You are Lieutenant Commander Reynolr, of the Citadel Empire, recently-promoted captain of the CAS Brora (PS-4-917), an armed trawler based in the wretched Kraegsk Archipelago. Your presence here is tied to the nature of the storm-ravaged Kraegsk - north of resource-rich islands and a major naval warzone, the floating wrecks of great warships are carried by the currents to smash against the jagged coasts of the Kraegsk. You are to recover Citadel personnel from wrecks, protect salvage ships, and ensure that the enemy Republic and its craven mercenaries does not gain control of the Kraegsk from their own naval base, at the opposite end of the archipelago. Every month, a convoy of cargo ships picks up scrap that cannot be used or embezzled by the forces of the Kraegsk and takes it back to the naval yards of your homeland - loss of these ships is unacceptable.

Before the Citadel-Republic war, the Kraegsk was inhabited by a series of destitute fishing communities living in the shadow of the ruins of the old Astaeran Empire. Now they are forced into the service of the belligerents, powerless to resist the meager forces allocated to the Kraegsk.

Quite recently, we attended the celebration ball for our share in the victory at Sbvysek. In the company of a certain Céleste Chapuis, we were promoted to Commander by the foppish Provincian Governor and concluded our business with Mr. Huyk on behalf of the Commandant of Sbvysek. After, we had long conversation with Céleste in the empty halls and roof of the Provincial Hall, learning a great deal about the strange and commonly worn amulets of the Scrap Bay nobility - and have strange visions of the the Old Astaeran Empire and our home, Jorodaine. We’re now walking back to the Chapuis residence to bid proper goodbyes, conclude any final business we have in Scrap Bay, and go back out to sea.

Walk Home.jpg

It's early morning as Céleste leads you through the poorly lit Noble Quarter, past increasingly ragged and unkempt mansions and properties. An appreciation for your home in Jorodaine stirs in you - at least that was safe and well-kept. Without exception, the mansions are walled and guarded - armed soldiers, many in the uniform of the Citadel Army, watch you closely from towers and behind machine guns and searchlights.

You walk in silence for some time, occasionally glancing over to see Céleste grinning in the darkness. Protocol dictates you walk her back to her home, though if her stories of the grief-driven debauchery of her parents are to be believed, you'd rather drop her off at the gate.

It occurs to you that if you have any final questions or observations, now's the time to ask.

>It's been a long night. What did you think of it?
>Will I be seeing you again?
>I do hope I never see you or your blasphemy again.
>There's an awful lot of security around here, Céleste.
>Something else?

You are Anonymous! A little nobody in the wide, wide world of the internet. You have stumbled across a website known as "4chan". It seems to be a large building with many ever-changing rooms!

You first find yourself in this room! There are three doors. Two are labeled /v/ and /a/, while the large one is labeled /b/. There seems to be a Not attached to the /b/ door.
In addition, there's a strange machine on the side of the room.

What will you do?

I'll take the first response for right now

Go to /v/, seems like fun.

Last time on EDQ, we gave up the papacy, deradicalized the Draconia Firma, and embarrassed Elizabeth insanely.

We also had Chrysoula cry, extremely upset about her week.

Right now, we're relaxing with Chrysoula.

"Come on Chrysoula. You cried earlier. Who the hell is being a fucking asshole to you?!"

"R-ren, it's fine..."

"It's not fine! Someone was an asshole to my Chrysoula!"

She cuddles up to you, afraid of what you'll do.

"Ren... T-they didn't know, ok?"

"They?"

"I-it was just a group of humans who d-didn't know any better... A-and I don't blame the construction workers for not liking me..."

"WHAT?!"

Worried, she hugs you even harder, as your rage only increases. Both from the alcohol you drank and the anger your experiencing.

"R-ren... Come on..."

You currently are trying to get Chrysoula to tell you more about why her week's been so bad, and apparently there's a bunch of fuckin' assholes...

You grit your teeth, as Chrysoula's grip tightens...

Actions

>Press. Now. If he's getting harassed at work by humans or construction workers... (Satisfy Renexizious's protective nature of his wives. Gives you a upgrade if revenge is fulfilled. Increases Flames and Solaire's opinion of you. Due to Chrysoula being in love with you utterly, you'll suffer no opinion loss from her. Also might actually make Chrysoula happier at work.)
>...Calm down... You have a lovely wife who doesn't want you pissed off... (Calm down and become a little unhappy, and lose opinion with Flames and Solaire... Chrysoula's work happiness might decrease over time though...)
>...Vent your anger a different way... (Get no bonus or side-effect, but Renexizious's rage might bubble up throughout the rest of the week or month.)
>..Tell Elizabeth. She's just as invested to protect her. (Elizabeth get's involved, and she will grant you a bonus to getting Chrysoula to tell you. And Elizabeth might get very angry indeed, unless you try to calm her. Free Action.)

