Ever since you decided to put on the mask and cape. Things have gotten interesting and changed a lot. From kicking the ass of especially troublesome space ship to the point of stealing their ship and ransoming them back to their own guys. Investigating the burnt homesteads that turned out to not be bandits as was suspected by monsters who prey upon humanity. Which lead to falling for an ambush and trap by some of those bandits along with the monsters. To taking the advise of a loyal customer for the sake of getting laid. Thereby getting you kidnapped by a particularly horny pirate lady. With the strange turn of those bandits who ambushed you becoming your rescuers as they dropped you off on the coast. Resulting in a very long...and very strange walk.
So strange in fact that somehow you left the planet you were on and are somehow taking a journey in space along a very strange and mystical pathway. To ultimately who knows where. Hopefully if you take the same route you can here from you can get back. Otherwise you have no idea how your going to get home.
And to think all this happened in less then a week!
So continues the story of a charismatic trader cape in a faithful space colony.

You walk finding yourself crossing vast distances with each step. You could see the twin stars of this system fast approaching with every step forward. Somehow you were...crossing such vast distances with each step as if you were an extraordinary advanced spacecraft.
You saw the different worlds of this star system. Some fuck off huge like the gas giants while others were smaller or even had higher gravity then own home. After awhile you find yourself at an intersection.
One leads you closer to the twin stars. Another takes you to the gas giant in the inner system. One path takes you to the outer system. Another path you can see a strange intersection with paths that blearily lead to nearby worlds. While the last path...you are not sure where it leads. As it takes a strange indirect route through the star system.
What do?

This has sparked an extreme amount of controversy, and the Cierto Church seems quite strong in France, Spain, South America, and Italy... But has sparked a lot of unrest in Spain....
In Sweden, the Cierto Church is about 8% of the Norweigan, Swedish, Finnish, and Danish population. It is 30% of the population in France, and 60% of the population in Spain has converted to it...
A counter-schism church however, based in Hansodr, calling itself the Sterk Kirke, or the Sterkites, led by the Lycanthrope Archbishop Steinar Fjerstad, has arise... It's a rather benign philosophy, believing in stoic values, strong and militaristic government, and obedience to the rule of law... Though it does believe that actual church is a waste of time believing it would be better to work, and of course, willing to serve in the army or a crusade...

However, due to being partially Theocratic, you are FORCED to choose a Catholic ideology...

Incidentally, that tournament begins today. I took off work early so I could get home and start this thread early and get all of the dialogue out of the way so we could start the fighting at the usual time. Posts may be coming very quickly, or very slowly. No guarantees. I'd like to request that those of you who like to post a ton of reaction images and character pictures (you know who you are) refrain from doing so for this thread, so we don't hit the character limit too early. I might request NAMES of the people you're using as character portraits, though, as I'm not sure of the portrait identities of Darryl Bradley and Gareth Rains.

It feels like Solday morning, that same restlessness and difficulty in getting to sleep beforehand, despite sleeping with every single one of your brides-to-be, Loriette, and Gretchen the day before the tournament begins. You end up staying up late, playing your harmonica for the mandrake. It's an ugly little thing, but despite it being green man trickery...you can't blame it for how it was born. It's just a plant. Already, it's gone from being the size of an action figure to the size of a toddler, and has had to be moved from its case to a much larger one.
You fall asleep at some point in the inflatable easy chair you'd set up the hydroponics lab to serenade the rubbery little plant, and wake up wrapped in a blanket and four pale, surprisingly strong limbs. Clemmy smiles sleepily at you, kisses your cheek, and untangles herself from you. Already, you're starting the day off right.
“You must be excited to see General Fairchild.” You mention to her over coffee once you've both freshened up.
She frowns, taking a sip from her space-compatible thermos, “I should be, right?”
“You're not though, are you?” You question. It's pretty obvious.
“C'mon, Roarkey. I know she's done some things she shouldn't, and even though I want to think that she's just been misled or it's all one big mistake or that she has some good reason...I don't know if I believe that anymore. It used to be like she was my only friend, but now that I've got Rosie, and Karen, and Fatima, and, of course, my darling Roarkey...plus little Caesar and Yoritomo and all my buddies at the maid cafe and those rookie girls Fatima and I started training so they wouldn't be so pathetic...” She exhales heavily, “I'm seeing the world a little bit wider now. I'm worried about what's going to happen to her if some of the things I've heard are true. I'm worried about what I'll do to her. I'm scared of me, and that's...that's not a good feeling.”

