You are Sonia Reynard, Viscount of Rioja and a member of House Jerik-Dremine. You and your House continue to gain in power and prestige thanks to recent victories. While still small numerically the other Houses of the greater Dominion have begun to take notice of your strength and influence.

The civil war that has consumed the Dominion continues to rage as the Major Houses struggle for position and dominance. While an ally of the current Ruling House you have increasingly voiced support for House Ber'helum as their replacement.
If things go according to plan they may be able to stage a peaceful transition of power at a later time. For now the two are allies of convenience against more pressing threats.

Houses Nasidum, Xygen and Bonrah form the core of the opposition. The two sides are roughly in a stalemate at the moment but both continue to look for ways to increase their strength.

Rioja is earning you and your House a great deal of money being strategically located on a passage connecting the Centri Cluster to South Reach. Civilian trade increases each week and the Major Houses are continuing to evaluate how to take advantage of this. Your side and the remaining neutral Houses can openly send convoys through, but there are undoubtedly smugglers moving supplies and resources for the enemy as well.

Forces in South Reach continue to face off in skirmishes and other low intensity regional conflicts. In the Centri cluster the fighting remains more severe though its intensity continues to diminish.

Given the need to defend what heavy warship assets the House has you've spent the past few months conducting raiding missions in the Centri Cluster. By raiding logistics and sticking to tactics you're best at you've had a greater impact with less forces.

You really were intrigued by her proposal. "You'll cook for me huh?"

"Yep!" Holly says with a proud, smug smile. "I'll definitely make you say it's delicious! Then I'll make you say..." She then deepens her voice, as if trying to imitate yours. "Your cooking is so good! Good enough to get married!"

"Alright, then... I'll accept your challenge."

With her challenge accepted, you follow her to her apartment. From last night, the situation has reversed. Now, it was you who found yourself inside her apartment. 'So this is a high school girl's apartment now huh?' You think to yourself as you look around her mostly empty apartment. 'I guess she is still in the process of moving in.'

"Sorry about the mess." She playfully sticks out her tongue and scratches the back of her head trying to appear cute. "I haven't had much chance to clean up since yesterday."

"Don't worry about it." You just smile at her. "It's surprisingly clean." That was what you observed. In fact, her apartment only had one piece of furniture in it. The living room on the couch.

"I hope you don't mind but I don't have a dining table yet so we'll have to eat at the couch."

You quickly glance at her dining room and you confirm it really was empty. "I don't mind." Then, you turn back to Holly. "But it seems like you aren't prepared for this... Are you sure you even have pots and pans and cutlery to serve the food on?"

That was when Holly turns pale. "Ah... That's right... I only brought one plate and one pair of chopsticks..." It almost looked like she just saw a ghost.

The halls of the Aleksander have finally stopped shuddering, and a quiet all clear echoes along the speakers in a dozen decks ahead and behind you as you, Jack Dempsey of the UED Commanders Corp march the halls. If there were any guesses to be had Alexi was in one of two places, the executive command bridge which you had visited earlier, or the science bay. Hoping that you can catch him as he concludes the post scram analysis with Dugalle and the other officers you make your way there first, and your boots put you before the stylized blast doors.

Benkei was a small town inland somewhere north of the highway that would have taken you to Kishin Metro. It wasn’t that far off, but it wasn’t a place that you would have fired up a car for a leisure cruise, either. The old man, bless his heart, had kept the pace constant instead of the constant violent lurches and stunts that you felt your body was adapting to on a cellular—if not atomic—level as the jeep thundered down the stretch; you’re not sure if Yuu would have started crying or moving to break her vow of non-violence against humanity. In any case, you were thankful.

The Submarine in question has been quiet, staring at the speeding scenery; you pass by an abandoned petrol station, remembering that the oil corporations had shut down one by one over the last few years as the Congregation acted… it wasn’t a popular decision, but you can at least see where they were coming from. Supply was already in short demand just before the KanMusu had come along and many of the subsidies were being pulled out to keep things manageable for the nation; the emergency status had been effect since you were old enough to write in cursive.

You pass by the sign that indicated Benkei’s town limits.

It looked like any other hilly country town from here; houses and shops and one big road that probably coiled through and around it.

‘Over there; that is the First Admiral’s residence.’

Yuu points to a walled house that seemed to have its own personal path deviated from the main road… so high that the only thing that you could make out were the old-fashioned roof shingles and horns. The Old doesn’t say a word, taking the narrow road and driving up to the building, where an old-fashioned wooden gate—probably enough to take on a cannon blast—stood, complete with intimidating door knobs and a foreboding declaration on the top, written elegantly—albeit in a rather aged fashion.

You couldn’t even see the house from this close—its walls were at least two thirds the height of your own barracks.

‘I am sure the First Admiral wouldn’t mind your presence, Commander.’

Yuu looks up with her big pale eyes, clutching her bag.