[Ore-eater Confederation]
Yet again, the queens of the Confederation send their drones out to conquer and expand [1/2], though there is a fire at the farms, and some progress is lost [1/4]. Scouts are sent out to salvage any useable ore from the mountains [2/4].

[Lich's Dominion]
With the 'heretics' gone, the Lich is free to proselytize again, though only with minor results [2/4], and the workers in the mining camp resume work as well [3/4]. The forces of the Lich are now more disciplined, as befitting a true fighting force, though there's still much to be done [Discipline I]

[Neo-Thwack]
Lumber Mill built. Lumber Mill break [-2 stone]. Berry picking slow [3/8]. Road built [Road I, +2 stability].

[Yamato]
>Lumber Mill- -1 wood/turn, -1 Industry
>Mine- +1 iron/turn, +1 Industry
Finally, the hot springs are found-by total accident, as a peasant slips and tumbles down a hill, landing with a splash [Hot Springs]. While that is going on, an ocean trade route is established with Ganeshandeggar [Trade Route: Ganeshandeggar- +2 currency/turn], though there is no engineering research.

[Myrovova]
Because the Orcs refuse to follow the orders of the human noblemen, construction of the bowyer falls to the human peasantry [2/4], while the few wizards from the time of Mithridates I set to work copying their knowledge down [2/4]. After weeks of planning the route, trade finally begins between Myrovova and Ganeshandeggar [Trade Route: Ganeshandeggar- +2 currency/turn]

[Men'an'gahela]
There's no progress on the tanning, nor the bows, but the remaining stone stores of the tribe are raided to expand the lumber mill [1/4,-4 stone]

[Arianthea]
The knights are sent back to school [1/12], and the smiths think they've nearly uncovered the secrets of stronger armor [7/8], while the basics of engineering are finally learned in Atley [Engineering I]!

[Fetid Kingdom]
The clubs finally show great progress [7/8], and a great trade route is established through the swamp, finally ending at the Anzhulak Horde- it doesn't take long until the currency flows through the Kingdom like water-dirty, putrid, swampy water [+4 currency/turn].

[Atley]
The City-Kingdom of Atley has earned its reputation well this day- in record time, the first of many 'Arion Golems' are ready [Arion Golem [Swift]- 1 (+1/turn)]. The feast is a great success, with nearly everyone inside the city attending [+2 stability]. When the party is over, however, work begins again as normal [3/12].

[Ganeshadneggar]
>NOTE: Start putting tech that can help with your actions with them,

or they won't be counted.
>+1 currency/turn from Yamato trade route
>+1 currency/turn from Myrovova trade route
The Ganeshi builders finally grasp the basics of engineering [Engineering I], and the temple is complete as well, after a bit of bribery [Temple I, +2 stability, -5 gold]. In response to the trade routes set up by the Yamato and Myrovovan kingdoms, the Raja orders construction of a trade post [1/4, -3 stone].
>>
>>1257718
[Khaz]
The Inquisition calls for a witch hunt, and armed with torches, rope, and pitchforks, the populace is stirred into action [2/4]. The army goes on a long, forced march to improve its discipline [1/12], though methods of fire-starting are not improved- the church says they're fine, so why change?

[Titanic]
Finally, the slaves are being whipped into shape- the improvements to the lumber mill are nearly ready [7/8] While they still have energy left, the slaves are also put to work building a stimulant factory- it is ready quickly [Stimulant Factory I, +1 stimulant/turn, -4 stone]

[Court of the Claw]
The defense of the Court is paramount, and so the workers begin to develop simple spears, crafting long, wooden shafts and beating sharp points out of iron to be fitted into them [2/4, -2 wood, -2 iron]. The constabulary is still being trained [3/4], and the farmers are set by their noble lords to work, experimenting with ways to increase crop yield [2/4].