So you hug her, of course, “That's just what I'd expect of my special girl. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything, and if something has to be done we'll do it together.”
She squeezes you tight, her nails digging into your shoulders, “I'm a bad girl, Roarke. Fairy saved me. She was nice to me when nobody else was. She was my best friend, and I've picked a side she isn't on. Sometimes I think a traitor like me doesn't deserve a boyfriend like you.”
You hug her tighter, responding fiercely, “Clemmy, even if she saved your life, that doesn't mean she owns you. Justice doesn't care about debts. As long as I've known you, you never shied away from doing what you had to do, and most importantly you followed that big heart of yours. I love you, and I can't imagine a world where you and I didn't end up together. There can't be anything wrong with that, I refuse to believe there is.”
She sniffles, “I just wanted you and Fairy to be friends too...where did it all go wrong, Roarke? Wasn't there anything I could have done?”
“Sometimes the hardest thing to admit is when there isn't. You did your best. You stuck up for her more than anyone else in this galaxy has.” You point out.
“But if she really killed those people on Suleiman...if...if she really was using that pirate fleet and letting it do...do that to all of those women...” Clemmy's voice is terrifying when it's full of hate and rage, even to you. You can't say it has an animal sound, wild beasts can't really feel that depth of emotion as far as you know from Species of Earth and your own limited education.
“Then justice will be done.” You say it simply, and when she nods you squeeze each other tight. By Jove, you love that woman.
The only thing more you say on that matter to her is this, “Don't do anything without me there, to her or anyone she's with, but stay on guard and keep yourself safe.”
"O~kay~" She smiles, and hugs you tight, cuddling with you until you absolutely have to go, "But if anyone tries to hurt you so close to the best day of my life, I'm not waiting, I'll kill them and anyone who gets in my way."
There's not much room for arguing with that.

I am Thomas Smith or was Thomas Smith, I suppose that name doesn't quite matter now. I was once a worker at a factory that made peanut butter (Something which I miss dearly). When one day in a moment of pure clarity I began to realize the true nature of the universe and everything within it. I immediately left work and went home to meditate, after what seemed like hours but was apparantly several months my mother finally came to see where I've been and if I was even alive. I then realized that I would need to find somewhere more quiet to ponder these thoughts, and thusly spent my life savings as well as a generous bank loan (that mid-town sports bar will never be opened now) to purchase an underground bunker to be alone. I brought some rations with me (though I seemed to not need to eat as much as I had) and sealed myself in after writing letters to my mother and loved ones briefly stating my situation. I began to meditate on these truths once more, but after spending several years I finally hit some sort of point where I had more and more trouble understanding things until the point I couldn't understand these profound truths laid out before me anymore. I knew I was close though, I was perhaps in some sort of semi-enlightened state much like The Buddha prior to his ascension or the ancient Daoist masters and gurus I've heard about before. The only thing I could think to do was to go outside and hope I could find that spark once again.
I stood up and shook the dust that had accumulated on my body and thought about what my next action should be..

I could feel that I was so close, like I could just reach out and grab it if I stretched my hand out far enough. Another several years had passed since my last meditiation session before I woke up again, and while I feel I've learned more than I knew prior but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I stood up again and once more tried to decide on a plan.

It is the morning after the ritual, hangovers are nursed throughout the organisation as is tradition. But this time it is a very somber and almost scared atmosphere; that something got out is enough to strike terror into the staff. But something getting out and wiping out nigh everyone of the defenders? A lot of people are questioning how long humanity's luck will last.
James is one of them.
A long sleepless night, a long morning, surprisingly few tears, but he's almost become immune to losing people now. It's necesarry in this job to become desensistised to death but he was rather hoping he wouldn't become numb to losing his own.
First Rachel, now Susan. The Departments are experiencing more turnover the past two years than the past decade.

