Miralda and the rest of your group follow closely behind you as you steer your path away from the fighting in the main path and forward towards the Observation Post.

The wind tunnel howls as you clamber up the thick cables leading into its mouth. The sole source of light asides from your headlamp is an array of white fluorescent lights that blink out and are revealed yet again as the blades of the massive brass fan that caps this fifty-foot wide shaft steadily rotates in front of them. You at least take heart that this vein of the Great Maker runs so consistently; you have not yet been into a Blight Zone, but the memories gleaned from your soulgem and the horror stories told by the older Sodalts back at the Vats do not make you eager to visit one. It is upsetting to think of Autochthon as a suffering old man on his last dregs of breath. But, if this training exercise goes well, that may very well never happen. And if you serve your homeland and your God in the exemplary way expected of you afterwards, no one will have to do so again.

Thirty feet up, you pause to warm yourself. Kamak has entered a cold season just two weeks ago, and the wind from the tunnels is interfering with your body's ability to adapt to the temperature. Your instructors at least had the mercy to give you a decent leather coat and trousers, the inside of the former lined with genuine (yet heavily worn) rat fur. This small luxury does little to lessen the chill, and so you scramble into a small nook behind the cables to take shelter from the gale. You peel off your thick fur gloves and rub your hands together, trying to bring some manner of warmth back into your fingers. After a few seconds, you realize that friction isn't going to help you here and you resolve yourself to get back to the matter at hand, but your bare skin catches your eye for a brief moment. You've only been Exalted for a month now and with no previous Exalt's soul inside to temper this wonderment, you are awestruck from time to time when you see your new body of metallic flesh and alchemic blood. After all, not everybody is made of...

>Orichalcum. The magical material of excellence. You lead by example and set a trail for others to follow. You are physically powerful beyond compare, more intelligent than many could even imagine, and possess a forceful personality that inspires all your fellow men and women.
>Moonsilver. The magical material of guile and innovation. You work from the shadows to ensure the survival and glory of your home. You are graceful in every way; you're wondrous to behold, you walk with perfect balance, and your mind flows like your namesake metal.
>Jade. The magical material of unity. Jade is common, but that doesn't make it lesser. After all, the Populat is common too and it takes all of them to make Autochthonia the land it is. You are the voice of the people, a workhorse to ease their burden, and a resourceful and steady thinker.
>Starmetal. The magical material of subtlety. You're rarer than the others, and thus all the more valuable for your talents in arranging everything from behind the scenes. Whether it be on the battlefield or in the boardroom, you are the quickest, slickest, and smartest person in the place.
>Soulsteel. The magical material of vigilance. You enforce the laws of your world no matter what. You have the limitless endurance to keep going where others would falter, the keenest senses to find what many can not, and the personality needed to reveal traitors and liars.

After all, not everybody is made of soulsteel. Your hands are made of a lustrous black metal that reveal faint, distorted, inhuman figures howling in some sort of primal agony when the light from your lamp catches them. You briefly wonder where exactly your metal even comes from (the Sodalts were not helpful when you asked) before you place your gloves back on your hands and decide that complaining about the cold isn't worthy of your caste and hurl yourself back onto the cables, returning back to the climb. Only seventy feet to go. Child's play for you.

The rest of your travels up the foot thick steel cables are uneventful, save for one small yet persistent issue.

>The synthetic leather your pants are made of has contracted in the cold and clings to your "Little Enforcer" in an uncomfortable manner. (You are male.)
>The cold has made certain parts of your ample chest hard enough to cut Adamant. (You are female).

==Hatequest is a deliberately edgy meme quest may or may not be a one-shot thing, just to flex my QM skills after a while with rust being built up. Any suggestions, complaints or compliments would be greatly appreciated at the tail end of the thread.==

It's been a long damn time. You've spent days, weeks, months, years, always thinking about the moment you decide to go through with it. The world is an awful and sickening place, filled with scum and vermin who do not hesitate to trod on each other in their scramble to survive one more meagre day and pass on their pathetic blood to ever worse offspring.

No more. Now is the time for you to partake of the grand cleansing, to wipe clean the Earth and all the slowly decaying filth that inhabits it, to purge and begin anew, to rise from the ashes of the old and give rise to something... better. At least, you tell yourself that. Maybe you just want it all to go away, be the one that gets removed. This is your chance to find out.

But first thing's first. As the shepard of the new world, you must choose your tool.

Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls. But a dark cloud approaches, and times are about to change. A new chapter in the tale of Dark Gate Academy is about to begin.

“We've almost arrived, Kazuma.”

The small town of Hebi, not too far off from the city of Kingudoro, your home. While Hebi itself may seem dismal and dour compared to the bright lights of the nearby city, there is something that sets it apart in your mind. This town stands as the home of one of your closest friends... or perhaps a former friend. It all depends on how this visit goes.

Io Tanaka... the girl you never knew. The merchant of Dark Gate, Io was many things, and she'd have you believe she was many more. A scoundrel, a cheat and a compulsive liar, just about every word that came out of Io's mouth was soaked with layers of dishonesty, even when she made an apparent attempt to clean up her act. You could never trust her, because you had no true idea of who she was... was she a snake? A thief? Maybe... but the care she gave you, the friendship you and her shared... it felt genuine. Genuine enough that you found yourself on a train tracking her down in her hometown after she left.

“Are you sure you're ready for this?” Anri asks, sitting across from you as she thumbs through Yasunari's old journal. “If you're not, I can simply gain the information about that package from her and we can move on-”

“No,” you reply. “At the very least, I need to speak with her. I need to find out why she left us. To find out exactly who she is.”

As you lean back in your seat, your mind drifts back to the letter Io left in her wake...

But a snake will always be a snake, no matter how she sheds her skin. You want to know the worst part? Here I am, writing this farewell to you before I take off, and I still can't even bring myself to tell you why. Really pathetic, isn't it? Well, it's probably better that way. I leave without explanation, and you can put me right out of your mind. I'll just be some girl you once knew, some lying snake who crawled back to her pit once she had sucked the school dry. A girl who never truly liked you, never wanted to be part of your life. That's all I was, and all I'll ever be. Please, don't come after me. Goodbye, Kaz.

Well, you were held up with missions, but now the time has come for you to disobey Io's request.

“I understand,” Anri nods. “Well, it may prove difficult for you. I can tell that your feelings towards Io are... understandably complicated. Regardless, you won't be alone when you confront her.”

Anri's right. You certainly won't be alone. After all...

>I've got Anri by my side. She's a good friend.