[Azoth Hegemony]
There is an attempt to complete the transformations, but they are still stuck the same size and shape as before, though armorshaping goes better [3/4]. The soil is tilled, and the expanded farms are nearly ready [7/8]

[The Clan]
>Your sheet is fucked up. You should be gaining +1 base of each resource, not +3
Finally, after months and months of hard work, the Tower of Man is ready. It is glorious, symbolizing the greatness of the Clan, and the people are ecstatic (Tower of Man I, +2 stability). It seems as if the Tower has greatly inspired many people, because as soon as they open, the Recruitment Offices almost need to close, they're so backed up with the amount of people swarming them (Recruitment Offices I, +4 stability]. The Colonization act stumbles, but still sees a bit of progress [4/6].

[Solitary]
The dungeon once again expands its lands [+7 hex, +1 pop/turn, -3 stability, +4 currency], and though there's no progress on raising more undead, work on the lumber mill increases [5/8].

[Theocracy]
The gnoll mystics finally make a breakthrough [Air II]! The gnolls dig even deeper into the mountain [3/8], and construction of a smithy begins [1/4, -4 stone].

[Geo-Enclave]
>10 pop to reasearch facility- now provides slightly bigger research bonuses
The Geo-Enclave easily develops basic crystalsmithing [Crystalsmithing I], and the mine as well as further earth magic is complete [6/8;7/8]

[Anzhulak Hordes]
No training gets done, but the troops are upgraded with Shadow Bolts, though they feel they should now be compensated for their service [1.2x[-1 currency/turn, -1 food]. Armed with their capturing gear, the goblin party arrives at the warg den...only to find that no one is home.

[Festungurtel]
The scribes of the Barondom are set to work improving their writing skills [2/4], and the farmers have completed their work- moving different crops from field to field has increased their yield greatly [Agriculture I]. Work on the bowyer also progresses, but not much [2/4].
>>

General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics involve three rolls of 1d100, taking the best, and using the base accuracy and crit ranges of the game, roughly, but the 'turn order' will be more like the anime, where sometimes you can do a few moves in a row or be hit by a combo of moves yourself, all depending on circumstances. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves, so beware of that timing. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first. Infact, you can do more than one move in a row like the anime, but so can your opponents.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture, mostly likely a butt.

House Blackett.png

Four hundred years ago, Harwyn Hoare granted the lands of the Blacksoil to Darvin Blackett. Blackett, a reaver and warrior of some renown, a proud killer and champion of the Ironborn, took this as a slight. Foisting rotted swamp and marsh onto him? The dead end of the Blue Fork? Oooh no, that'll not stand. So the revenge of Blackett was twofold; Firstly, betraying his king and siding with House Mallister of Seagard to stand against him. Secondly, striving to be the finest bloody governers and lords possible, hammering the dead and rotted lands into fertile and profitable ground. Over the generations, House Blackett has seen it's fair share of madness and strife, but has always come through for its lands and its people. Nearly forgotten by many of the more noble houses, remembered only by our liege, close friends, and trading partners, we trudge on, crafting our own fate and fortune. We Sow, We Reap, We Grow.

The last week has been busier than any you've suffered in years. A replacement for your poor ancient maester, passed in his sleep, arrived. Your daughter began to grow into her own as you finally agreed to let her start learning the simpler arts of combat. You chose, after ten long years of mourning, to fulfil your duties as Lord, remarry, and father a proper heir. Then, on the road to visit your liege and offer reports, and in truth to ask for aid, you met a good hearted and noble young knight- nearly caved his chest in though. You made up for it by slaying his foes with ease and style, shattering and cleaving Ironborn raiders into chunks and smears. Your daughter, a street and king young girl, found herself gripped by one of the more dangerous madnesses known to your family; The Bloodrage. The Black Beast. She'll be learning to control that.

You met with a handful of lords, carefully trying to discuss the possibilities of meeting with and courting the unattached females of their families. You've three possibilities right now. Mariya Darry, Arriet Grell, and Lianne Roote. Each has their perks, and you need to consider it. Further, there's others you have yet to meet or learn of.

For now, however, you are tired of such things. Onwards, to things you're better with. Things you do not stumble at, and bumble through. You're not a people person, as it were. Much more a hurting people person. Thus, you collect your daughter, thanking the ser Silverwood for his kind aid, and head out into the yard. People are chatting and drinking here aswell, but primarily they are watching young knights and squires sparring. The youthful eagerness of the young fighters helps put a touch of pep in your step, and your warrior hearted daughter is full of goodcheer at getting to watch herself. Numerous knights and lesser lords mill about the edge of the yard, while the center is taken up by swordsmen fighting with wooden blades and shields.