You wake up with a yawnthe heavy weight of your pokemon pressing down on you... well besides Liu, who seems absent... wait why is one of the pillows in that pile black?
You gently shift around your pokemon, Badbug snoozing contently as you poke the black pillow, the illusion smoldering away to reveal Liu's sleepy form. Well you suppose as a new partner you can't expect her to be friends with you just yet...
Hmm that gives you a idea!
Maybe, since you are in a pokemon village you should take the opportunity to bond with your pokemon! You had a great time with Koshmar and Suzie that one time you got lost in the woods and maybe you can do something less lethal. You are sure you can find stuff for them to do if you looked!
You yawn, boy are you sleepy, its like you've been doing nothing but lying in that comfortable mattress for a month.
But that would be ridiculous.

The show must go on :
After taking their well deserved rests, our tribes have come together in an assembly in front of the Chieftain's Longhouse, he has some announcements to make.
Our Chieftain declares that, to ensure the peace between our tribes, and to ease the tensions, he will consider adopting some Sunna customs into the Meno tribe, vice versa however, the Sunna will be bound to follow our new customs as well.
Some raise objections, but they are soon persuaded or convinced to see this law as a necessity.
Some Warriors figured, since they won't be using their spears for melee combat any time soon, thanks to the walls, they might as well help the Hunters.
The Hunters explain how to properly shoot an animal, telling them to always aim for their sides.
The warriors however, novices in the usage of Bows, either miss their targets or hit them in the head instead.
Surprisingly, those head-shots proved even more fatal than aiming for the guts. The Hunters are surprised to say the least, but soon pick up on this initial mistake as a new hunting practice, as Head-Meat is barely usable for us to begin with.
Some Warriors were trying to be cheeky and chugged their spears at the Animal instead.
The Hunters frowned upon this, but the others thought it was a good idea.
Weeks, Months and even an entire Harvesting season pass.
Our Warriors have adopted the practice using Spears for both melee and ranged combat, and Hunters are allowed to use their Bows during war-time ever since the introduction of the Head-shot technique.
Relations have been blossoming as of late, though the Chieftain feels something is wrong.

If you're new and interested in playing, here's how it works:
Everyone decides what our People will do next.
All decisions are made by democratic majority vote.
If multiple decisions are made, only those that do not conflict each other will happen.
Rolling 100 overrides a majority decision.
Multiple cases of rolling 100 will happen in order they were rolled.
Everyone may only roll once per pending decision.
Major historical events, may still occur if the point of Origin remains outside our nation's control. (e.g If we don't own Macedonia by 200BC, Alexander the Great happens, no matter what)
Major Historical events may still occur, if our Nation hosts similar conditions as the Nations we currently occupy, as they would have at the appropriate time.
(e.g If we own Rome after 700BC and our King [you] does some more than questionable decisions, we will become a Republic)
Tripfagging is strongly encouraged!

Whatever the case though, the Chieftain has more important things to worry about right now.
He asks around the village and sends out some scouts, and a couple of hunters, just to make sure that thing he feels isn't tribal tensions.
Surprisingly enough, it isn't. The people seem to enjoy their new lifestyle, there aren't any enemies in sight and no mythical beasts were found either, the Hunters did shoot some nice deer though.
The Chieftain goes back to sleep, this entire day was just a huge pain.

Uh, send diplomats to each of the surrounding tribes to just get any and all pre-existing trial relations so we can pick sides properly. Also to get a nice update on the size, strength and general progress of each tribe.
Physical for the tribe, go out with simple labor, low level builders and seasoned miners to go out to find some ore to get a stead supply of ore/stone.

We have practically 0 clues as to how to mine, let alone identify ore.
Divination is possible, but we don't practice it, if you want it you have to introduce it.
As for the tribes here's the map
The Reds have about 300 warriors.
The Browns got an estimated 500
The northern Teals have an estimated 400
The southern Teals have an estimated 300
The Yellows are too defensive to take measure
The Prussians (black) have too many to even guess

Moody keeps staring at the machine as your ears get bathed in rain and thunder. Of course,
not only your ears. The only thing between storm and sweater is the slim yet long yellow
raincoat that Roomba pretty much summoned from somewhere else. Even if your hair is
getting wet, you like the raincoat. It helps you feel like a detective.
What you /don't/ like is having to stand at the very top of the Friend as it undergoes its first
fall towards the Surface under Toast's reign. Sure, a Roamer is fast over the water, quick to
jump over any threat-
-but slow as FUCK in its descent.
You turn to Moody, your sole companion in this sad travesty. The odd thing's still kneeling in
front of the seven feet tall EKE generator, a hollow tower made from bending steel shapes.
You study the thing intently, mostly out of boredom, as the storms tries to drag you down
with it.
It fails.