Oh shit nigger it's a /qst/ adventure thing. That I'm pretty sure I saw someone did before and I'm ripping them off but I can't remember the name so I can't credit them. Yea.

6+1 persons form an adventuring party in a nondescript generic fantasy land. Each with their own colour code for my convinience: Green, Blue, Yellow, Teal, Orange and Purple. Also Red, Who is a robot, but nobody bothered to investigate yet.
Each chacacter needs at least 1 player to be the voices in their head to tell them what to do n shit. And the party only needs 4 active members. The rest are part of the Backup Reserve Formation.

Just give yourself a name with the character's team color to identify which person you belong to. Ex: Yellow Faggot"

The party's current quest is to travel to the Obvious Evil Tower to Rescue the Princess.

The poker game is set up in the common room on the sixth floor, one of two in the building (the other is on the third floor) that is used for birthday parties, neighborhood watch meetings, and other events. The walls are the same dingy beige as the rest of the building, and the plaster is cracked and flaking. The once-green carpet is almost black with wear under the folding table Janice drags out from a storage closet in the corner each game. A cheap chandelier lights the room adequately. It’s not a dive, but it’s not exactly new, either.

The table’s set up, and the chips are down. You were all a little late, thanks to road construction out front. Janice was even late, and she’s the one who keeps everything organized and sets up the game. But there she is, in her green dealer’s visor, shuffling the deck. She smiles at each of you as you take your seats. “Sorry guys,” she says. “I didn’t have time to get the snacks together. I figured it’d be best if I got you set up and going before I run back down to grab them.”

She begins to deal and a brief silence follows...

You are Captain Kusajishi Riku, and under orders from Head Captain Kyōraku you've taken four Lieutenants under your wing to train them for the battle coming in winter. Each of them has their own strengths and weaknesses which you've teased out by either fighting them or watching them fight: Miyako suffers from the fact that her zanpakuto is difficult to use and her reiatsu is unremarkable, while Momo doesn't take the initiative and her kenjutsu skills are lacking. Renji's still struggling with the self-control required to use kidō properly, and that same lack of control has kept his true Bankai beyond his reach. Last and least there's Kira, who could make something of himself if he weren't such a hot mess of insecurity and poor training practices.

“To learn kenjutsu without knowing pain leads to poor kenjutsu,” you mutter, tossing Wabisuke to the ground next to Kira where he's rolled to his knee. You feel your body lighten somewhat as the zanpakuto steams and straightens its form back into that of a proper katana. “Likewise trying to rely on an ability without truly knowing its effects leads to poor zanjutsu.”

“You all show some promise in your own strengths, but you have a lot of work ahead of you,” you address the four Lieutenants as a group. “Now, it's time for you to see what a Lieutenant can do when they've succeeded in combining all your respective strengths.”

With a smile, you welcome another newcomer to the training field, one whose presence at your side is always welcome and whose assistance you have long valued above damn near any other.

“Rangiku, it's finally time you showed your cohort what you can really do.”

“I'll do what I can,” your Lieutenant sighs, rubbing the base of her neck.

“Rough night?”

Rangiku nods grimly. “Yeah, woke up with a nasty crick in my neck.”

“How about now?” you ask, having stepped behind her in an instant and given her body a solid jerk. For a moment your patient tests the results by lifting and turning her chin.

“Good job,” she nods, “you managed to overcorrect. Now it's on the other side.”

“It's always something with you, isn't it?” you tease.

“I suppose I should just be grateful you didn't snap my neck.”

“Please,” you smirk before turning to explain to a puzzled and concerned Kira. “Make no mistake I am that prone to overdoing it, it's just her neck is tougher than that.”

“It had to be,” Rangiku counters airily. “Otherwise I might not've survived being raised by you. Seriously, what would you have done if you'd adopted a squishier kid?”

“Point is you're not squishy,” you sigh, “and I want you to help me make your fellow Lieutenants here less squishy.”

“I don't particularly appreciate being called squishy,” Renji grumbles. “We're Lieutenants for cryin' out loud, haven't we earned some respect?”

“And there's the attitude again,” you round on him. “Do you know the purpose of a Lieutenant, Renji? Don't answer that, it's rhetorical... the answer is that as a Lieutenant you're expected to take over for a Captain some day.”

“Take over for Captain Kuchiki?” Renji frowns, considering the point.

“That's right. The rank exists because the Gotei 13 relies on the power of its Captains in emergencies, and when a Captain dies or is forced to retire we have to replace them as quickly as possible. Having skilled Lieutenants allows us to recruit from a standing pool of candidates in that eventuality.”

“At one point we had a sizable pool to draw on including some seated officers, but the last hundred years have taken a toll. Right now we have one Lieutenant who's capable of handling that sort of responsibility and it sure as hell isn't you, Renji. I've been there, Hell would agree.”

“And who might that one be?” Renji snorts. “Certainly not Ikkaku?”

“Renji, think about that carefully,” Hinamori sighs. “Of course she means Rangiku.”

“I'd heard she knows Bankai, but I've never seen it... and are her other abilities really so far beyond ours?” Kira muses.

>Rangiku, I think four-on-one sounds... well, ALMOST fair.
>I'm curious to see how you've improved, Rangiku. You versus me.
>If you doubt her ability I'm sure she can demonstrate.

Always her heavy hooves fall
On our stomachs, our hearts, or our heads
And Pyther never heeds when we call

----
The truth is this, bitter as tastes. We cannot hope to stand against the Legion. They march on us with more material and men than there are stars in the sky. A flowing river of steel. Kill three, another steps up. They've swallowed kingdom after nation after state, and they'll do the same to us in time.

--
Mistletoe killing, an oak
Rats gnawing cables in two
Moths making holes in our coats
How they must love what they do

--

But our task is not to defeat the warmachine of Pytheria. We cannot grind a nation that rules the world to halt simply be clogging the gears with our blood and bone.

Our task is simpler and all the more terrible for it. Because our mission is to delay them. Every hour that the Pytherians do not hold Isfelt is another hour Vanadiar persists. And for every lost legionaire in this morass of a summer war, the more plebians of Pyther will turn against the expansionist desires of their Senate. If we hold long enough, if we delay enough, if we merely slow the grinding industry of war with enough determination we'll win for no other than this:

Pytheria is a nation of neat, effecient people. And if we make them choke on their avarice, they'll think the cost too high to pay.

And we will be free.
--
Yes and we little folk too
We are as busy as they
Working our works out of view
Watch and you'll see it someday

Or so we hope.

With the legion, who can tell? Perhaps if we kill them all and pile their armor in mountains, perhaps then they'll still keep coming.

Let them.

We are prepared in the end to hold the line, if that's what it takes. Perhaps the company is not a warmachine, and not the rulers of the world, but at the end of it all we do one thing well.

We die standing.

Here's the last post by OP:

Urgaroy orders the tribe to hunker down and dig in behind our defences, as well as set up a few more spikes and pittraps just inside the moat.

The dark orc scouting party sets up a siege camp just out of range of our slings, and their taunts and jeers can be heard day and night.

Our boom of 150 orc spawn has now matured into warriors. 50 of them have even become Berzerkers.

A. Sally out and meet them head-on with all our strength
B. Keep sitting behind our defenses and preparing for a siege
C. Hurl the head of the slave envoy at them
D. Keep fortifying the village with traps and rudimentary defences
E. Improve food production
F. Improve military and defence
G. Improve population
H. Research new technology
I. Explore
J. Pray for deliverance
K. Other

Welcome to Phase Quest! You live in New Autumn City, a place of hope, of freedom, and a promise of a better future- just not for you. You are a super, imprisoned on this island to keep the “mundanes” of the outside world safe. Essentially, you are a prisoner citizen of a country island called “Avarice Island” in the middle of the Pacific about half the size of Alaska. It's not at all bad, here; there are schools, parks, government, essentially everything needed for a nation. The only difference is that everyone here has a super power. The year is currently 2047.
Most people have weak powers, such as minor super strength or the ability to stretch their arm a few inches, things that make them better than the average human. These "Little League" supers make up about 85% of the New Autumn population. Then comes Minor League, Major League, and World Series level Supers. You will be playing as a Minor League Super, and as you fight and succeed you will grow stronger. You are a student at Avarice Academy.
Common Knowledge:
There are hundreds of small supers gangs throughout the city. Some of them own districts as their turf, some just like to occasionally cause trouble. Luckily for the people of New Autumn, occasionally vigilantes rise up to fight; along with the feared Legion Task Force of Quantum. Vigilantism is illegal here; this isn’t the shiny metropolis full of caped crusaders you seen in comic books. If a vigilante is caught by Quantum, they are killed. Strangely, they don’t seem to be as interested in gang violence, especially when the gangs fight each other. Right now at the start of your story, it is likely that your character isn’t familiar with these gangs, except for Firewall.