I tried this game out before but it become too complex for new people to join in, so it ended in a thread with 3 people playing.
Anyone can join in, all you have to do it follow the rules. In this form it's a play by post game where the rules will constantly change as people participate.
-10 In the case of contradictions, rules with lower numbers take precedent.
-9 Rules created after the initial set, hereafter referred to as the rolling rules, are prefixed with positive integers ranging from 0 to 20, cannot have a value less than 0 or the same number as another rule.
Rolling rules cannot change the prefixes of negatively prefixed rules.
-8 Rules cannot force a poster to break the 4chan rules.
-7 Rules that make impossible or improbable demands are immediately removed from the ruleset. Improbable is defined as something less than a 50% chance. This does not change prefixes as per rule #-6
-6 With each change to the ruleset, rolling rules each have their integer decreased by one, not including any rules created by that act. If a rolling rule's prefix becomes less than 0, it is removed from the rule list.
-5 Each post that makes changes to the rules must include all of the rolling rules and their updated prefixes since the last valid change.
-4 A player is anyone participating in this thread.
-3 With each post a player may add one rule to the rolling rules list.
-2 If a player wins, instead of the game ending, that player can remove up to 3 rules rolling rules. That player may then add in 3 rules. This counts as one change in regards to rule #-6.

For those confused here's what a subsequent post should look like. This is still a valid change to the rules. I'm adding in a rule with the prefix 7 and then #5's prefix gets decreased by 1. The only prefix I couldn't choose for a new rule is 4, since there would then be two rules with the same prefix.
I think rule 7 may give people who don't have many ideas for rules some inspiration.

You've done it. After dozens and dozens of attempts, you've finally made your way onto a E-Class Population Shuttle. Your destination? Vega-282, a small planet on the edge of the system. It's been your dream to make it out to space, to create your own colony, and possible even take over a planet or two and fight back at the oppressive government that's been fighting against the rights of the world for eons. Their ethics of "The rich get richer, and the poor go and work in the Econic Mines for 3 more years." have always been keeping the people who truly deserve the right to control down.
So why wouldn't you take the opportunity to begin planning a massive rebellion? All it requires is to take control of a planet and to make alliances with other planets who share the same goal as you. Or take them over. Whichever works best for you.
You remind yourself of the mission at hand, however, and look out at the stars in front of you. You're currently flying the ship over to Vega-282 by hand. Of course the ship has auto-pilot, but you feel like taking control and flying it there yourself is the right thing to do to instill yourself as the leader of the colony you're supposed to establish. As you fly your ship through the black depths of space, you casually glance over at the monitor to your right, displaying the feed of a security camera, pointed directly at the common area where all of your fellow colonizers (And hopefully future subjects) are socializing. You decide to notify them of the current mission status, but how are you going to greet them? The first attempt of socializing with them is always the most important. It instills your comrades with information of how much they should trust, respect, or fear you. So what approach will you take?

You glance over at the navigation screen and notice that you only have three or four more hours of travel until you arrive at Vega. You decide that the only way to notify the rest of your comrades in a happy manner.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to happily announce that we're only a short distance away from Vega-282!" You listen as the entire crew cheers happily, some of them opening the alcohol stores and sharing around different colored bottles. "I know, it's very exciting. Please, however don't drink all of the booze, I would like some as well. You've all done an excellent job in keeping the ship in a very good condition. I hope all of you continue doing an excellent job when we land and start colonizing."
Suddenly, you see someone shoving her way to the front of the group of people listening to your wonderful speech. You hear her call out "Hey, that's great and all, but who in the hell are you to act like the boss? I haven't heard the name of you in the month that we've been traveling. So what is it? I'm waiting..." You hear the crew chuckle, and some downright laughing, at her question. She wears a smug grin.

Simply put you have found the cultists, and shot the cultists, and looted the cultists. No heretic is getting inside that head of yours, not today.
Also your current helpers have proven to be both agitating and a good means of baiting out psykers. good job mooks.
You have decide to use your fame of being now called a saint by these poor mutants to your advantage and thus have started shouting in hopes they will show up and you can use them as cannon fodder, Guardsman Drez is not happy about this but hay neither were the cultists about you shooting them and why start caring now.