"Quantum" is the corporation that acts as the standing government of New Autumn City and Avarice Island as a whole. Through them they export and import trade with other nations, among other things such as running the police force of the city. However, they have been known to partake in shady business practices, and their president, Mr. Richard Adder, is rarely seen.
"Firewall" is the biggest gang in the city, big enough to be able to put up a fight against Quantum. They are essentially the mafia/Triad/Yakuza. They own part of the city, and while they fuck shit up occasionally, they have been known to be honorable and true to their word. Not much is known about their system or hierarchy.

“The Hunter Order” is an organization very similar to monasteries in Tibet. In fact, that’s where their base is located. Hunters are trained as anti-super soldiers, using gadgets and skill to take down their superpowered opponents. They are the ones that enforce the anti-super laws in the world, they are the ones that take supers into New Autumn City, and they are the ones that guard the perimeter. Their goal is not to “defeat” or “destroy” supers, but to separate them from the general human population and maintain peace.

“UNAC”, or the United Nations Arms Coalition, is essentially the world’s military. In the 2020s the United Nations took groups of military from every nation that was a member, and created UNAC. UNAC is the group that ensures that Avarice Island is secure and that all unregistered supers are brought there. They work with the Hunter Order.

How do we have Superpowers?

It all started back in 1984, when a rift in time and space was discovered somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. After many years of publicity, study, and experimentation, the rift opened. Radiation poured out, along with a strange artifact called "The Obelisk". This "Super Radiation" spread through the West Coast of the United States and the east coast of Asia like the plague, and after many years of chaos, supers became a thing, the Hunter Organization became a thing, superpowers spread all over the world, and supers were caught and brought to a newly created New Autumn City.
And hey! Lots of time passed! It's 2047 now!

"Okay but I meant like how do we have superpowers? Like, what's the biology behind it?"
Okay, nerd. Basically, when the body is introduced to Super Radiation or the blood of a Super or like having sex with a Super or essentially most STD/Disease related ways, you gain Fever.
Fever is a bodily fluid produced by Supers, it is the essence of your power, and provides you with energy to use said power. The fluid runs through your veins and arteries along with your blood, and a fifth chamber (more akin to a tumor) is added to your heart that pumps Fever. The problem with Fever is that if it is overworked, it will overproduce and will turn you into a crazy, powerful mutant without any human thought. A drug called "Cryo" is sold by Quantum to prevent mutation, and it allows you to fight longer and harder. However, the more cryo you take without breaks, the more resistant you become to it. There is also a drug called "Shiver" also sold by Quantum (albeit it being WAY more expensive) that allows you to suppress your powers and even get rid of them if used long enough. Supers ashamed of being the way they are use that and pretend to be Mundane, and some Supers are allowed to live in the outside world by taking that drug consistently.

This is my first quest, let me know how I can improve.
Feel free to draw stuff! I am not an artist myself.
I think that should about cover it? I'm certain there is more, and please ask a bunch of questions so I can clear stuff up.
Time to pick your character!
>A. Kathryn Myerson, a brunette girl that is a quarter Japanese, and proud of her heritage due to the atrocities Japan went through in the past decade. She is a junior at Avarice Academy, and has the power of telekinesis along with some basic sword training. She is secretly a vigilante that goes by the name of “Bloodline”. She is rather serious and has a short fuse, but she ha training.
>B. Tyler Fortune, a boy with a stylish blue ascot and blonde hair. He is a senior at Avarice Academy, and has a few powers. He has a subspace pocket where he can store an indeterminate amount of things that fit in the hole, he has the power of luck, and he can cast spheres of chaos(I have a list of 100 effects, I roll a d100 and whatever effect is chosen occurs in the radius of the sphere. Will post if he is picked.) Tyler is on the school baseball team, but has no combat experience.

Kathryn’s Inventory
One fever level detection watch
A violin case containing a violin and a katana in a secret compartment
A backpack containing various notebooks and school supplies

Tyler’s Inventory
One fever level detection watch
Baseball equipment
A bottle of water
A backpack containing various notebooks and school supplies
Many various items in your subspace pocket, including(but not limited to) water wings, a hammer, nails, rope, a .357 magnum(your father’s), 8 bottles of cheap beer.

"Lucky AND grateful. I know those two you hang around with the most - the red one and the blue one - and I've no doubt they'd have flown off the handle the moment they saw what we did to Tomoe Mami." Your former Warmaster lets out a breath, before looking up at you. "Chiaki, you have to realize that you're not the only one suffering here. We're hurting too. It's just..." She turns to the grisly spectacle before you and nods towards it, audibly swallowing. "We can't overlook this, even if we wanted to. Even if it's her."

You have no reply to that, other than the creak of your abused hands clenching into white-hot, painful fists.

"This is why I brought you here. This is why I asked Kyuubey to bring you along. So you could see and understand." The smaller woman's voice is all but a delicate whisper in your ear now. "To understand what she'd done, why she did it, and what you need to do...Nameless One."

That gets a reaction from you, and you turn to Vintage, to ask her what she meant. But before you could even meet eyes with her, she'd stepped forward ahead of you, clapping both her hands.

"Alright, you dildos. We're here. She's here. Let's get this sordid business over and done with while we're still drawing breath." The cheerful, chipper tone in the bespectacled Equerry's voice is back, shattering the otherwise oppressive solemnity of the chapel. "Wait, where's Hazuki? Isn't she supposed to be presiding over this--"

"The Warmaster is indisposed," One particularly nasty-looking specimen with pristine white armor and severely-cut long black hair cuts the mousy office-lady off, her voice a strong and rich baritone that filled the entire chapel. Clearly someone used to sermonizing in front of a chapel of black-armored Magical Girls, or roaring blood-curling threats at heretics.

"But she is, as always, watching. In the meantime, she's elected that I preside over Tomoe Mami's trial and execution." She nods towards you, thick eyebrows arched. "Welcome, Chiaki Matsuda, Warmaster of the Ninth. It is unfortunate we had to meet under such dire circumstances, but here we are."

You make to react, but Vintage's surprised - and offended - outburst beats you to the punch. "But I'm her Equerry! If she's busy, then I should--"

"You have emotional and familial ties to the Ninth Officio Assassinorum, Equerry Karasawa." The sharp-faced young woman makes her way to the 'altar' - her obviously priceless artifact armor's servos purring with her every movement - and it's at the jewel-festooned, skull-encrusted throne there that she stops, turning so slightly to face you and the rest of the chapel. "While the Ninth itself is not being judged here, the fact that you come from the same Officio as the Accused means that you are compromised and thus exempt from the trial itself."

Shock. Then outrage. "Kiryuin, you fucking know that I outrank you--"

"Not an argument." The black-haired woman's small, frosty smile is as sharp as the cutting retort that sliced through Vintage's frustrated growl. "Our Warmaster has spoken, and by her word we shall conduct the proceedings." She looks around the chapel. "Is there anyone else who objects to such an arrangement? No? Then let us proceed posthaste."

"W-wait. Wait. Before that, shouldn't we be introducing ourselves to Matsuda, at least?" Vintage is clearly on edge now but also obviously trying her best to maintain a semblance of composure. "Present circumstances aside, this IS her first time here, among...esteemed peers." There's the tiniest bit of venom that you can detect in that pause, small enough that it could be mistaken as
frustration - but it was there, and you're surprised no one else picked it up, judging by the stony expressions on the rest of the chapel's occupants. That or they're just used to Vintage being contentious.

Silence, here, before the white-armored woman shakes her head. "Karasawa, this is a trial of the most serious import. The Accused is here, crucified according to her wishes, and awaiting judgment. Proper introductions can wait until after the fact."

"Shouldn't we ask her, then? Despite everything else, Matsuda does share the rank that our absentee Warmaster. That DOES count for something, yes?" The bespectacled Equerry snaps back, before turning to you.

How do you respond?

[]Shake your head. You don't care what their names are. All you care about is hearing what Mami has to say.
[]Nod. Yeah, you'd like to know who they are. Putting names to the faces you're staring would be nice, at least.
[]Shrug noncommittally, light a cigarette. Instead ask why the First Warmaster couldn't be bothered to show her fucking face.

Welcome to RandomQuest. I'm tired of writing stories that try to make sense. Let's make a quest where anything goes. There doesn't need to be any continuity or logic, so anyone can jump in and make a suggestion.

All I want now is for you to give me a gender, a species and a setting to start the story and then after that, you can do whatever you want.
